- Stay ahead of the game by keeping your logbook neet, it might not seem important right now but it will increase the chances of getting hired as a pro pilot in the future.

I started logging with ForeFlight since 2021. I still duplicate that record in a regular paper logbook. The reason I feel a regular paper logbook is very important is because it is a more viable way for a CFI to sign you off on things like biannual flights, ratings, competency, checks, and endorsements, such as tail wheel, or if you are a student, cross country and complex. You also have a definite CFI name, certificate number and signature.
My Logbooks have black, blue, and green. All paper books.
I got hired by multiple 91, 135, and 121 operators...
Personally, I like blue.
I am a student pilot and my log book has black and blue ink. So be it.
Way back when my logbook got subjected to a flood. I had used black, felt pen and have a lot of runny entries now. It’s still was able to suffice for me to get my commercial and multi ratings.
This tip is very helpful from him but I'm trying so hard not to use pink out of rebellion now💀💀💀
I like blue.
Is it too late to use an electronic logbook for hours I’ve already logged?
No, you should always have a hard copy and an electric copy. If you are missing an electronic one simply rewrite all your entries into the electronic logbook of your choice.
Firstly you say that airlines want to see your logbook digitally so there will never be a reason they will see your paper logbook so who cares what color it is. Useless info. If you're planning to have a career in aviation transition to an electronic logbook and disregard all this nonsense about black pen and blah blah blah.
