teh and oh-aew's story is so moving and heartbreaking to watch. the depth and aesthetics of this drama are on a whole other level, it deserves all the recognition in the world. best thai drama of 2020. period.

You have no idea about how fascinated I was by this drama like for real, I mean look at me I made my first fmv ever for them, because they managed to touch my heart in away no other BL did, and as you said it's not just the story line, but i can see how much effort they put in the acting/directing and the production, it was really amazing.

What i got from the bra part is this; after that heavy makeout, you could see how much Teh caressed his upper chest area, but when Oh turned to kiss, Teh backed out. So to me it was that deep sadness, would it have been better if I had boobs, if I wasn't male? Would we have this difficulty transitioning our relationship. Because remember he liked bass, acknowledged Bass liked him, so he did know he was gay.
How can they act so well and that desire for each other in their eyes...man they are both another level actors at such young age ..

I honestly have high hopes for the future of these actors. They are so good at such a young age. They can beautifully express such complicated emotions. Love and admire them so much. Even the side characters were amazing. And how the story was written and directed, just wow.

The main leads are perfection, but the mvp for me was the scene where Teh tells Turn he just wants to be friends. The emotion she managed to convey with just her eyes broke me. She gets her freaking heart broken and decides there and then she has to be strong and bare it because even tho she loves him she doesn’t want to lose him as a friend. And i know all this from just. her. eyes. Brilliant actress, brilliantly played. Chefs kiss

The series is not a BL, imo, because it has no connection to the fantasy and the tropes of the BL genre; rather it is a poignant coming of age story, recognisable to everyone both east & west. There are so many good things about ITSAY, but I love especially film composer Vichaya Vatanasapt’s wonderful musical soundtrack.

I think the reason I have so much love for this series is the fact it showcases teenagers in love perfectly. it's a bit awkward, hard to understand, but you can't seem to stop yourself from wanting to be with that person.
the tension, not only sexual, but in general was showcases beautifully. the inner wars both males faced while trying to understand themselves was just so interesting to watch.
The amount of sexual tension you showed here makes this edit even more beautiful n the song just adds a little spice to it.

I think this just might be the most realistic bl I've ever watched. this is how it actually is yk. this is how being in love, for the first time, that too with someone your same gender feels like. this is what my first love feels like. it's filled with confusion and an overwhelming amount of love and so much tension. you don't know what in the world you're doing. you're not even sure of your sexuality. all you know is you're in love with this person- and you shouldn't be bc that's what society teaches. this is exactly what it feels like and I can't believe that a series- that too a Thai bl, that, just like any other media that glorifies love and portrays a superficial, fictional love could also portray something so real. I haven't even finished it bc well, it's literally my life, so it's kinda hard but I just know, I just know this is going to be so damn real.

This is one BL i will never delete from my laptop. Their chemistry is insane, their facial expression is off the chart and the script writer is one hell of a good writer. They should pair them up again for another series they are so freaking good.
DISCLAIMER: Spoilers Ahead.
I really loved how they worked on Oh Aew's character. He wasn't shown as some jealous person who always seeks for attention and doesn't have anything else to think about than his boyfriend. He took a stand for himself when things went downhill, he worked on himself, found his passion, worked on his dreams, and started loving himself. And that scene where he's shown wearing a bra and is having a literal identity crisis? Like he didn't know who he was anymore? From that to saying that he loves himself, after ending a relationship that was somewhat toxic and stressful for him, he's grown so much!
And of course Teh, who had big dreams, the shine in his dreamy eyes made me question my own self, what am I doing with my life? And I loved how they showed that relationships are not always perfect (like how they portray in movies), PEOPLE F*** UP!! And it ruins everything. That it's hard to hold on, and sometimes you lose the ones you love.
And the emotions, and aesthetic of this series! Don't even get me started. The cinematography. Some long quiet beautiful scenes without anyone saying anything. The countryside and beaches. The cat tuti. And the sunset. And P'Jai(yes). Everything. Aaarghh I can't explain how much I loved this one. Kudos to the creators!!!

ITSAY is one of the best of not THE BEST BL series ever made. It’s just sheer perfection from the script to the production and directing - and the casting is beyond phenomenal. Billkin and PPKrit poured their hearts and souls into their roles as Teh and Oh. No one else could’ve played these characters. You feel every single emotion with them along the way. ITSAY completely stole my heart. And season 2 IPYTM was just as fantastic. I will rewatch these over and over again. 💜💜💜💜❤️❤️❤️❤️

Stumbled upon this one by mistake. Watched it in one sitting and it's THE BEST. The intimacy, the tension urrrgh mindblowing! It gave you everything you never knew you needed. Simplistic yet still a great masterpiece.

I cried so much but so much especially the last episode of I promised u the moon when u realize how much they love each other. I’m in tears right now it’s too much for me. ITSAY should be the standard for all Thai BLs. Still, no other Thai BL has come close to the level of ITSAY. These days almost all BLs are only made for the hype and money with recycled plots and below-average cringe-acting. No quality, no direction just disappointment.
ITSAY was a piece of art, with exceptional acting, a great story, an amazing OST, and stunning cinematography. It was crazy torture waiting every week for an episode.
Nadao was a brilliant company that consistently produced high-quality content. One of the few production houses that put quality over quantity! I am still bummed that they shut down. ITSAY and Dew the movie will always be my favorite Thai BLs.

Omg i don't know much bout thai production companies other than gmm, and as you said most thai dramas are cinge worthy with repetitive storyline, that I can't really withstand watching.

ITSAY is a beautiful series. The story is deep and beautifully portrayed. The cinematography and score is beautiful. I keep saying “beautiful “ but no better way to describe. The actors did an exceptional job. A must see.

@@yemagh9480 I don’t see this as a BL, per se. It is far superior to anything I’ve seen BL or otherwise. It’s been said often, but it is really a masterpiece. The script, the acting by Billkin and PP, the cinematography, the music, the emotions, the sounds of the ocean…everything made for a breathtaking work of pure art. I’d happily purchase the drama if I could find it. It’s one worthy of being in someone’s collection.
