Pretty much. Its "fake" as in its scripted, the tables are meant to break, the stairs arnt solid metal and they usually arnt actually punching each other in the face on repeat. Its still extremely physical

Explains why Kennedy got canned…he was his form that led Orton to think he did it aop to try and get his spot because if Orton was out for any amount of time that does move Kennedy into a more open space so it’s reasonable to have that point of view…he definitely addressed that particular issue without names. Very classy
Nah, Kennedy was already getting pushed. I would say it's an honest mistake and Orton used his position in the company to get rid of a guy that threatened his spot.

I trained with Dr Tom Prichard in Knoxville and he was always telling me “it doesn’t matter how hard you hit them, it matters where you hit them” I can’t imagine being in the ring with the intention of hurting someone for real, resolve that stuff backstage safely.
I live about thirty miles from Knoxville and I've tried many times to get my son to go to his school. From what I've heard Dr. Tom is the best current in ring trainer, if not the best ever.
I’m a trained fighter and Tom is spot on. If you watch MMA at all, Conor McGregor’s knockouts are almost all from precision striking to temples and jaws.

Every time someone in the modern era brings up a wrestler that hits hard, they mention Shamus. The Big Fella likes to lay them in. Most of the guys are ok with it, because he wants it right back.
One reason Sheamus is honestly my favorite. He made it actually look so much more real. Plus I just loved watching him kick people's heads off lol

Yeah this was actually a thing, another one guys would do is when they were going for an arm bar or rest hold they’d actually legit yank your arm and slam it so hard it would feel like it was about to come out of its socket but say “sorry kid, it was an accident just trying to make it look legit!” Then start to stretch you through the match, and see what you’ll do if you’ll sit there and take it or not and make themselves look good in the process. But for the most part that died out, shamus can be stiff and hard hitting in the ring but he does it in a way and with certain spots that he has to be and makes the spots look good. He doesn’t go out of his way to intentionally be stiff and hard hitting and works lighter in other areas to make up for the spots that are hard hitting because he knows his style very well he’s just a damn good worker, stiff yes but very safe.
And stiff is fine if you understand what you are doing. He hits hard but hes not trying to hurt you.
@@masterreaper115 exactly another one that works stiff is Brock but that’s to be expected dude is jacked and tosses you around like a rag doll, not trying to hurt you and will sell perfectly for you when he needs to but still very stiff which is why he works a more simple style. He’s not as young as he once was which is why his style changed in recent years, but still incredibly athletic and quick and light on his feet but it’s also why you see him mostly do suplex after suplex spears and work a more grounded brawl heavy style as well as use things like a kamura etc. it’s effective because it’s Brock and he always has and always will put on a fantastic match and work very safe but still very stiff in the ring as he should be but very safe and never wants to intentionally hurt or injure someone or himself because he wants everyone to get paid. That simple.
