I was amazed by the dual control when your pupil didn’t anticipate how much room a bus need to turn left into a road. The reason for stop is because it is a sharp corner? I am really looking forward to your video. Would it before next Friday? I got undue hesitation in progress in my last test. When I looked at the mirror check the speed and distance of car behind me, I hesitate when to change lanes in heavy traffic. Any idea how to improve that? Also my approach speed to a junction may be too slow or too quick . Any idea of how to judge when approaching different types of junction.
Hiya thanks for the questions. Yes the stop was because of the sharp turn, if they'd have gone any further the bus couldn't have got around. With junctions just look to see if its open or closed. our video on junctions covers that, open is one without buildings bushes or brickwork - if its clear you can go. Closed is one with buildings, bushes and brickwork, if you can't see whats coming you need to go very slow or stop. We will try and post a video on the mirrors 😀
@@DriverTrainingLtdThanks a millon for briefing videos, and I passed my test yesterday, and make notes for every points you mentioned. Only two minors perfect on mirrors🎉
Great Video Again! I have a question, I have a pupil struggling with steering, tried all sorts of exercises, even turn in the road ( which they can do) but steering round Left turns is a nightmare. any suggestions? anyone lol?
Hiya, are they going wide or hitting the kerb? - if the hands moving on the wheel aren't a problem, have you tried a focal point - point of turn - (kerb in the bottom left corner of the windscreen) and then tell them how much to turn - Normally 1/2 turn to the left 😀
@@DriverTrainingLtd Yeah, tried the focal points and even shared control to allow them to see exactly where to turn and how much. It varies from too little to wildly turning the wheel back and forward. I've been an ADI on and off since 1993 and this i'm finding challenging. Thanks for the suggestions, I will keep trying different things lol.
@@dospalmascb yep thats all you can do, we had a pupil who spent 6 hours just trying to turn left - we likened it to him riding his bike and turning the handle bars, turning a shopping trolley in the supermarket but to no avail.
Really helpful, thanks so much. The best video I have watched on this topic. Hope there will be another episode on this topic in the future. Keep up the good work!
