Just watched your latest video on One Path super awesome such beautiful souls amazing what yous have done turned barren land into lush green forests and farms hats of to yous Salam my Freind
Thank you Geoff and Daniel for sharing this with us. I'm working on a pond system and this has helped me figure out some details on a bit smaller scale for wildlife. I so appreciate this. We have a lot of geoengineering of weather here and chemicals sprayed in the air so I'm searching solutions to protect the ponds, wildlife and plant life. Always open to solutions. Again thank you so much to both of you
Nice to meet your son and hear you two walking through the wildlife pond design. I’d be interested to see a diagram of the angles and levels and water flow related to which critters go where.
You must come visit me in Namibia, Africa, one day if you every get a holiday in the area... Your inputs and advice in my 3year-ish food forest would be amazing...
That skimmer is wayyy undersized. I really like that you’re imitating an Aquascape ecosystem Dan, but if you’re going to go for it, I wouldn’t cut corners. There’s a reason they do things they way they do… but I agree they are expensive. Still cheaper to get good components off the bat than replacing the skimmer or the components that fail after 2-5 years. Then you’ll blame the pond…
High, Mr. Jeff Lawton Sir, I am a big fan of yours. Can you please give some suggestions or make some video content on how to keep a pool/pond crystal clear/ clean naturally without any pump or filter or artificial interference?
i was just considering the idea of utilizing a zig zag pattern of drainage to direct water through a tesla valve pattern of berms and swales. which would serve as a mechanically natural feature to catch and store water on the banks. loLol
Since I am an Englishman they both sound Australian to me, though his son more than Geoff himself :) Geoff was born and raised in England as I understand, before moving to Oz as a young man, which explains his accent.
From my experience, your better off just concreting these . When they get a leak ,and they all do , it's not much fun. Especially when the leaks in the bottom. The concrete cost isn't much different to the rocks and liner. I just artificial rock the sides and gravel the bottom. Last forever, look more natural.
Expensive disaster if it is to be used by animals. High maintenance and limited lifespan. Free could ever afford such a system and many would neve get the exact materials.
2 generations of Lawton's to keep everything going for MANY yrs to come yet ! 🤗 Loved the video.
We missed you, Geoff! Welcome Back!
Agreed !!

Please film the completed project . This pond is going to be awesome !
The person I turn to about natural pools is David Pagan Butler. He has an active RUclips channel.

Geoff thank you for everything that you do. You dedication and love for what you do. I give you honor and respect.
Awesome project. I am looking forward to see it getting filled with water. Happy new year from the Netherlands. 👍
Wow! So glad to meet Geoff's son Daniel. Can't wait to see the finished project. Looks amazing!!
Im looking forward to seeing this pond completed!
I can't wait to see the finished pool. I hope it goes smoothly.
Looks great! A lot of hard work that for sure! Looking forward to seeing the final result 💪
Wow! Will we get to see this system in action?
Looks brilliant (and I want to put hats and sunblock on y'all!)
If you don't eat oils, you are unlikely to need sunblock.
Love the project thus far; be nice to see some large boulders too, both in the pond and mix in the planting areas.
Amazing!
thank you!!!!

Happy new Year Geoff !!!
Salam aleykum Geoff,
Did you write a book that we could purchase?
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
How did it handle the flash flood last night?
Has it filled up with water yet.?
what is happening in Jordan, why you in Australia now?

would be awesome to figure out how to do this with more natural materials. all that plastic seems antithetical to ideal permaculture principles.
In my opinion it has nothing to do with natural.... to much plastic and energy...
One of these men have an English voice. The other ones do not… not hating.. just saying

@@danyoutube7491 in that case I bet you also have an English voice 🏴🤓
@@blackprincegt Well naturally :)

Interesting system. Does it scale down well?
