    Science: Melting Snow Experiment
    • Purpose: Explore the concept of melting and changes in states of matter.

    • Steps:
    1. Place an ice cube in a bowl.
    2. Time how long it takes to melt at room temperature.
    3. Discuss what happens and why.
    • Scripting: "What do you think will happen to the snow (ice) if we leave it out? Let’s watch and see! Why do you think it melts?"
    Reading: Rhyme Detective
    • Purpose: Enhance phonological awareness by identifying rhymes.
    • Materials: List of rhyming word pairs, blank paper, markers.
    • Steps:
    1. Read rhyming word pairs aloud.
    2. Ask children to repeat and draw a picture for each pair.
    • Scripting: "Listen to these words: 'night' and 'bright.' Can you say them with me? Let’s draw a picture of what these words make us think of!"
    3. Ask children if they can come up with any more words that rhyme with the introduced word.
