Motorcycle Clubs are an active sport so to speak. The act of being a Motorcycle Club member is getting out. In this day and age, how many young adults don’t even have drivers license? How many order food thru an app? How many go to work virtually? How many meet their friends in video games online? Kids these days don’t even get out.
Then there is the issue of culture. I am a veteran and I remember a long time ago reading an article speaking on why places such as the VFW are dieing out. When a young Veteran walks into a dark dirty run down VFW with an ancient drunk at a bar, 1950’s music playing in the background, they are like, “there is nothing for me here”. Never mind their opinionated boomer attitudes. They just leave and never come back.
And then some of the points you just made. Look, it’s not the 1970’s anymore. You use to be able to get into a bar fight and not go to prison for two life terms. I’ve heard stories of people who got into fist fights with LE and the worst that happened to them was they had to sleep it off in jail overnight. There wasn’t video cameras everywhere, never mind that those cameras have instant access to the internet. Oh, and nobody had heard of viral videos before either making otherwise unknown people instant celebrities overnight. Hell; most small scuffles might have made the local paper but even the slightest stuff these days is instant Nation Wide Headlines with sensational reporting blowing stuff out of proportion many times.
And finally you have the price of Harley’s. You can get a metric bike with better technology in most cases for a half or third the price.

I walked away because there was no consistency with rules, regulations, and guidelines. Someone would tell you to stick to this and a week later they’re telling you to relax and you taking things too serious.
I love rules and regulations they have to be solid.
Too many games as well. Don’t sit at my table and eat with my family and pretend to be my friend and then set me up with something I might’ve said in my own house. I would rather be told it’s none of my business, shut your mouth or I’ll shut it for you to be agreed with my house and then set up and disagreed with at the next meeting.
Can’t even get an answer as to whether I’m out bad or good at this point so I’m not gonna travel halfway across the country to a rally just to be told to leave.

Lmao. The difference is the quality of people. Loyalty, honor, and respect are not attributes common to people today. It's a world full of people who think the world revolves around them. They've never been a part of something bigger than them. They've never experienced the brotherhood , and the camaraderie of it.

Too many politics, too much partying with support and social clubs. Not enough riding. The economy because all that dam partying plus club dues gets expensive. Riding alone is better and cheaper.

I’m a 71 yr old ex-Ol lady & the oldest to go to his clubhouse once a month now. RIP 👑❤️😢‼️ All new members r younger than my son , play music that I’ve never heard of , cell phones going off all the time etc. I’m struggling with my own identity crisis ‼️The old way it was isn’t there anymore & it saddens me. My son says I need to move on & be happy with the memories that I have but let go mom!!!” “ and I don’t want to hear your riding with someone that’s older than u it scares the 💩out of me & I love u. Please keep both ft on the ground “. Just lost two more brothers & one in another club that I’m going to the Celebration of Life at their Clubhouse on Sat. It’s been almost a yr since my Ol’ Man died. I’m beginning to understand what my father went thru & I wish I had been more supportive ‼️‼️just sayin ‘. LH&at is what I live for ❤❤RIP

It happened with the underground metal scene. Too many people talking sh$t on the internet, this totally destroys the mystique of what made the scene good to start with. It’s not just the biker scene, the internet in time has turned people off of the special things they loved 30 years ago. The internet is a rubbish dump that has ruined all extracurricular groups.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the internet. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it’s expensive as hell to be in a club and then you have to deal with a bunch of bullshit politics and very little actual riding.

The world and society in general aren't what it used to be. So many people nowadays want to be what I like to call (hyper woke) and question everything just because they think they're entitled to do so. Moreover, people aren't built the way they used to be either. I'm a product of the 80's when we used to run around outside, get dirty, get into fights (without the worry of reprisal), and talk on the phone (no texting or internet bs).....yeah, those were the good ol days!!!! today's society is ruined and people have no clue what being a friend or brother is truly about anymore. How in the hell do we as a society and country get back to that!!!!!!

I’m 52 years old. When I was 20 I was all in for stupid. Today I work 50+ hours a week and I don’t have time for mandatory stuff. My old lady is my shadow and she is an information sponge. And I honestly don’t have many friends. I know many people but I have a couple real friends that if the phone rings in the middle of the night I won’t ask questions. And how you point out that “brother hood” thing is my exact problem. I become their backup plan and if I need help the phone goes to VM.

