- Looking to make a perfect woodworking gift that's not another cutting board? Here's a quick project that you can make in just a few hours. They're easy to batch out and make multiples of, they use up all those long offcuts you've been hoarding, and the person you give one to will think of you every time they pop open a cold one.
An easy project for the beginning woodworker but a fun project for all skill levels.

Please note: I have no affiliation with magnet4less.com. In my experience, the magnets are high quality and they have the best prices around, especially for the large magnet.

A fun, straight to the point instructional video with a lot of value. Thank you for taking the time to make such content and share it! Cheers! :)
Thank you Rany! I appreciate the kind words very much.
Perfect graduation gift!
Thanks for watching!
I used to have one on the driver side pillar in my VW caddy ml1 pick up :)
Now that car’s a blast from the past! Thanks for watching.
I really like your videos. This was the last one I watched.
Interesting gift idea, but man those 1.5" magnets are expensive...
Thanks for watching, Tom! Yeah, I know. The magnets can get pricey especially when you only want to buy just one or two.
Thanks for the idea
Nicely done. Simple but fun little build anyone could do, and we'll explained!
Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated!
A very interesting video with all the details you need to know about its design. Good job.
Appreciate it, Maurice. Thanks for watching.
Such a simple project and very well presented 👍 will be added to my list of things to make after Ive sourced some magnets 🧲 here in the UK.
I appreciate you watching. Hope you could find a good source at the right price. Prices vary very widely for the same magnets over here. Thanks again!
Love it!
Thanks Jason!
Where is the link that you purchased the magnet from?
Thanks for watching. All the links for the magnets are in the video description.
Hi, I was wondering if I can ask you for some help? I made a few of these, but I painted mine and I also painted a logo on them but in order to protect the logo from getting scratched from the bottle caps, I tried to seal it with brushing on some poly, I was wondering what you would suggest I seal one of these with that is painted with a painted logo? I like the idea of mounting on the fridge, but does it scratch it at all? Thank you.
Even several coats of poly will eventually get worn through from the caps. Maybe try a coat of two-part epoxy? That’s probably your most durable choice. And the trick to not scratching the fridge is to set the magnets a hair below the wood. The wood is much easier on the fridge than the metal of the magnets. Thanks for watching and reaching out!
@@quillwoodworks thank you so much!!
@@quillwoodworks sorry to bug just had one more question. I usually make a vinyl decal which I put over as a template and then I spray paint the logo. Do you think it would be better to use a vinyl decal and then seal that instead of painting the logo?
I think a painted logo with some wear on it would look better (a bit of rustic look) than a sticker with wear on it.
This project reminded me of Woody Hyezmar's Bible somehow…, although you can currently get it at no cost, the projects are worth a good look. Maybe try go’ogling his latest.
