      It's very easy to pick up the Australian accent but it's a whole hell of a lot harder getting rid of it when you get back to the States. It took Mel almost 6 years to get rid of it.

    That is such a Shane Black thing to do - to write a final joke for film fans into the script! Reminds me of the way Last Boy Scout ends.

    • @jameshoran8
      @jameshoran8 Год назад

      Shane wanted Lethal Weapon to stop at the end of two with Rigg's death on the ship. Shane played Hawkins in Predator but was mostly there to help rewrite the script if needed.

      Apparently his original, incredibly dark script for Lethal Weapon 2 ( _Play Dirty_ ) was the proudest thing he ever wrote. However, they decided to go in a more comedy-infused direction and so much of the bleakness and tragedy was sanded down with Jo Pesci's role significantly increased.

    • @Bringos76

      Shane's title for Last Boy Scout was originally Die Hard. The producer took the title and used it for Die Hard.
