    Can't beat a big bike, but in the Philippines almost pointless with how busy roads are, pot holes and all the other dangers awaiting you here! Better off with what locals use far more practical and when you bin it, that's inevitable here it won't break the bank.

    In 55+ years of riding bikes, I have owned ONE, and ONLY one, Harley. It was in the late 1970s under AMF ownership....you know, that bowling ball company that wanted to try their hand at owning a motorcycle icon....and almost ran HD completely out of business. After a couple horrible years of owning that thing, I sold it. It kept breaking down out in the middle of nowhere, long before cellphones, and I vowed I would never buy another HD. I have been buying Honda's and Kawasaki's ever since then. They have NEVER left me broken down on the side of the road, EVER, and they cost a LOT less to insure, less for parts, less likely to be stolen, etc. Most of my friends ride Harleys, and they still have issues and cost a fortune to maintain. One my riding buddies bought a CVO Road Glide something or other, and spent almost 50 THOUSAND dollars just to buy it off the floor. But it lacked power, etc, and he ended up getting stages 1, 2, 3, and 4. That cost him almost 20 grand on top of the cost of the bike. We're talking 70 THOUSAND dollars to own a mediocre bike with a fancy name. Come on, we are talking about nothing more that two wheels, motor, and a frame, not a dang Lamborghini!!! I hold the view that my butt cannot read, so what do I care, as long as I'm having fun riding 1000 miles in a day type of rides, and not breaking down, what the sticker on the side of the tank reads? I think that HD has just gotten too big for their britches and are starting to lose diehard customers. I better stop my rant or I will only make Harley fan boys upset. Ride what you WANT to ride, not what your ego, or peer pressure, tells you to ride. Hahahaha Good video, always thumbs up.

    I apologize just googled it , Harleys are making a comeback they are now the 5th most reliable motorcycle made , in the last few years they have moved way up the list . What city, province? I’ll be in Mindanao in April and would like to check them out. No Street Glides on display? Road Glide has the “shark nose fairing attached to the frame so the headlights don’t track the turns well. Street Glide batwing fairing is attached to the forks and the lights project into the turns with the forks. Anyways, thanks for the great video. Please keep them coming.

    Fascinating video. Any chance you could hold your nose and do the same price review at the Triumph dealer next door?

      I looked into shipping my Wide glide to Phils from Australia, 100% import duty on "their" valuation, no way 🤣

    What concerns me is the ones that are first time riders and they get a sport bike. Very uncomfortable to ride, on long hauls, and they have no concept on the amount of power those bikes have.

    I bought my first Harley at Clark in 1989 through AAFES. Jim Snow was the sales rep for military sales.That Sportster is 120hp. It's detuned from the factory as the same motor makes 150 hp in the adventure bike. Back in the day poor people rode the 883 Sportster. I know.

    Same as Tim K's new Land Cruiser, a Harley in the PH screams, "Look at me, I'm a rich foreigner!"
    Not a good idea there. Plus, totally useless.

    I dont know what interest rates you can get from Philippine banks? If you finance a $30,000 Harley at 36 months, your payment will be upwards of $1000 usd per month

    I am curious if all imports are taxed as high as the HD bikes? I use to own a Yamaha Seca 750 That was a very nice bike and very affordable. Have you looked at the other big named brands that we are use to seeing in the USA? Just curious. Who made your motorbike and I never heard of a automatic gearbox on a bike before so that is new to me. I am also a big guy so I don’t want to look like a elephant riding a peanut so to speak. 😆

    Brian, what's up brother?
    I'd be there somewhere in the Philippines BUT I'm not giving up my Harleys or my Chrysler 300 Hemi just to move there.
    And that guy that says, Sportsters are girls bikes - piss off punk. There's more women on big Harleys than Sportsters these days. The way he calculates it, all Harleys are girls bikes then. NUMBNUT
    Brian, here near Pottsville I have a stable of Harleys;
    A 2012 Sportster '72' model.
    A 2007 Ultra Classic.
    A 1996 Dyna Low Rider Convertible all F*ckin original !
    And the roads aren't pretty in Pennsylvania but nothing in life is always perfect. Gonna be a downside to anything.
