Hey, Brett, did you know you can disable Worse Than Death, which makes all these stupid derangements _far_ less frequent?
He probably don't want to since breaking them makes it more interesting for the script, though it can get annoying if you break someone with a good personality
Making them less frequent is probably exactly why he isn't going to. Especially with how massively gimped the Nemesis system is for allies, having the broken brained noises at least gives them a modicum of character once they're blue, let alone the nonsense the odd maniac brings.
And so, Talion left the desert in search of a new spark, only to be Mag-ma dumped by a new villain, and speared by another that Lava'd him too much to see him go.

For the new area, I feel like a little fun idea is turn on fort defense missions again, lose the fort l, and get the forsaken to become the overlord so it’s a neat little climax to the saga
An expansion on that idea wait in the backline and wait for the attackers to capture all the Victory points. Because the Overlord takes to the field if that happens.
