I would especially like to hear it played in various styles, not just clawhammer. Some basic 2 finger and 3 finger would be nice to hear on this banjo.
I'm not ready for a banjo of this quality and price point yet (as I've JUST started learning), but holy crap I learned a lot from this video. Glad I watched it.
Are nylgut strings safe to use on this banjo? This is the one I like most so far, but I know I prefer nylgut strings. If not, is there a different banjo that your brand offers that can accept nylgut strings? Is it in the same price range?
Sometimes getting it is what makes you better. Especially with musical instruments that are built well and are designed to help you get better with the use of quality parts, great tone and comfortable feel.

Just bought mine from Elderly! So excited to get it.

I agree I was hoping to hear it played ?///
Iv had mine a couple of years but the neck is starting to bow. It’s still playable but it’s getting close to its end.
Let us know more at info@deeringbanjos.com. We would be happy to help!
I'm curious, why are there no truss rods ?
Anyone bought one of these yet and find a good fitting case? The 12inch makes it a tad difficult to find a decent priced case.
How come it doesn't t have the trust rod?

Nylgut strings are safe to use on the Goodtime Americana!
Would have been nice to hear them struck one after the other so we could actually hear the difference...after all, that's the important part.
