IIRC, Mark and the team mentioned that entire year 1 content is ready for release and they're currently working on year 2. The game itself tells you to read the pre-season news right when you first start it, did you not read it?
I like how Player First Games actually worked on Multiversus when the beta ended, added 4 new characters and maps and added a lot of quality of life changes to the game. I was kind of disappointed Ubisoft did nothing with this game.

Even Gigantic's new edition had the foresight to add new *everything* when they were re-releasing their game from 2016

U couldn’t play with friends half the time, u don’t randomly get ur guns reset/overall lvl reset anymore (glad they did bc I’d hate to play for hours then come back next day and everything back to lvl 1), and net-code a lot better. Doesn’t sound like a lot but fixing things like netcode takes months. Halo infinite took close to 2 years, BO3 took 6 months, MW2 was never fixed, etc…tons of other examples

I think it’s a fun time, but Echelon just feels like the best faction by far. Especially with how inconsistent the Napalm Drone is. Also your Ultimate takes a while to get, making it practically a once per game thing.

the starting guns without attachments are ABYSMALLY BAD, its so hard to level up cause you pump lead into people and get 0 kills, especially since the TTK with weapons after is so fasts. steepest hill ever for new players just starting to play with full release playing against people with maxed good weapons
I tried playing this yesterday, and I had the least ammount of fun gaming ive probably ever had. Its already super sweaty, for me the gunplay just feels meh, and i really hate getting randomly killed by an invisible guy with a shotgun
plus the fact that you have to grind to get weapon upgrades? wtf, thats one big reason i just cant get into cod, it just feels stupid to have a disadvantage as a new player. ( beside the game knowledge)
I don’t think it’s that sweaty lol. I’m a peak Gold/Plat player for most ranked FPS games. (R6, Overwatch, VAL) and I been consistently dropping 1.5-2.0 KD games while sitting back and listening to music. Guns have no recoil, movement is limited, just gotta track relatively well.
There’s a Welcome playlist for players level 25 or under! And that one has slight SBMM so you can get used to the game if you’re bad, and if you’re good you can get out of welcome playlist to no SBMM
Macro the entire time it was in development was to polish it. it may still have some glitchesb, but as someone who played the beta the game in its current state feels wzy better in comparison

Macro i assume you dont know but xdefiant hasnt had an easy time with development, the game at one point had to be completed deleted and they had to rebuild it from the ground up, they are adding new factions with new seasons, next season (in 30 days) a new faction will be released as seen on the road map theyve posted. Also im sure they wanted to add way more bc the dev seem to really care about their game but they are working with a shitty company and have had a shitty time developing the game running into MAJOR problems

The game runs so bad for some reason, even the first beta back in 2023 ran better than this full release. The input delay and random fps drops make it really unfun for me. :(

I hate the finals haha but I could see why people like it. XD is just another generic shooter with cool little abilities. Super low barrier to entry, these types of games usually get boring quickly.
