Let's face it. Clash Royale has always been pay to win. But have you ever noticed that the shop offers nowadays have been getting worse and worse? Its therefore easy to say one thing is the worst deal you have ever seen. But in this video, I hope to truly find out what is the worst deal in Clash Royale, as I have scoured through hundreds of offers to try and find which one is the worst offer in Clash Royale history.

You see, Supercell is slowly getting rid of all of the Pay 2 Win aspects of the game by making the deals worse and worse over time until nobody buys anything anymore.

I feel they’re doing these horrible shop offers to get players to see how much better value the pass is compared to it, which entices people to buy the pass when they feel spending money.
Yeah it’s all part of their plan, but in the end they know someone will be “foolish” enough to buy it, probably like some kid or something
There was that one deal where you payed 300 gems for a lightning chest, even though you could just scroll down and pay the default 150 for the same chest.

one time i accidentally spent like 200 gems on heal spirits in the shop because i assumed it costed gold and didn't actually read the price, since rares are usually all the same price in gold. the gem offers solely exist to catch you off guard and make you waste a bunch of gems on accident because you're not paying enough attention, and it's so scummy it's insane.

Yeah it’s terrible but at it’s release it was an entirely new concept and also the deal had 4 book of commons and a book of books along with I think it was 12000 common wild cards or something, so aside from the terrible value for the evos the deal was probably worth around $40 ish USD I would say maybe $50 if u factor in Supercell tax lol. But it’s still worse then like 80% of the deals in this vid and it’s my bad for not including it

@@epsilonclash the people at the top ultimately decide where the money goes because they make the most off of it. It is also a classic modern day Tencent tactic (they basically invented it) to inflate games with a plethora of currencies to confuse consumers on the value of other things in the game. It took a bit but after Tencent got involved more boom level 15 boom champions boom magic items etc. etc iirc
Game is dying compared to its hayday, they are definitely trying to squeeze the last drops out of an already squeezed lemon

So the pass in euros is 15€ but the pass in USD is 12$

most of the card deals where made to unlock the cards early not to max it out and the other deals where somewhat ok back then and when you compare it to the pass the deals are made to be extra stuff after you buy the pass and the token shop was not like that when most deals where created

Hear me out, removing book of books was nescessary from pass royale. It completely wrecked trophy road, and even people who payed for it were compelled to do so more since they say higher level people wrecking them. Being free to play was a joke, thank god I didn’t play during that time and the game as a whole started stagnating. The season shop is a wonderful addition, instead of monotonously grinding party mode you could do so while earning things to progress. Lvl 15 wasn’t as bad tbh, but they implemented it wrong imo. Don’t even get me started on Evos lmao, it’s way too hard to get those as free to play and pass royale evos are ridiculous but it’s a good business descision tbh.
Yeah you’re right they did need to nerf the pass royale, however they could have at least gone a bit slower then they did lol, becuase it made it seem like they were only looking for money. Doesn’t help that they increased the price either. But yeah free to play now is kind of a joke and I’m free to play so I’ve saved up my 6 evo shards lol

Yeah it did but it seems that people are still buying the pass regardless of whether or not it was nerfed, and also adding evos to the pass makes it worse for F2P since evos are already broken asf

hey, this is a pretty nice video!! I just have 1 complain, you argue using the wild cards as if they were 500 tokens every time, even tho after the third buy, they get more and more expensive. This is just a side note, you did perfectly!!

People in the comments, do not forget that Supercell is a Finnish company and there is a 50% tax. And also remember 2016-2017 then the donation was as severe as possible compared to what we have now

I kinda actually think that the elite wild card sale was kind of fair (only for the gold deal) since elite wild cards were hard to get plus supercell gave away 1.75m gold for the chess thing

I accidentally bought some 5 Epic Cards (I don't remember which one) for 250 gems. I didn't know that there were gem offers at shop. I had a lot of money and bought them all without paying much attention. And I regret it very much now.

I don't think Clash Royale is pay to win. Hear me out.
The reason the prices are so high is so that most people will play normally. Playing normally CAN get you maxed out at least partially. The prices are so high so that the people that normally pay money see how little so much money actually progresses them, so they'll play normally.
Thus, most people just choose not to pay.
The select few people who do pay the wild amounts of momey are big youtubers and top-level players, and chances are they're not the ones destroying you in all your battles.
No one pays that much, even players who normally pay to win. Clash Royale isn't "pay to win". It's "pay a lot to see just quite how little that progresses you, and see that you're better off just not paying".
Yeah you are exactly right making the game more expensive does make it less F2P friendly, I just hope that they incentivise F2P more tho to prevent P2W being so much more appealing you know what I mean

Objectively speaking the worst deal ever is probably the 8 champion wild cards for like 50 dollars, also the fact that is still 7x value apparently, like a book of books is 10x better and I'm pretty sure they had offered book of books for not that much money excluding the pass, and that back then 8 wild champion cards was a miserable 4000 elite wild cards (I think)(current rates are still bad but you know), also you should take into account the inexistence of level 14 and 15 for most of those offers, so they aren't the worst (tho all offers in this video are terrible)
