They spam vanishing assault because it’s bugged and causes you to drop your combo when you’ve got them in the blender. The player base is easily the worst thing about this game, and the dragon ball community in general.
It needs to be fuxed firts of all, it's the dev's fault the game is like this. The player base is bad, sure, but if the devs don't do anything to fix the game then it's their fault. And so far, they have. But not to the greatest extent.
Yup, even as a dbz fan seeing such toxic and annoying people especially in the games like Dragon ball Legends or Sparking Zero. There are really infuriating ppl in this community but if you ignore them the show is enjoyable and so are the games

It is what it is, though. Until it gets patched, I’ll continue to be disappointed in the unsportsmanlike conduct the community exhibits. Even if the game ran perfectly all the time, the online community at large would find something else to abuse. They seek these things out for the sole purpose of abusing them sometimes. Every online gaming community I can think of has similar issues with hackers, modders, exploiters, DDOSers, and the like, which is why I invested in a VPN, but the dragonball community is kind of next level with the childish behavior. Things like rage quitting, abusing capsules, over reliance on meta cheese strats, and the vanishing assault glitch reflect more on the players than the devs in my opinion.

Argin if u see ur combos dropping with your character punching the air, is because the opponent is exploiting the bug where u can keep spamming the vanish assault to make the opponent combo drop. Is confimed a bug, me and my friend tested together and i can confirm it is a exploit.
I'm only 12 minutes in, but you mentioned you should have teleported behind your opponent, but it's actually putting you in front of them. Instant transmission skill will put you behind them, Instant Transmission kamehameha will put you in front of them like goku did to cell in the anime
That's what ki blasts and throws are for man, if anything they should massively buff the throw damage in this game but there's definitely ways to play around perception spamming.
ssj2 z end goku is great but i love his ssj1. decent kit but the ultimate move being instant transmission kamehameha is really underrated imo, still not expected by many. and ssj1 victory line “sorry about that…” is so tuff

It was the same way in Tenkaiachi 3. It wouldn’t make sense to let us play Goku in the Saiyan Saga with the ability to transform into Super Saiyan, use instant transmission, or use the large spirit bomb since he couldn’t do any of that during that time. It’s actually smart for them to include different versions of Goku for different parts tbh
SSJ2 is definitely one of the worst Goku form in the game. His presence in End Goku is awkward between SSJ's unblockable ult + Wild Sense and SSJ3's same kit for better damage due to being higher DP (and staggering Giants)

doubt you'll see this, but every time you gut punch, you always dash to the side then combo.. makes the super counter a bit easier to pull off
I pop ssj2 or 3 during sparking right after a combo to try and sneak some extra damage and some defense in :3