And another 2 diamonds that basically vanished are back with growing numbers. I live in a big city with a lot of clubs. Just sayin this may depend on where you are.

I ride my scrap to get away from the Union Politics I got at work...I dont need any more.

Like several here have observed, times and culture changes. I've been riding for over 40 years, never been in any type of club MC, RC or otherwise. But, I have seen membership in two organizations I am a member of (Veterans of Foreign Wars and Freemason's) steadily decline despite their best efforts to retain and recruit. Overall, folks under 45-50 years of age just aren't as interested as older folks in being part of a "club" of any sort.

Dude, people these days are so selfish. The ones that are in it for themselves are showing themselves the door, and theyre the thorns in the sides of the real ones. So, clubs these days may not be getting bigger, but theyre getting better. Quality over quantity brother. The real ride, and the fake divide. Everything is exactly the way its supposed to be. Dont be sad bruh, the pendulum will swing back. Because you got these famous youtube punks that built a career on talking shit, meanwhile, their women are out living out their fantasies on us outlaws bikers into the morning... We aint going nowhere. Dont stress bruh. We're americas greatest pastime, and fuck baseball, our shit is a way of life...

I'm an Aluminate ' that teaches One Humanitarian Truth Under God. I'm a very religious man that understands behavior and consequences. I think you can look at many things. Internet riding groups; people having to work longer hours to make ends meet, as people become more corrupt they have a harder time getting along in groups; communicating through electronic devices nullifying as much need to meet in groups; the gaming craze; and men becoming more feminine. I'm in an Internet riding group and I like it because I can ride with friends and go to functions without the responsibilities of being in a club which is great for my busy schedule. I also think there's just more different things to occupy peoples time. An example is before television you either stayed home and read or went out and socialized. There's way options now then back then.

Tbh ive seen better results from a mro than a mc. Its the cause over the me. Mc is supposed to be about we we we, not me me me and having the root of the organization be about somthing bigger than a patch of turf and the next party helps keep that focus. Men need brotherhood and comradery but they also need a pourpose.
I will say ive felt more brotherhood in < organization that shall not be named> than i ever did in a actual mc.

The old heads on your BS episode are the only ones doing it right. They looked like true brothers hanging out and partying, having a good time. They could barely operate a laptop or stay connected. It doesn't appear that they give a F about what's happening on the internet or the rest of the nation. What ever happened to the small neighborhood clubs hanging out in a shop or a backyard somewhere? Maybe if it got back to basics more people would be interested. Too many clubs worry about their image, getting bigger, the internet. It needs to be more riding, partying, and hanging with people who's company you enjoy. Longest comment I've ever made. Peace, love, motorcycles and whores. Rock on Hollywood!

I grew up on the West coast of Canada....my older brothers and some friends rode with various local clubs....I can think of at least a dozen in the late sixties, pretty much every community had one near by, and most got along most of the time...one by one they were patched over and became Satans Angels.....then they patched over to 81.

Hollywood, I have always ridden motorcycles. From dirt bikes to a sportster to a sport glide. The only club I have ever been around was a support club for a international Big 4 or 5 1% club. I do not mean to disrespect anyone but it was not what I expected. I saw women calling the shots and even able to bag on club prospects like they were members . Women planning and making all the rules for the Halloween parties etc.Like you have to wear a costume?? Then keep the damn thing on all party. Women sitting in on the churches and members getting patched in. I at one point when I was hanging around asked if this was the mens club or women's club and got reprimanded for it. They want you to be a square bear preferably business owner and make a certain amount of money every year. They prefer not to patch in people with records because they don't want the bad attention from the Leo's. With all these square bear rules and high school boys girl drama I went my separate way. Not at all what I thought I would find. I definitely see how a man could walk away from highschool on wheels. Edit- however I definitely see how some people would like it , and I know all places and people are different. I've had a major back surgery now and the bikes collecting dust. I was just looking for the adult version of my football team kind of feeling. I still keep in touch with those bros but they have spread out everywhere . Great show!
