He went on to earn his doctorate in sacred music and taught me, an undergraduate, in Ireland in the early 1980s. He spoke fondly and reverently about the Philippines and the Filipino people. He clearly loved the country. He spoke about the pipe organ and a golf course he built! I always wanted to know where it was; I will visit some day. It looks beautiful.
