It is the arrogant, know-all, and "educated" South that blames the North for every problem in Nigeria. It's like you have educated saints from the South accusing the North of holding back the progress of the country! There are some Southerners who are dumber than some Northerners. Formal education alone does not guarantee success in real life. It is education coupled with imagination (not taught in any school), that drives meaningful development in any society. It is education coupled with imagination and creativity that has made Dangote, a Northerner, a successful businessman who is the highest taxpayer in the South! Why can't Southerners ask dissatisfied Northers to present their case for discussion? The South demonizing the North is like the kettle calling the pot black!
