I agree there were way too many idols and I screamed at the tv when Ben found his 2nd and 3rd idols and when Chrissy read the “secret advantage” of the fire challenge. I sympathised for Ben with his story but Chrissy killed it this season!

The final four consisted of Chrissy, Ryan, Devon and Ben. Since Chrissy, Ryan and Devon had been trying to vote Ben out the past few tribal councils. They knew that if Ben didn't win immunity in the final four then he'd be voted out and they would have gotten rid of their biggest threat. However, the winner of the final four also won the twist which allowed them to take one of the final four to the final three with them, and leave the other two remaining contestants to battle it out in a fire making challenge for that third spot. Chrissy won final immunity and took Ryan to the final three with her because she thought Devon had a better chance of beating Ben in a fire duel. however Ben won the duel and Devon was eliminated. Ben then went on to win the season because of his numerous idol plays etc. :)

They did not rig the end for Ben. They decided on that format change at the start of the season, before they even knew Ben would be in the Final Four. Why would they rig a season for such an unlikeable player?

While I agree idols are overabundant in many recent seasons, to call a season "rigged" because it works out in favor of someone you hate is idiotic. Devens also found 3 idols, yet no one claims Edge of Extinction was rigged for him for one simple reason: he didn't win. If Ben has lost that fire-making challenge to Devon, these conspiracy theories would not exist.

Devon would have won if Ben went home. 6 of the jury members said that their vote would have gone to him if that were the final 3. Sounds like Chrissy is more similar to Russel than Ben

Ben literally found one of the idols on the way back from a confessional, and he found another under a boat that production already new he had a pattern of sitting on (and nobody else). It was literally set up so that no matter what, Ben would be within a couple feet of the idols.

This seasons twist sucked and should have happened a long time ago if it was ever decided. So many good 4th place players never had the chance ben had. Chrissy was robbed.
That's exactly why they instated the twist--so those 4th place players would have a better shot. You can adjust your strategy now by attempting to boot those players earlier.

Heres an interesting idea for next season given it would be post quarantine and a restart/ reset/ rise from the ashes moment in history... Survivor: Back to Before. It would be a back to basics themed season where there are no idols, no advantages, no redemption/exile/ghost/extinction island, no final 4 fire twist, back to individual jury speeches, put back the old school tribal council theme music, and to top it off have it set place in Borneo (as a nod to this shows roots). It would be very interesting to watch contestants expecting idols and advantages galore to truly have to fight and fend for themselves for the win.

Ben did not win because of the sob story which was mentioned for, what, fifteen seconds in the whole final tribal? He won because he never said die, even in the face of seemingly impossible odds. He was like Chris from Vanuatu or Danni from Guatemala in terms of his underdog story.

@@itsikabitch9005 Rick Devens found just as many idols as Ben, and like Ben, he found all of them post-merge, and one in the early morning on Day 38. Was production rigging the season for him, too? What about when Tai found 3 idols in Game Changers? What about Ben's idol from Winners at War? Also, every player had the same access to that boat. When everyone saw Ben go out into the forest looking for an idol on Night 37, they should have instigated a mass-idol search like the final 6 in David vs. Goliath. Maybe then one of them would have found it before him. As far as that clue being on the path to one of Ben's confessionals, you'll have to link me some article in which Ben, another player or a production member specifies this as the location. It looked to me like it was a tribe-accessible path. Also, weren't Ben's confessionals on the _beach_ whilst the idol clue was in the _forest?_ Why would they rig the season for Ben? Chrissy would be a preferable winner from a production standpoint because, at the time, they wanted more female winners for an all-winners season (Amber and Parvati had expressed disinterest in playing again when contacted for previous seasons), and it was pretty clear that Ben was an unlikeable player. Survivor is a zero-sum game; Ben easily could have been one of those final boots who could have won the game and were edited as a decoy winner, and his story for the season would have worked just as well. You can argue that Ben wasn't one of the greatest winners of all time; after his showing in Winners at War, I'd somewhat agree with you. However, to claim his win was rigged would be egregious. The show already had one lawsuit in season 1 when they manipulated the outcome of a vote (not the whole season like you're claiming, _one vote_), and Chrissy has stated in separate interviews with Entertainment Weekly and Inside Survivor that she was not robbed and Ben deserved to win.

Yeah, it's really dumb, and on the outset, most of the jury now regret voting Ben. Especially how people called out the rigged timing of Chrissy's "advantage" something that she just doesn't get to chose if it's used or not. Would be fine if was announced to everyone for the season but they did it in a way where they did it so close to final tribal with no counterplay or choice and masked it as "advantage." I don’t care what you have to say. This Final 4 twist didn’t change the game at all. If Ben won immunity he takes Ryan to the end and Devon wins against Chrissy. Ben still wins. Chrissy screwed her own game at the mike vote. If she took out Devon and she still wins Immunity and she should’ve took mike to the end. Ben still probably beats Ben. But Chrissy probably gets Devon’s vote, (3-5-0) even though Ben still wins. But what if Ryan won against Ben? Then Chrissy probably wins 8-0-0 it was a game of chances and Chrissy played it safe.
Well actually she was against tough competitors in challenges and she was doing more than okay on others things than the puzzle. (2 females and 5 males, and Ashley was quite a competitor as well) For example, she arrived like 2nd on the final plateform of one of the challenge, and she did really okay at the water one, arriving before 2 males and like 20 sec after Devon... So yeah, man, challenge queen x)
Chrissy was not robbed you all act like Ben never deserved to be there even tho the last 4 or 5 days they told him to his face they were voting him out and sat around and did nothing while he went out and found 4 idols. He clawed his way back into the game and did so again when he had to build a fire to stay in (best part is she didn't tell him so his competitor would have a better chance). Not taking away from Chrissy cause she very well could of been champ too but lets not act like Ben was not as deserving to win cause he was.
This was my first time watching an entire survivor season from start to finish. Chrissy was immediately my favourite and still remains to be. She 100% should have won

