Cycle Limone, Lake Garda, Italy

At the north end, Lake Garda narrows to a point with high mountains all around. Here you find beautiful villages like Limone clinging to the rocky slopes.
Getting through the busy centre on a bike is something of an ordeal and the steep climbs on cobbles are tough, but the reward is the remarkable new cycleway built out from the side of the cliffs.
The music is called L’Amour, and is a heavily adapted version of a “Valse Parisienne” I wrote for clarinet duet. The accordion incidentally is played on wind synth. I’ve had my WX11 for 30 years now…amazing that I can still plug it in and use it with new technology.

Yet another lovely ride! Seemed way too busy in places. I wonder what a ride like that would be like in the middle of the night. Part scary, part romantic, but far fewer folks in the way.

I would love to do the ride at night, under a full moon with no lights. No point in complaining about the congestion though...we're part of the problem!

Lovely relaxed flow the music has, like the speed the bike has. This looks more like vacation than the Alpes and the Belgium cobble stones 🙃
