Danke für die Arbeit! Ich habe meins jetzt ca. 1 Monat und bin extrem zufrieden. Der absolut saubere Aufbau im Innenraum hat meine Kaufentscheidung übrigens auch noch beeinflusst. 🤗
I like my P820 but it is a little harsh on the high frequencies. Any suggestions? Change the tube? Second: I had a strange distortion in it. First I suspected the cable somehow. But after opening the mic I came across the little screw that connects the plug in the chassis: it was really not tight and therefor the complete housing of the mic was not connected to the earth sometime since the plug has a little room/wiggle for not being against the housing. TIGHTENED the screw and all problems were solved instantaneously 🙃 Btw I needed your vid to get there! (magic tool)
Beautiful video. I have this mic. I love it. However, I want to “upgrade” the tube (swap for different sound). It’s very angelic up top and I would love for it to be flat and neutral all the way around (old radio sound). Do you have any tube replacement recommendations?
I would suggest going with a slightly lower gain tube... I went with a NOS GE6072, but ElectroHarmonix do a very nice 12ay7 Gold Pin that also sounds great, at least a fifth of the price.
I upgraded the tube to a new GE JAN 5751 12AX7 GREY PLATE 3 MICA D GETR PERFECT BALANCE TEST NOS VINTAGE 1950's from reverb for $50 and wow, what a difference. Better gain and significantly quieter.
Wondering about the frequency respons after your upgrade: has it less hiss (high boost)? If find the mic a little harsh on the highs and would like to finish that off with an other tube maybe?@@BillBene67

My 2 cents... whip that K67-alike capsule out and stick a CK12 in there, upgrade a few of the caps......?

@@mygiguser I made one from drywall anchoring hooks and worked like a charm. Your tool is prettier than mine though...
immer wieder lustig, wenn Deutsche mit ihrem total schlechten Schulenglisch Videos machen um mehr Zuschauer zu bekommen xD
