the joy and hate of knowing that no matter what you do at work they won't fire you, but they won't fire you because they are so short staffed and many of your other coworkers are slackers too. You just slack off less then them.
"heh heh im so evil for giving people take out boxes"
Most evil Runie moment:
she had too much Stacy personality while working there
Parts of her story really resonate with me. Many years going to places, asking money to parents and relatives so I could just pay to print out my CV, pay bus fair and so on and never getting called for anything. That sure put a huge mental toll on me that took a long while to go away.
a downside of having a bit of the tism is, you're typically annoyed with very extroverted people, so in your head you think "I find them annoying, so I bet everyone else finds them annoying too. So I'll try and not be like them." Not realizing most normies actually like friendly bubbly people.
In the phase she described right now. Trying to get a job after studying. Feels like I wasted my life studying. Feelsbadman. Still trying to grind my portfolio and send out applications every day.
You'll know that you've made a mistake when you are nearing 30 and just paid off your student loans for your degree. Only to realize, that you just reached the same point that you would have been in if you just never went to college.
@@RambleOn07 US education and working culture is completely fucked.
you shouldnt go to university to get a high paying job. it should never feel like a mistake to receive higher education, because you cant find work.
@@hunzukunz I disagree. If higher education doesn't lead to a job, it was a complete waste of time. Anything that you want to learn, you can learn as a hobby. It's rare in history for higher education to be anything other than glorified indoctrination centers. If it didn't teach you any useful skills then you were completely scammed.
I was crestfallen that I wasted my parents money and spent an entire year of looking for positions with my bachelors before I gave up and pursued different career paths. My parents still tried to make me out as a genius because I was one of the few family members that had ever even gotten to go to college but I genuinely still feel like a failure for being able to do nothing related to that piece of paper
I empathize with Runie.
So glad ive never worked at a wait staff style job
Runie is so based for that
I feel her on not getting interviews. It sucks.
Did Runie work at a Hooters or something? Cause they're the only ones I've seen that lean on the table and act super friendly. Most waiters I've seen act like Runie.
That was literally the question I wanted to ask. Hooters and other similar restaurants are the only ones where the waitstaff would ever do something like sit in your booth or try to make small talk. That plus details like 'they made way more money than me' and 'I was the only one who showed up on time' makes me think it was a hooters.
Although I think its funny that runie calls that kind of behavior "shameless" when she's basically doing the same type of work as a vtuber, that is, being flirty with viewers for tips.
@@demonicspire1345this job would have the benefit of not showing yourself unlike a hooters
@@thatoneguyyouthinkshouldbe2431 I understand the reason why vtubing is a more desirable job than working at hooters, I'm just saying fundamentally its the same *type* of work.
So she did a 4 year degree, then worked her first job for 3 years, then took a couple more years to get her current job? Hag love.
Yes, the pretty waitresses who flirt make the most money. If you don't want to do that, you either accept that you're not going to be as popular with the customers or you find something else to do.
And yes, networking is how you get jobs. But that works out for the company. If you don't pull your weight, your former coworkers won't recommend you.
Yo baby
