- This year, the Chazzanut world will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the passing of the king of cantors, Cantor Yossele Rosenblatt.
Yochi Briskman presents Cantor Nissim Saal, with a moving tribute to the cantor who influenced him the most - Yossele Rosenblatt of course!
Exactly 100 years ago Yossele recorded one of the flagship pieces of the Chazzanut world - "Tal". On Erev Pesach 5783, Nissim presents to us, his own special rendition of this wonderful piece.
Yossele was the first to record a piece on the words of "Tal" - a piece that has everything:
Opening melody, in the Jewish Freygish scale - captivating, exquisite Nusach, emotion and supplication, and chorus in the festive major scale, at the end of the piece. And of course, the most famous coloratura in the cantorial repertoire: a coloratura on one word - "Tal", which every cantor must know, and every Chazzanut connoisseur is impatiently waiting for.
"Tal" was recorded by Nissim, accompanied by the “SFY” symphony orchestra and choir under the direction of the late Dr. Mordechai Sobol. The arrangement was written by Dr. Mordechai Sobol and Ofir Sobol, who also produced the music.
The music video was filmed in the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam. The synagogue was built about 350 years ago, and is still considered one of the largest and most impressive buildings in Amsterdam. The special and impressive structure, covered with stone and a reddish-brown shade, was a model to be imitated, and other synagogues in the Spanish diaspora of Western Europe were built according to its style. The synagogue is considered an important heritage site for Dutch Jews and European Jews in general.

השנה מציין עולם החזנות 90 שנה לפטירתו של מלך החזנים החזן יוסל'ה רוזנבלט. הכוכב החדש - החזן נסים סאאל, שהגיח אלינו רק לפני כשנה וקצת, וכיום אין חובב חזנות שלא מתפעל מיכולותיו הנדירות, מגיש לנו
מחווה מרגשת, לחזן שהשפיע עליו יותר מכל - יוסל'ה רוזנבלט כמובן
לפני בדיוק 100 שנה הקליט יוסל'ה את אחת מיצירות הדגל של עולם החזנות - "טל". בערב חג הפסח תשפ"ג נסים בחר להגיש לנו, גרסה מיוחדת משלו, ליצירה הנפלאה הזו - שכל חובב חזנות נהנה להתרפק עליה
יוסל'ה היה הראשון שהקליט יצירה על המילים של "טל" - יצירה שיש בה הכול
מנגינת פתיחה, בסולם הפריגי היהודי - שובה הלב, נוסח משובח. רגש ותחינה. פזמון בסולם המאג'ורי החגיגי, בסיומה של היצירה. וכמובן, הקולרטורה המפורסמת ביותר ברפרטואר החזני: קולרטורה על מילה אחת -"טל", שכל חזן חייב לדעת, וכל חובב חזנות מחכה לה בקוצר רוח
את "טל" הקליט נסים, בליווי התזמורת הסימפונית ומקהלת החזנים SFY בניצוחו של ד"ר מרדכי סובול ז"ל. את העיבוד כתבו ד"ר מרדכי סובול ואופיר סובול שגם הפיק מוזיקלית
הקליפ צולם בבית הכנסת הפורטוגזי באמסטרדם. בית הכנסת שנבנה לפני כ 350 שנה, ונחשב עד היום לאחד הבניינים הגדולים והמרשימים ביותר באמסטרדם. המבנה המיוחד והמרשים, בחיפוי אבן ובגוון חום אדמדם, היווה מודל לחיקוי, ובתי כנסת אחרים, בפזורה הספרדית של מערב אירופה נבנו לפי מתכונתו. בית הכנסת נחשב לאתר מורשת חשוב ליהודי הולנד וליהודי אירופה בכלל
