my 2 greatest faves that year, if it wasn't going to be Sergey, then Amir should've won and I would've been happy. One of them should've definitely won and not the one who won

Funny how Sergey has been the only Russian entrant post 2014 that hasn’t been booed.
Guess he’s just that much loved.

      Sorry for being late.
Apparently. From 2014 when the Crimea situation started and in 2015, they booed the contestants. 2015 had an anti-booing system, so it wasn't heard live, but many people that went claimed that it happened.
Then came 2016, and Sergey was pretty loved.
      Then 2017, no participation
2018, I was there live for all live shows. No booing, but not much interesting, until the voting process when people KNEW who Russia was going to vote for (Filipp Kirokov wrote the Moldovan song)
2019, pretty well received, probably because it was Sergey again, and the votes presenter was a pianist.

@@Erik_Emer Our ordinary Russians cannot influence politics and political decision-making.
It is a pity that this affects those who represent our country abroad.
      Singers, athletes.
But we are going to show that we are also just people and talented.)
It seems that Sergei managed to establish relations between the countries and soften his attitude towards Russia a little, I hope? :)
He is so simple, sociable, charismatic in life.
He is very hardworking and kind :)
And by the way, after him, we learned a lot about the backstage of Eurovision.
How many interviews, meetings, rehearsals, communication between people.
He told us everything and showed.
And I think many people liked his openness.
      Hope this again :)
      Thanks for the answer anyway.
We don’t know yet who will go from Russia in 2020.
      Not Sergey for sure.
He will continue his Ntour in Russia and may again go to Europe a little more with his beautiful show tour :)

Yeah, but people in Scandivania (including Iceland and the Faroe Islands) generally very good English up to the point when 13-year-old don't need closed captioning.
