"Sumpah" in english is "I swear" or "Oath" some kind likes that.
This song is about how she really regret of what she doing to her lovers by left him. Untill karma hit her, and the pain that her lovers had to faces comes back to her. She really regret untill to the level she hit depression. (Ha, gitcheww...ala2 layan jiwa)

Oww Interesting. In Filipino, "Sumpa" can be referred to "Swear" or "Oath" as well but more generally used as translation for the word "Curse." Lot of similarities! :)

SFMM34 is the semi-final of the competition whereas AJL34 is the final platform.
It is actually more of a song competition, honouring local composers/songwriters and lyricists.
In AJL34, Aina Abdul's Sumpah and Ernie Zakri's Ku Bersuara were favourites to win, especially for the Best Vocal Award, however most viewers believed both of them were robbed that night.
Anyway, both Aina and Ernie are in their own league, vocal divas of Malaysia, which is totally undeniable.
Sfmm is semi final music music... This song its about women who don't really take seriously with man who love her so much.. She take for granted... But after a while when the man already lost interest n totally enough with his love for her... That only she know that the man who she take for granted is the one that she treasure most... That's why she got the lyric "pedih kau rasa dulu kini dekat ku"

Here's my english translation of Sumpah if anybody wants, to be shared among frens who want to know the meaning of the song. I think any translation of the original lyrics will never be able to do full justice to the malay lyrics which are beautiful just as they are in their simplicity and precision in capturing the meaning, the mood and the atmosphere. Aina's heart-rending and gut-wrenching rendition befits the lyrics so beautifully as well.

@Zul Hasreen Kalau dia mezzo, dia tak akan dapat belting above G5 using chesty mix dgn mudah because that's beyond mezzo's range apatah lagi English song yg dia pernah cover sblm ni sbb most of the songs involve upper belt. Also, if she's truly a mezzo, her F3 notes that she sang in song should sound fuller, darker and rounded which Aina's doesn't possess these qualities at all but I can say supporting F3 is already good for soprano. You should compare her low notes with a true mezzo such as Lady Gaga or Beyonce. Kalau kat Malaysia, Noryn Aziz, Dayang or Misha

SFMM is semi-final for AJL. This song compete along Ku Bersuara by Ernie Zakri. FYI this is her own original song. She compose the song and made the lyrics. We all thought she win that night. Unfortunately she didnt made it. But her performance was incredible.

This song is written and composed by Aina Abdul herself. And she also write and composed English songs. You have to listen to SHADOW by Aina Abdul because the song is damn good i swear. It has the 50 shades kinda vibes and I guarantee you will not regret checking the song out !
My first time hearing to Shadow, I was like ‘who’s this English singer?’ I don’t expect a Malaysian can write and compose such a beautiful song.

Seeing blood all over her body is not appoperiate in national TV on prime time and tv3 said they were not inform earlier by aina team if they're now earlier they will not approve that.. Well there were some guide lines to follow.. Some maybe not sensitive to public but some really do..

I thought you would’ve picked an AJL34 version instead of this one.. SFMM34 was actually the semi-final for AJL34... i think Aina did amazing in AJL34.. you should check out that video of her. That’s the same show as Ernie’s Ku Bersuara AJL version. Oh, You might find her video re-uploaded by someone else. Her video somehow was being banned due to “too-much blood for public viewing “ 🙄 .. have a listen to her AJL version.. it was sooo much better than this one. Its not a blood, but it show how her heart was hurt & broken.. regret after kill her husband.. it is a mental health issue that Aina (eye-na) try to stand-up in the community. I watch her final performance in AJL 34 and i was like boom.. Her vocal herself is amazing. She got very deep, strong n powerful voice. But that night she was placed on third place im term of vocal, second is erni zakri and the champion is hafiz suip.
