Hope the new yak gives you years of fishing fun! Can relate to the weight being a problem - while my Pedal Pro is awesome, it can be difficult to lug around! Cracker vid as always Andy 👍
Back when you could find orange roughy in restaurants it was my favorite salt water fish. Not sure I liked it as much as you seem to like your orange roughy, but it may be close. LoL 👍🤙
Great session and video. Any chance of doing a squidding session on the paddle kayak as opposed to the pedal kayak and give us some techniques while paddling? I only have a paddle kayak hence the request
A few reasons mate, first I like to paddle for fitness as well as fishing and the outback isn't suited to that, second a fully loaded outback is heavy and a pain to get on and off the ute, and third it is getting a bit long in the tooth and it is time for a change.
I know you've replaced the Tarpon 120 but one thing I'd like to know about the Tarpon, did you carry it on the roof of your vehicle or trailer it? I was looking at one and would like to carry it on the roof. Is is doable without too much pre-training in the gym. PS I'm an old gy. cheers
I haven't replaced it mate, still got it and get plenty of use from it. I transport it on the roof of my ute, very easy to load and unload....much easier than my old Outback.
Great fun catching those choppers. Good looking kayak mate.
Cheers Chris, it's a ripper mate!
Hey Andy, great vid again. I have a hobie passport 12 which is fantastic. Have a gander at one of them
Cheers mate, I will be sure to check out a few different Hobies before I replace the Outback.
My haunting of gumtree is producing nothing as magnificent as this yak.
Facebook marketplace was the winner for this one...though it is definitely a case of buyer beware on that platform!

Cheers Paz, I am sure I will get plenty of enjoyment form this one mate!
Great video nice kayak
Cheers mate.
@@paddlefisher what time of the day did you go to Applecross some times that spot gets very busy with boat traffic
Just after dawn mate, I usually prefer to be on the water as early as possible.

Cheers Brian, I sure do love my Orange Roughy!
The birds were dive bombing Claremont jetty yesterday. Where was ya launch spot Andy? Looked good.
Applecross jetty mate, super easy launch.

No problem mate, I plan on doing a squid run in the near future.
Thanks for the vid Andy. Is there a main reason why you look like moving away from the outback ?
