grown-ish Season 4, Episode 11 | Ana Must Make a Difficult Decision | Freeform
www.youtube.co...
That dude did a hit and run! He was driving knowing he was undocumented! He would have been in trouble had he gotten pulled over too! What he did to Anna was way worst! What if she had gotten hurt? He would have still drove off! Decisions have consequences and you have to live with that despite your circumstances
PLEASE give us MORE of plots like this!!
Way better than dealing with boring and repetitive Zoey and Aaron romantic crap
Nah, they need plots like this with a way better tie-in because this storyline came out of nowhere, and ended within 1 episode 🙄
The question becomes what does she believe his punishment should be for hitting her? If it’s jail time then turn him in. If u want to see him do community service or something talk to him one on one and work something out 🤷🏽♀️.
Another question. Who is going to pay her medical bills? If the boy is not taken as the criminal who is gonna be responsable of what happened?
@@march.286 I mean people who are hit by ppl with no insurance still wind up paying for their own medical bills in some way. Either out of pocket or through your own insurance.
@@march.286 now thats another case all in itself, a civil case . civil matters are only worth it if they have it to pay.
I think the lesson he would take from this would serve him better. Kicking him out of the country can uproot his life but maybe letting him stay and learn, might make him a better person. But honestly, great conversation
Wtf. Kicking him out of the country. U spoiled huh
FYI your wrong he gets away with it studies show 7-10 people who commit a crime are more likely to do it again if they get away with it. Long and short of it his immigration status shouldn’t matter he broke the law he needs to pay. To many liberals wanna give criminals a break it needs to stop. Stricter laws need to be put into effect
@@Whofuckencares808 and if it was your kid, that got hit and run, by this undocumented person, you'd still be okay with him getting away with it? It doesn't matter if you spoiled or not... the fact that the victim could have been seriously injured,... I don't know with you, but that ain't gonna be alright with me...
@@meisterigi007 Getting away with it? No. But I can’t say I would want him deported.
I am totally against putting people in the system unnecessarily. Prison is graduate school for criminals. I'd want to be sure people who are sent there are there because there is no other way to protect society from them. This kid is far from lost - at least as described.
True.
Here, there was a comedy sketch at nights, and one of them was an ad about "criminal education".
The funny thing is they said "made your posgrades around the world, from new york to paris".
LOL, they knew once inside a national prison, the doors for international crime were opening.
The sad fact is the show was BEFORE 2000
You wouldn't be saying that when you learn most of the illegals are the cartels.
This was so dumb, he did a hit and run he should of been dealt with the consequences. He knew he was undocumented and still drove with a suspended license and an uninsured car and ran a red light after doing a hit and run. Actions have consequences, now he’s free to probably do worse just because he’s undocumented doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be punished. My cousin died last year because of a hit and run so this episode pissed me off.
Just goes to show how the justice system isn't about providing justice to the victims. Ana doesn't want to deport the kid, but of course what she wants doesn't actually matter even though she is the one that was hurt. I wished our justice system actually centered victims and what they actually need when they have been harmed. That should be the main takeaway from this conversation
The negative comments come from white people like you that beat the system when you're faced with a serious problem.
@@calm1047 ??? Must be a bot.
We should have had more of this and less of the needless mellow drama.
Yeah.
For youngster drama, just look the hacks of facebook/whatsapp/other social media accounts, or even just news.
It was going WAY downhill with all the boy drama we do not care about. It's 2022 lol. Relationshipa can't be the center of the drama lol
Victims deserve remedies. He deserves to be held accountable for his actions.
She can always sue him in a civil case for personal injuries.
@@Silly_u1908 useful when they have a lot of money . if they don’t have much it’s not worth it.
@@karmicobsession1636 Not necessarily. You can place a lien over anything the person owns, including bank accounts, cars, homes, etc. The lien will exist as long as the amount remains unpaid. If he is not deported, all of his future wages will be garnished until the debt is paid. Anna seems like the type to likely just sue for him just for the medical expenses and not pursue for noneconomical damages like pain and suffering.
@@Silly_u1908 you can't really "own" anything if you are illegal.
@@earthstar7534 if he gets a legal job she can garnish his wages.
Unpopular opinion: The system targets minorities and undocumented people, and is extremely flawed.... But I actually agree with Javi. Imagine if this happens again, this time it's an 8 year old on a regular scooter and dies. My issue with the message is that it insinuates that certain convictions should trump the good of public safety, and I definitely wouldn't want someone to get deported because I dropped the dime on em, but I'd also feel a lot worse if I saw the same face in the news a few months later facing manslaughter rather than a hit and run.
The opinion isn't unpopular.👍😀😃
Agree.
And the fact is the system was created with exceptionalism/manifest destiny in mind, just like thanksgiving.
