Can we finally beat the butter cookie tin sewing kit assumption by now putting actual COOKIES in this tin that looks like it’s for SEWING? OMG!! The minds of grandchildren will never be the same!! 😂
When pressing velvet, take another scrap piece of velvet, place it on top of your piece your pressing -napside facing napside. The velvet will push into each other and support each other. It will not crush.
I’m so excited but I couldn’t decide between the white or the black. So I ordered both.😊 I’m so naughty Santa might not come lucky I ordered my own Xmas presents. Once again you have put together a beautiful kit with many ideas. Thanks for all you do.
Not a fan of velveteen, but I totally want to do the embroidery as part of advent, and then figure out what to do with them all. hahahaha. This is another gorgeous kit. Love the colors of the embroidery, kind of a scandi vibe.
I was finally able to purchase the kits! Yay! Thank you for offering this beautiful kit! I'm still learning to hand stitch but know the tutorials are going to help me greatly in completing this quilt.
So awesome!!!! I haven't done embroidery in years. My mom taught me when I Was young along long time ago. Love all of this. Thank you so much. Looking forward to seeing more. 🙏👏👏👏🎄❄
I absolutely love these kits… so sad I live in Australia 🇦🇺 where it gets to 40degrees at Christmas.. Could make one in cottons tho.. I’ve just found this channel, and am loosing so much beauty sleep streaming your channel non stop.. keep up the wonderful sessions.. Helen from Sydney Aus.
Yes, you do need to make sure the velveteen is going the same way. When making curtains you need to have the smooth side down so your curtains don't collect the dust.
Can you pretty please 🙏 ask them to do a close up of the quilting when you show the back. We never see the actual quilting 😢😅. Thanks bunches. Love ❤️ you. Love ❤️ your enthusiasm and Love ❤️ Love ❤️ Love this project!!
I think Cherie should join the girls on a few tutorials. Her embroidery is Beautiful she could do with Natalie. And then her tiny things she could do with Misty. Not every tutorial but just a few would be nice.
Another thought about velveting when you iron it you have to remember to go the same way as the pile on the fabric. Avoid ironing the front. Steam iron is best and also better from the back.
I ordered Ingrid’s Wildflower kit from Amazon as I was worried about any additional taxes/charges being applied here in the UK but just be aware that you cannot have access to the MSQ digital library for the extras. Still love the kit though 😊
Cotton velveteen, next to wool, is my favorite fabric of all time. Regarding nap... if it's a garment, I want the nap to be smooth when I run my hands from body towards my legs. I would say this is the same with a lap quilt. Orient the nap so it's smooth when you run your hands down. If it's the other direction, it will be rough every time you run your hands down. You REALLY don't want that. Ask me how I know. You also dont want a mix, that will also show and also feel weird to the hands.
Of course I want a different color, I would like the fabric you used . I would like white with red sashing any chance you sell the fabric in yardage if so what do I order? then I would love the black velveteen as backing I see I can order that.
I am so sad that there aren’t any white kits. My daughter and I were out shopping today trying to find the supplies to do a quilt just like this but I didn’t find everything I needed 😢

I wish the peel and stitch designs were available separately or as an iron design so more than one project could be made. I love the designs!
You could possibly trace them
When you purchase the kit, you receive a digital download of the designs in 3 sizes. You can print them on the peel and stick paper.
Oh my, now everyone will want a velveteen quilt after seeing these ones.
Hope the kit shows up soon. I think this will be wonderful to do. Can't wait
This would make the cutest Christmas ornaments as well. Mini hoops ❤
I would have been happy if I could have just ordered the kit now.
You can order it now! I just ordered mine.
Pres from the back on a towel. Dew cute! ☆
How beautiful! Love the velveteen look, but the white is also beautiful. Thank you Jenny and Natalie!
I have finished my Ingrid's throw quilt and love the embroidery process. Just ordered the Christmas kit and am excited to try it.
wow i love both the velvet and the linen
Ok, you know I'm gonna get this kit! Loved doing Ingrid's.
Pressing on a towel with some thickness, helps to keep the nap & stitches full & not flattened!,
Love this new kit. Definitely will order tomorrow!
I’m definitely going to have to get this!!

That is a great tip!! Thank you for sharing!
What a sweet surprise. I look forward to the kit release. Great preview.

I have a feeling there will be more than a few embroidery items in the Christmas Box. I like that pink on black contrast. 🥰
Love the ideas. Thanks for the fun preview. Looking forward to the release.
Woo-hoo... found it and got it ordered!!!
Fabulous. Love it!!! I put this on my Christmas List. 🥰
Hi Jenny and Natalie. I am watching from India. Natalie you are looking gorgeous. I love all your blocks.
Not a fan of velveteen, but I totally want to do the embroidery as part of advent, and then figure out what to do with them all. hahahaha. This is another gorgeous kit. Love the colors of the embroidery, kind of a scandi vibe.
Just ordered the embroidery kit and fabric kit. Thank you both for such a gorgeous start to the holiday season!!!

In my cart now. Can't wait to get started. Does the velveteen fray and leave residue and lint?
I use a pressing cloth any time sewing a fabric with a sheen or nap like wool, velvet or satin. Just a spare cotton block works great.😊
First comment, just a lovely project
So excited to get this. Ordered yesterday.
Hopefully the kits will be available soon!
I want one of these kits. So beautiful.
I can't find the kit on the website.

How do you remove the peel and stitch from the velveteen?
Can it be washed or do you dry clean once you start using it?
Really beautiful.
It is a wash away. Just rinse it in water, and it dissolves away
Cant find the kit. When will it be available
This is amazing! When will it be available?

When will this be available? Loved seeing the video

Tula Pink did a tutorial for EPP, and that’s where I learned about the thread
😢 I’m hoping to buy this kit, I been searching!
I wish I could purchase just the pattern book that comes in the tin. 🥺

I can't find on your website where to order the Tin can kit...tysm
Natalie is your tutorial on your embroidery 101, that encompasses the stitches needed for this project?
❤️

When will the kits be available??
When will this kit be available?
Will this thread also work with punch needle? I'm wondering because I really want to start doing punch needle.
Obviously, a hiccup since the links to the kits aren't available.
I think you forgot to put the link for the embroidery videos on this. Could you please add it?
Are these kits unavailable or are the links wrong?
Where do we find the backing for the black velveteen quilt kit?
Is this sold out already?
No
I just ordered mine
So upset that kit isn't available.
I am so sad that there aren’t any white kits. My daughter and I were out shopping today trying to find the supplies to do a quilt just like this but I didn’t find everything I needed 😢
What is that hole for in the needle threader? This was a question at a recent retreat I attended.
I gave up hand embroidery due to arthritis. Any chance you could digitize rhe pattern for machine embroidery?
What size are the two hand sewing needle?
No link for tutorials
If you click on the name of the channel and go to Playlists, there's a playlist named "Embroidery by Missouri Star"
@@hze1234 I didn’t see the stitches on the velvet with the paper
How are you quilting over your embroidery?
Looking for the RUclips link to the stitches??
It’s called Embroidery 101 on the MSQC RUclips page
No, hit the more button to buy
Why get people excited then disappointed when kit is not available?!!
Exactly!
Soooo sad they did that to us!!!! Shame on MQC
😢
I bought mine yesterday
HOW?? I looked and can't find it!😢@@ginajacquesfitness3723

Disappointed that this kit is not on there site.
