nice !! i would have liked to have seen some peggable tabs on the corners of the panel, and a peg tab on the ends of the legs. In windy conditions facing the grass isn't going to help if it gets blown over.
Was looking at the 120w portable panel to charge my Bluetti 180. Came to the same conclusion as you, I'd need larger panels. I've got enough power for most weekend trips and will probably get a 100 ah AGM and step up converter for when it needs a boost.
Watch this space. Next video I think is the 600w panel. This thing is massive. Realistically though, I think the 200s are where it's at for this sort of thing
Just had a quick look. With all of the folding panels I have now, I don't think I'd go back to something that's rigid like that. It would be interesting to test it though and see how it goes long term compared to the blanket type design. Either way, does look interesting. Would be prefect for home temporary use though.
That Bluetti is very impressive. Enjoying the vids. Just wondering if you have tried any of the more affordable options like the Atem ? Thinking of linking a couple of 200w panels as a budget way of achieving " bang for buck ". Would be interested in your thoughts, and maybe a video review of this method one day ? Cheers
I have an atom power flex pane there to test too. I paid for that one, so I can take my time with the review. but for your info, seems well made, as much as any others Ive seen BUT output was only very average. Best I saw was about 125W out of the 200W unit and that was in summer with direct sun.I did get 100ish laying down. I cant remember if i got it from sunyee or vicoffroad. both had the same but one was a smidge cheaper. just looked a the price and I'm pretty sure I paid on sale about $200 odd. I've got most of the footage there but intended to do some more testing. I can slap it together in a video and load it up if you'd like. otherwise I've got heaps of products here at the moment to get through, so it may be some time before I get to really test it out.

You're right you know. I didn't even think of those when I was looking at it.

A tool did open up the MC4 connectors
Your chubby fingers wouldn't have gotten in there though

I’ve got a kings blanket if you want to compare it as well

@@DENMONKEY Thanks mate. Would be interesting to see a comparison video between 2 cheap linked panels / blankets v one expensive one ?
Thats pretty good almost 10 amps (117w / 12v) out of a 120w, I only get that out of my fixed 200w panel
Me too. I've got a couple of 200w panels and this thing was beating them. Solar is a real crap shoot ain't it.
I was getting 10amps out of my king's folding 160watt solar panels. And it's over 6 year's old. That was 2 day's ago.
Thanks for sharing 👍😎
