If MFJJ and the Ranch Fairy sat down and spoke about arrow set ups/archery, the internet archery world may explode…..

About damn time you guys started communicating and collaborating. As a new bow hunter I've really valued hearing the different arrow philosophies, particularly yours and the RF's. Can't wait to see what comes of this!

Excited about what might come from an Elk shape/Ranch fairy collab. Regardless of which side of the debate about FOC/EFOC you fall on, there would be plenty to learn from a well educated and accomplished group like that! Plz explore this opportunity. Do it for the culture, lolz.

Glad to see you trying it, after the video where you and Aaron talk about Troy without him and misrepresent what he says, glad you all can still collaborate.

You're gonna really love the Heavy Arrows. I went middle of the road and stuck to a 560 grain arrow including a 200grain Broadhead. So pleased with the results. No more liver shots cause I'm not scared to hit a shoulder anymore. Did hit a shoulder on a deer last year and broke the main knuckle on one side through the scapula on the other and still stuck in the ground 6 inches. Only down side is when you do it back there's only so much cutting going on. But they all have their positives and negatives. Think you guys will find middle of the road the best place to be also.

Warning- Apologies up front for the "Novel" I couldn't help but write below!! Stoked y'all are back with content! You guys do great work and I love living vicariously through your productions! I'm sure y'all have been super busy out shooting video of your hunts cuz it's Fall again! Can't wait to see some animals hit the dirt! I've been spending as much time outside as possible! Unfortunately I will be eating elk tag soup this year. 👎 But I had a fantastic hunt, found Elk every day and was in Elk at least %90 of days- I experimented hunting a new Zone this year that was much more open than I'm used to. That made calling ridiculously tough. I hunted 12 different places in 3 different units from sage flats to Mt. Goat country and found the Elk every time, so that was a huge success in a brand new place for me. My map work skills did really well and put me in Elk almost daily and allowed me to see Elk every day in every new spot! Crazy! Just couldn't get a shot at the 7 bulls I got within range due to brush or other impediments! I'd much rather see the rear view of giant bulls headed away than an arrow sticking out of them in a nonlethal place or lose a "mis-hit" one. Sometimes when solo archery hunting that last little piece doesn't fall in place! I followed the 365 approach and was in the best shape I've been in for 15yrs allowing me to legit chase every bugle I wanted to from Hell holes to 10000' summits gaining or losing as much as 3000' in some cases. I would have had to pass on those if I had not followed y'alls advice, so thank you! My 2 best encounters were- opening morning- I packed in the night before the opener and bivy camped right on the edge of a great saddle where 4 canyons intersected. I literally awoke an hour before 1st light to what I thought was cow calls 200yds below me. Seconds after the "cow calls" I heard antlers crashing together. I got my butt up n ready fast and was going to try to reposition in the still dark of morning. I took one step from behind the tiny pine I slept under and saw the silhouette of an Elk's back just over the ridge at 150yds, so I was pinned. I stayed pinned as the daylight slowly came over me. I could now tell there was 2 bulls sparring and still thought cows must be present below the bulls out of sight. I waited for the bulls to drop over the hill so I could reposition. I got to a place about 20yds short of a row of pines, behind which the two bulls were still fighting or sparring. I thought they'd be distracted and the noise would cover my sound as I gained the last 20 to the trees for cover. I made it 5 yds short of the small tree line and the Elk stopped sparring. Weird I thought cuz I had good wind! One obscured elk walked 20 yrs behind the trees to the left and froze. I couldn't see the others. Then they all blew out. Turns out there was a third bull with the two (smaller 5pts) and this Big 320+ 6 was hanging just behind the trees where I couldn't see him an he busted me!! Ughh! But what a way to start opening day, especially in a place I only e-scouted! About a week later I found two bulls way up (1500') an avalanche chute. There was NO way to get to them. They were in an absolutely perfectly protected place. So I thought maybe I could catch them at daybreak starting up the trail entering the chute. Nope, they passed thru that spot an hour before first light. So I camped on the bulls ALL day, like 14 hours. The biggest bull (a 330+ Giant 6x7- wide long beamed monster) stood up and walked out to rake a tree for 10mins, way up the chute. He slowly descended and I got positioned where I thought he may come by. I waited n waited what seemed like forever and my "view" was blocked by reprod size pines that went up the 100yd wide finger ridge I was on. I had to guess whether the bruiser was gunna come left or right? I guessed left to the meadow side. Anyway, I kept waiting and got fidgety and since I couldn't see thought maybe this bull is trying to "high side me" n sneak around the right side of the finger. I got impatient and moved 20yds to my right into the trees. Just as I stopped at that additional 20yds right, the bull came out in the original spot I was at. I tried to sneak back to the og spot but the gravel underfoot was loud n got me busted! Away the giant went refusing to stop to my calls and he disappeared into the timber forever! I did get another rut crazed bull to 60yrs about Sept 16th but one of his twenty or so cows covered him up blocking any shot and the lead cow sensed something not right and led them all away. I pushed but was never able to get any closer than 100yds. Lastly, I called in a big satellite six right at dark on the 20th. I was on one finger ridge, he on the top of the other. It was totally open sage between us. Bad bad place to set up but for Many reasons this was all I could do! The bull hung up. At dark I stopped calling and raking from behind the tree screen I had and wanted to wait for this bull to lose interest and leave so I could walk down the open face and back to my rig 3 or 4 miles back in the bottom. I waited as the bull started barking at me. He was demanding I show myself. I sat down on the hillside and ate some snacks waiting for him to leave. I didn't want to bugger him cuz I thought I could hunt him the next day if I didn't show myself or get winded. Anyway, this bull would not leave. After an hour of him barking at me I decided to just lay down on the hillside and stay the night. I only had my clothes and a super thin plastic tarp but decided to just sleep there. The bull kept at it barking for hours n hours. I got cold at about 230am so started a little fire which I thought sure would bugger the bull. Nope! He still stayed on his hilltop barking away! On my families life, NO exaggeration, that bull barked at me from Sunset to Sunrise (a full 9 hours) barking no less than every 5 mins!! Sounds impossible but I swear to you this happened. At first light just before I could see the bull, he moved about 30yds from where he'd been all night. I didn't see this and from his new angle he could see me roll up my tarp. He drifted away up the hill into the timber and out of my life. Apologies for the novel!! I do want to say one last piece... As a fellow born and raised Spokanite, it inspires me to have guys from my same town producing such high quality content from areas I'm familiar with and fellas my same age I feel like I can relate to. I'm sure you get random people asking to hook up with you all the time and it probably gets annoying. However if you guys find yourself in need last minute of a like minded lifelong outdoorsman who can lend you a hand, or set of eyes, or run a camera, etc. Please feel free to hit me up. I've been drawn to Elk Shape and stayed around because of y'alls no BS approach and positivity! I'm a glass half full guy who works hard at everything I do and seem to align with your direction and message. Thank you for staying positive at ALL times in the face of SOO much negativity in society, trolls on social media and %99 negative nonsense and jealousy on RUclips and the internet. Just know that there are people out there like me who are inspired by You guys and your no fluff no frills message and I can't tell you how important it has been to me to experience your positivity and never give up attitude. You guys make our town, our country, and frankly the world a better place every day with the optimism you share with everyone. Thank you and with more gratitude than I could ever write!! Fellow Spokanite- Greg Gaston

Excited to see how it goes for yall! I personally thought after yalls sit down with Snyder that the Ranch Fairy stuff wouldn’t make it on the channel. Happy to see you guys tinkering with his stuff. I have beefed up my arrows and FOC and absolutely love the results. Keep tinkering!
