      Yep. In the original video... Did the complainer aim a shotty at the officer. Cause if the officer aimed the pistol at a combat veteran first. The officer is lucky to be alive. The complainer did sound a little intoxicated.
      But this video does not show the complainer with shotty in hand. Just remember. Whether you have a badge or not. The threat of pointing a weapon is considered lethal force. Dont expect a good outcome. Once you decide to go down that one way road with a combat veteran. Not taking sides. It aint about the law when you point guns at people.

    I live in the country in Texas and we hear gunfire a lot. It's usually our neighbors a half mile down the road practicing on their private shooting lane on their property.. My new California neighbors freaked out the first time he heard our neigbor and his buddies had turned out to practice their shooting skills. The CA neighbor called me and said they were going to call the sheriff. I told them not to bother because this is Texas and it's perfectly legal. They did not understand, until I reminded they Moved to Texas and are not in California anymore. We have guns, and out here, practice is normal. I took them on my side by side over and introduced them to the guys at the gun lane and they are good with it now. In fact, I saw my CA neigbor the other day headed over there on his golf cart with a pistol box on the seat. He's going over to shoot with the neighbors. They now have a back yard full of chickens and goats.

    We have a crazy neighbor too. I don't know if he's armed but I wouldn't doubt it. My take is to be friendly but not friends with him. When I do see him I keep the interactions short. A couple of times he wanted to fight about something but I just said I was sorry and he went away. Proverbs 15:1-2 "A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness."

      The bible is full of bad advice.

    • @Joe5561000
      @Joe5561000 28 дней назад +2

      @@cdogthehedgehog6923How is "a soft answer turns away wrath" bad advice? Do you not understand that yelling at someone causes them to yell louder? Do you not understand that pretty much all deescalatetion tactics are based on this principle? I think maybe you need to take another look at the Bible. Because I think you may have missed what it's trying to tell you. For instance, this verse is not saying that a soft answer will ALWAYS turn away wrath. If that's what you think it's saying then you misunderstood. It's a principle not an absolute. God and His love are absolute, the principals, written by King Solomon, that we find in Proverbs are good principles, but there's a time and place for everything. We see that in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 which was also written by King Solomon. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the Bible is the source of all good advice. The Bible is the manual for living a "good" life. I don't mean a life free of trouble, but possibly free of earthly consequences earned by our own actions. The reason God gave us this manual is to show us that it's not possible for us to live a sinless life. We have all earned eternity in Hell. Each and every one of us has bought a ticket, to burn for eternity, and we purchased it with our rejection of Christ's sacrifice on the Cross. So even a life lived following all the rules, and advice in the Bible doesn't refund that ticket to hell. Because future good behavior doesn't wipe out past sins. Just like being a good driver after running a red light doesn't pay for that moving violation. Or living a good life after murdering someone doesn't pay for that crime. You see God wants us to live by those rules, not because it gets us to heaven, but because life is a lot less complicated when we do. Jesus already paid for our ticket to heaven, with His blood, through his death and resurrection. It's not necessary for us to try to buy our way with "good works". The cost of our ticket to heaven is humility. It costs us only the realization that we can't pay for our own sin, and we need Jesus to refund that ticket we purchased, and change the destination. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. This is what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. Then, those "good works" are done with a different mindset. They are done to please the Lord, and point others to Christ. Jesus said "if you love me, keep my commandments" So to me the Bible doesn't have good advice. It has the best advice.

      @@cdogthehedgehog6923 It's actually not. Because brain surgery is typically necessary to save your life.
      Lasik is not. It's elective. You don't need it to see. You don't need it to live. You can wear glasses or contacts instead.
      The risk of NOT undergoing brain surgery is that you die. The risk of NOT undergoing lasik is that you have to put on glasses or contacts to see. You're not going to die from foregoing lasik.
      The risk of undergoing lasik is that they screw it up, and leave you worse off than you were. Or they leave you without enough cornea for further corrections down the road.

    Imagine being hit in the face, and you look up and see a civilian standing over you covering fire. Gotta be an amazing feeling. Absolute badass.

    Civi ran his gun dry. Maybe the first example of private citizen needing a reload?

    Crazy. My first thought was that the police should have been deescalatory at the very beginning, and although a good general approach, I am sure it would not have worked in this case with this mad man.

    I was in a self defense shooting. Unfortunately, it came down to it, and I did have to shoot and he died. I was cleared, and never even put in a cell or got a mug shot. Its something that still fucks with me, and this was maybe 4ish years ago. It took me forever to forgive myself. I still dont totally forgive myself. I'm not a violent or aggressive person. So having to do that was awful. Even though the guy assaulted me, and came back to attack me possibly with a weapon, I took someones son, friend, loved ones life. He was mentally ill, and in crisis. And I absolutely can sympathize with that. I had my own troubles with depression and wanting to end it all at a point in my life. Its took me years, but ive finally come to a point where I can sympathize with him and his struggles, but I didn't want to die or my ex fiance who I was with to die. So it sucks majorally, and it still hurts, but I understand that I didn't have a choice in that moment. It was act, or possibly be killed. To this day, I still love firearms. I don't think I will ever be able to hold one again though.

      I doubt it. It had to be pellets. If it was a slug this wouldn’t be on RUclips and two officers would be dead. If you look closely the officer has multiple bleeding points on the side of his face.

    Private citizens helping cops with no body armor is a HUGE GAMBLE like Mike said cops won’t know who’s the bad guy if your not in uniform