The healers blew it by voting for Ben and his story. This isn't a hand-out, it's a contest. Chrissy outwitted and outsmarted Ben, It's a shame she received only two votes.
Jonathan BarSela Ben outwitted and outsmarted Chrissy by finding those idols before anyone else did. Ben did not win because of the sob story which was mentioned for, what, fifteen seconds in the whole final tribal? He won because he never said die, even in the face of seemingly impossible odds. He was like Chris from Vanuatu or Danni from Guatemala in terms of his underdog story.

@@itsikabitch9005 Rick Devens found just as many idols as Ben, and like Ben, he found all of them post-merge, and one in the early morning on Day 38. Was production rigging the season for him, too? What about when Tai found 3 idols in Game Changers? What about Ben's idol from Winners at War?
Also, every player had the same access to that boat. When everyone saw Ben go out into the forest looking for an idol on Night 37, they should have instigated a mass-idol search like the final 6 in David vs. Goliath. Maybe then one of them would have found it before him. As far as that clue being on the path to one of Ben's confessionals, you'll have to link me some article in which Ben, another player or a production member specifies this as the location. It looked to me like it was a tribe-accessible path. Also, weren't Ben's confessionals on the _beach_ whilst the idol clue was in the _forest?_
Why would they rig the season for Ben? Chrissy would be a preferable winner from a production standpoint because, at the time, they wanted more female winners for an all-winners season (Amber and Parvati had expressed disinterest in playing again when contacted for previous seasons), and it was pretty clear that Ben was an unlikeable player. Survivor is a zero-sum game; Ben easily could have been one of those final boots who could have won the game and were edited as a decoy winner, and his story for the season would have worked just as well.
You can argue that Ben wasn't one of the greatest winners of all time; after his showing in Winners at War, I'd somewhat agree with you. However, to claim his win was rigged would be egregious. The show already had one lawsuit in season 1 when they manipulated the outcome of a vote (not the whole season like you're claiming, _one vote_), and Chrissy has stated in separate interviews with Entertainment Weekly and Inside Survivor that she was not robbed and Ben deserved to win.

@@regularperson7380 it was revealed in post-season press that Chrissy would have won next to Devon. thats why people are upset bc Ben should have been voted out 3-1 at F4 and then Chrissy would have gone on to win the game.
Look I didn’t even like Chrissy when I watched the season but I was still pissed when she didn’t win. She deserved it the most.

Though, it's on Chrissy to make sure she was good with the jury. She would have been good if the outside random ass "advantage" she had no choice of using did not screw her. At that point how do you, outwit that? Maybe, if she gave up immunity and go against Ben in a fire-making but no one's beating the vet in making fire lol. So that whole thing was really suspicious. And with that excuse of them saying they already planned that advantage a few seasons back, that's bs. Who can really fact check them on that except themselves. They can say whatever they want and no one outside of production can prove that.

Chrissy and Devon were the best players in S35 and because of the twist Ben wins ;( Without it we would have had a real showdown at final 3.

Yeah, it's really dumb, and on the outset, most of the jury now regret voting Ben. Especially how people called out the rigged timing of Chrissy's "advantage" something that she just doesn't get to chose if it's used or not. Would be fine if was announced to everyone for the season but they did it in a way where they did it so close to final tribal with no counterplay or choice and masked it as "advantage." Where's the outwit and outplay in that if ur gon to pop that out of nowhere.

I don’t care what you have to say. This Final 4 twist didn’t change the game at all. If Ben won immunity he takes Ryan to the end and Devon wins against Chrissy. Ben still wins. Chrissy screwed her own game at the mike vote. If she took out Devon and she still wins Immunity and she should’ve took mike to the end. Ben still probably beats Ben. But Chrissy probably gets Devon’s vote, (3-5-0) even though Ben still wins. But what if Ryan won against Ben? Then Chrissy probably wins 8-0-0 it was a game of chances and Chrissy played it safe.

She wasn’t really a challenge beast more a puzzle beast because she basically only got back on the puzzles
Well actually she was against tough competitors in challenges and she was doing more than okay on others things than the puzzle. (2 females and 5 males, and Ashley was quite a competitor as well) For example, she arrived like 2nd on the final plateform of one of the challenge, and she did really okay at the water one, arriving before 2 males and like 20 sec after Devon... So yeah, man, challenge queen x)
Chrissy was not robbed you all act like Ben never deserved to be there even tho the last 4 or 5 days they told him to his face they were voting him out and sat around and did nothing while he went out and found 4 idols. He clawed his way back into the game and did so again when he had to build a fire to stay in (best part is she didn't tell him so his competitor would have a better chance). Not taking away from Chrissy cause she very well could of been champ too but lets not act like Ben was not as deserving to win cause he was.

Just because you win all immunity challenges does NOT mean everyone is supposed to like you. By that logic, Tasha should be one of the best survivor players because she must have won like 10 over the course of her survivor "career". Is she? Not even by a long shot. Survivor is not about winning challenges but actually playing a strategic game. Chrissy didnt do that. Ben did
