after his leg injury he scored 172 points and only 46 points off lorenzo in that period (218) he was still really good and i truly believe if he stayed with yamaha he wins another title in 2011 or 2012...

Back in the days when and there were less than 20 bikes in the MotoGP grid until those crappy CRT bikes kicked in, as well as Dovi being the definition of an underrated rider who regularly stole podiums from the Fantastic Four.
If Rossi doesn't go to Ducati in 2011, there might be a fight with Stoner.

Tbh I noticed that while everyone seems to talk about the Fantastic Four (and Dovi) when it comes to the late 2000s and early 2010s, nobody seems to notice that there's actually something worth to mention about Super Sic, Bautista and Aoyama in the MotoGP grid back in that era.
Well, why did I say so? Let's see...
- All three of them were among the main title contenders for the 250cc class back in 2008 and 2009.
- Sic became the 250cc World Champion in 2008 with Aoyama getting crowned as such in the following year.
- All three of them were graduated to the premier class in 2010 and joined Japanese manufacturers as their maiden premier class season (Sic and Aoyama: Honda, Bautista: Suzuki).
- Aoyama would become Sic's teammate in 2011.
- Bautista was the one who battled against Sic for 4th moments before the latter's death in Sepang 2011.
- Related to the above, Bautista was the first person to witness the horrible incident happened on Sic, additionally, the (only) onboard camera regarding the incident we saw on TV was Bautista's.
- Bautista would later join Gresini Honda for the 2012 season replacing Sic, with Aoyama moving on to WSBK.
Saddens me, when I heared the late Great Nicky Hayden speak, such a lovely mumble fantastic guy.

so great to see these older moto gp races vr46 was my favorite i learned to really really despise narquez and lorenzo but stoner and pedrosa along with hayden and capirossi and barros were easy to root for it seemed different than todays moto gp the announcers were much better in this golden era vale brought much attention to moto gp and i do believe he stayed too long at the end of his career he rarely reached the podium but i always wanted him to be their among the fastest maybe yamaha couldn't compete with the new ducati bikes yamaha was desperate for some success before vale left a superior honda and took yamaha to the top for many years

looking back at this i'm annoyed rossi went to ducati... he was still so good in 2010 after his injury and he could have easily won another title in 2011 or 2012 with yamaha if he stayed

I always come to know that rossi only motogp rider who have true global fame ..even the way he enjoy and care his fans at the race track shows he knows how to maintain fans and give the fans what they want.. I never see the crowd cheering louder for any other riders.. Everywhere he race rossi do have the best fans even on the track to cheer him up
Whait,,,put this in perspective ; when j99 ,dovi ,dany ,stoner, are yust start ride in 125cc ,rossi is have 3or4 crown alredy in king class ,,and 10 years after ,then 15 years after ,17 years after ,he was championship contender almost every year ,,,compare sete gibernau whit rossi ,3 years batlle whit him ,lost every year and after he was nowehere 15 ,19 ,crash ,and retire,,but this man ,vr46 was there hole time ,on age 20 ,on age 40,and alweys treath to win race ,,look j99 now ,,win 3 crown ,imo ,one was tolen ,2015 ,and he is retire before rossi ,,,,what a legend ,goat vr 46 legacy live forewer
