Nice looking pens. Just ordered a tactile titanium “short” with the timascus bolt. Really wanna get a Tibolt G2 version eventually as well. I used to have a full size Tibolt a couple years ago and always felt it was a tad too big for pocket edc.
That was a great review. I am in the market for a bolt action but at a much lower budget price. I need to see if I like the bolt action and will actually carry and use it. At 250 it would never leave the desk as I tend to lose to many pens. Enjoyed seeing it though. Thanks for sharing it.
The Refyne EP1 is a great budget-friendly bolt action pen at around $50. It comes with a Schmidt easy flow 9000 refill so any parker style refill will work just fine. I personally have a fisher space pen refill in mine and love it! I have a tactile turn long in copper and love it too! It's more of an "office pen" for me (pre pandemic). Also, at the time I'm writing this, Tactile Turn should be having a Cyber Monday Sale on their site. Happy writing!
I bought the 5.6" titanium Tactile Turn bolt action. I gave it to my sister because I hated the way the milling felt and sounded as my fingers rubbed the surface. It was like nails on a chalkboard to me. I also bought Refyne EP1 which I like a lot better: better feel, better fidget.
Hey man different strokes for different folks and all that. I will also say they have made some crazy leaps over the years and there is a night and day difference from when this video was released to what is readily available now.
Came here from an ad I got on Instagram to get opinions. I love working in the shop and I love bringing little pieces of work home. This pen amazes me. Zirconium?! Jebus thats insane to work with. I've yet to see long term damage on anything but Steel and its alloys, manganese, and zinc. I have no idea what would happen if I got the titanium pen and it was covered in my sweat, machining coolants, and buffing compounds daily. I'm afraid to buy it and then it starts corroding. Long post just to ask this: would this be a good shop pen or just bust it out to sign contracts? Thanks for the honest review and I look forward to your knife reviews in the future.
Corey B I definitely don’t mind long comments and I will also do my best to respond. So I work as a mover, as a construction worker and just a general independent contractor and I have put this piece through hell and so far everything functions perfectly and there is minimal if any damage. The machining on the pen hides scratches really well and it’s just overall a fantastic pen and is probably my most carried since I picked it up.
Very nice! If one day, you want to part with one of your Tactile Turn pens, let me know. Being in France, they are kinda hard to get for me. What's your opinion about the Boker bolt action pen by the way?
Nice review. Did you have any issue with the bolt piece getting loose and/or falling out as you used it more and more? Mine seems to get loose easily if I'm fidgeting with it even a little.
@Emerald1irish Are you still using this pen? I'm thinking about going with zirconium over the titanium in short. Also, is the bolt action the same on both There are Reddit reviews saying that it's smoother on the titanium version..
So for me it's very smooth but as far as comparison sake, I'm honestly not sure because I don't have any newer integrations to compare it with. It's a great pen though and I do still have and use it.
@godse7en Notice how I didn't mention dollar general? Maybe pay better attention next time bud, now go take a deep breath and maybe jack off or something cause clearly you need to release some stress.

Yeah it’s definitely a big pen but it works well with my 2xl hands and all the giant shit I carry on a daily basis.
Beautiful

Thanks my dude
Beautiful pen bro, absolutely beautiful. 👊🏻😷👍🏻

@@RedwolfEDC Fantastic. Off to watch some Timascus forging and machining. Appreciate the help and reply!
@@RedwolfEDC Comparing between Ti and Zirc you have , which is more scratch resistant?
Beautiful pen as nice share....Too much for my wallet but so cool as good job that you own one....Good stuff....
I LOVE THIS PEN!!!!! I WISH I BOUGHT THIS!!!!!😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪
Can you share what was “off” in your opinion before I sink the cash? Thx

I wasn’t a huge fan of the boker bolt action, it’s a cheap pen and it feels like it.
@@RedwolfEDC OK, thanks, I won't buy it then.
Happy to help.

So far I haven’t had any issues but I will do a update video at the 6 month mark.
Have you tried locktiting it?
👍
Hello. How good is the grip (i am concerned it will be too slippery for someone with sweaty hands)? What could you compare it to?
Honestly the texture these pens have is in a league all thier own. So yes I think the grip is fantastic and I think you should give them a shot
@@RedwolfEDC thank you
I thought the standard size was long....till I got it lol. Love the pen tho
was it longer or shorter than you expected? how does it measure up to a standard bic? thinking about getting one and size is a big factor for me
Its fatter then a bic, but I still have this pen and continue to love it.

Dollar store never sold uni-ball.
Maybe not your dollar store, I have bought tons of these pens from the dollar store, 99 cent store and dollar tree
@@RedwolfEDC Dollar General has never sold Uni-Ball I know that for a FACT.

The bolt will always become loose! Very disappointing
