I so love the orderly, organized manner in which these ceremonies are conducted. I noticed that the Duke and the Duchess had different, concurrent duties to perform, so everyone had the opportunity to be seen and greeted. And it was such a beautiful day to boot! ❤

The Prince reminds me so much of his father. He will make a wonderful Duke of Edinburgh. His wife Sophie is a beautiful Duchess. They are both a credit to the Monarchy. May God bless them both.

Two of the ladies in the last group seemed completely oblivious of proper royal protocol even though they knew they were to have the honor of meeting them personally, showing up in baggy trousers and not a curtsy in sight. Sadly unmannerly.
Certainly judge mental... Nothing wrong with women not in dresses and not everyone is required to curtsy.
The last time I see this was QE2 was receiving the key and it is now wonderful to see Edward is keeping up this tradition thanx Edward and Sophie love you from SA

What a beautiful day for this ceremony. I enjoyed this video very much. I was born and lived in Edinburgh, it is my hometown but now I live in Canada.. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are such a lovely couple.

It’s wonderful how the RF have all stepped up when The King has been unwell . It’s lovely to see Edward and Sophie in this role doing a great job .
I spotted the Duke of Hamilton towards the end of the public ceremony, Hereditary Keeper of the Palace of Holyrood House and the Hereditary Bearer of the Crown of Scotland.
How proud Prince Philip would be of his son and loving wife Sophie. He shows great respect of his position as Duke of Edinburgh and the Duchess is a breath of fresh air. So much more that just duty to them both. Thank you for all the work you both do for the King, the Commonwealth and family.
No wonder Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed & trusted Sophie so much. She never seems to put a foot wrong. Very warm & genuine. This coming from an American.
Prince Edward is more like his father, doesnt seek any attention, just get on with the job, and happy to be in the background, its wonderful to see how he is stepping up to help his brother and the RF as a whole.
Truth be told Prince Edward and Duchess Of Edinburgh are the rock behind the Late Queen, such wondeful down to earth couple.

I was in Edinburgh on Friday, May 17, but I was not able to see the Ceremony of the Keys. Unfortunately, I left on Saturday morning and also missed Prince Edward's appearance at St Gilles Cathedral on Sunday.