No wonder some TRUE AMERICANS (ancestors lived in north america way before mayflower) are not surprised by trump nor the capitol assault, which this week republican want to LEGITIMAZE.
Exactly. I get it. Some people are here for a better life but your present should not put native and legal residents at risk.
You can say the same thing about any Americans! Jonathan Parker a white privilege young man.
Well people I’ll tell ya what on one side my family has been here before the mayflower as someone pointed out and on the other my grandfather is from Portugal and guess what he came here legally !! I know that offends you liberal types someone following the law !! I so I am in a unique position to speak on this topic crossing our borders is a crime simple as that to many people have died at the hands of these criminals ( yes I said criminals) because some are coyotes drug dealers drug mules criminals trying to evade a crime they’ve done there and compounding the crimes by coming here and hey they may even be some poor sap who just wants a better life who gets behind the wheel of a car drunk and kills someone point is if they hadn’t came here an American citizen would still be alive. Forgiving a small infraction more often then not leads to a larger one down the road. Remember that popular saying give em an inch they’ll take a mile where do you think it came from wake up. Removal is the least that needs to happen. And hell yes if I found em breaking the law I’d report them and be grateful they were found and removed it’s not heartless our wrong to want your family to be safe from criminals
Crime..key word.. hit and run. Lucky she wasn’t hurt more than she was. Sorry, not sorry. Identify his a$$. The next person he hits, might not live.
Report him...shouldn't be driving if he's undocumented for exactly these types of situations. There's no responsibility on his end for any wrongdoing in any type of situation requiring paperwork to be filed. Which is how the system works.
I see it from both points because if it happened to me I would want him to pay for what he did to me documented or undocumented but on another hand I wouldn’t want to get him kicked out of the country
Listen, lost both parents in one day in one moment because of an unlicensed, undocumented driver. It was his 3rd issue with driving violations until he eventually drove drunk and killed people.
Law is the law. A hit and run can kill people. Busses, taxi's, Uber, lyft, bikes, skateboards tons of options to get around. If you already broke the law to be in the country you shouldn't be openly breaking more and more.
If he's 17 he shouldn't be deported for what I assume we're his parents crimes. People brought as children shouldn't be allowed to be deported. That's not who broke the law.
Ana needs to be with vivek
Another solution is ana does not report the undocumented guy BUT makes vivek beat the crap out of him
Had Zoey or Jazz been the ones ran over they would have told the police it was him, I only see Aaron and maybe Vivek actually lying to save the boy. The rest tho? Hypocrites lol
@@Ennui83 they would have said the boy did it, but told Ana not to
I would have identified him. This type of thing happens too often to be ignored.
Well she had one thing right, there is no right decision here. It sucks for her either way.
He did something wrong and he should faces the consequences, otherwise he may not learn his lesson...
This is an easy fix, Now the good answer would be the ID the man and let the law decide his fate. However, we live in a grey world, So if she is conflicted on to turn him in or not. Find 3-4 guys find the guy and get your payback in blood. This way you both have committed a crime and he won't tell for obvious reasons and call it even.
I like the way you think👏😁
Don't ID him but sit down with him in person and have a chat.
I would be stuck on this issue too. I'm Latina and I would be a hypocrite if I decided to do something against the person who hit me. I wouldn't want to be responsible for sending a person away from their family.
This reminds of many latinos living in USA, not knowing many countries where they came from become more unstable thanks to CIA and red scare.
Actions have consequences
If I was her I would say no that’s not the person but I would have a little chat with him about driving
The problem is if he ever does again a hit and run you are now responsable for the next victim.
Wow thats a good one
i’m all for equality and shit, but no matter the age, gender, or background a person has everyone should be punished for something they did wrong🤷🏻♀️ if it was a white guy she would have sent him to jail but because he’s hispanic she didn’t, so god knows what she would have done if he was arab or asian or black.
The boys race didn’t matter it was the fact that he was undocumented which meant if he was confirmed guilty, he would be sent back out of the country to who knows what troubles made him leave.
@@kaliahmorris7169 He knew that while attacking her. He was aware of the risk and yet pursued. He made his bed now he should lie in it.
Right. He was undocumented, had a suspended license and ran a red light right after. Like I get it but what if she died. If he didn’t want to be sent back to his country he should have gotten her legally
@@kaliahmorris7169 nah it was about race him being undocumented was the cherry on top for her. She said the reason she didn’t say anything was because she saw a lot of minorities walk into the station that day. And wouldn’t he have been sent back anyway because they knew he was undocumented when he ran the red light?
@@itsyaaveragegirl he’s 17. He was a kid with no choice in whether “he came here legally” because his parents chose for him.
If illegal immigration wasn't a problem then this wouldn't be a non issue just look at the problems that arise from it.
Didn't they hate the Police a few episodes ago lmao.
