how to change dimensions from inches to mm after creating drawing in autodesk inventor? For eg. I was draw 22 inche circle. How to convert 22 inche circle to 22 mm circle without deleting sketch?
@@AutodeskInventorTutorials the sketch dimensions change to mm but the annotations at the part level remain in inches, how to fix that? Tried adding an additional annotation it still displays in inches even though the document settings have been changed to mm? On a separate note how would you display both mm and inches for selected annotations? Thank you.
Hi @MumtiTV, Good question! Annotations are slightly different as they are locked according to the pre-set annotations Standard. You can change this by going to: 'Tools' --> 'Document Settings' --> 'Standard' and then switch the 'Annotations Active Standard' in the drop down to either 'ASME' or 'ASME mm' depending on which units you want for your annotations. Your annotations will then change to the according units. For displaying both imperial and metric units for annotations, as far as I am aware this is not possible as the units are locked in to the annotations standard. If I find a way around this I will let you know, likewise, please let me know if you find out how. Thanks MumtiTV 👍👍
Hi @Amir, Can you give more details as to the issue? What is it that the error message states? When you say the program 'stopping working' do you mean that the software is crashing? Are you running an unlicensed version of Inventor? What year is the software? Is your machine to a specification that can operate Inventor software?

Hi @King Md! When you are in the Sketch, go to 'Tools' --> 'Document Settings' --> 'Units'. Here, you can change the document units from inch to mm 👍👍

where is this iin inventor professional 2023? I can´t find any kind of general settings in this shitty prgram
