You are NOT dumb. You simply, 1) didn't have the correct tools and 2) simply no idea how the rug was hooked down. I think you are doing a great job! Taking that loveseat out and not giving up....2 thumbs up!
Leah thank you for sharing your journey with your supporters. May God keep you on the right path. Where ever life takes you keep grinding and you will get there.
My husband and I had a travel trailer we heavily used that we bought previously owned. We rung out the RV on a cross-country trip. We learned a few things. First, the ceiling fan/windows are often cracked by weather and occasionally tree limbs. Second, the roof must be inspected every year along the seams and edges. Third, buy the conditioner the treat rubber seals on all slides. Crawl under the slide when it is out. Clean those rubber seals, rinse, dry and lubricate. 4th, toilets in RVs lose their seal around the ball more than you would think. Even winterized, RV toilet seals wear out. Watch that sink and faucets. We replaced most of the faucets and lines because they were plastic to save weight in the original construction. Those things may save you water damage. We never had window problems, but I am sure that happens too.
If your going to live in it. Make sure you invest in thick mdf boards with insulation (you used on the kitchen floor) as skirting surrounding your home 16:48 glued to the backside of the boards to keep the underside pipes warm from freezing in the cold winter weather. Also wrap your water pipes coming in and going out.
You're brothers are so kind for helping you out! How lucky you are to have so many brothers, and sisters and have a close relationship with them all !!! 😊
Your brothers are the bomb! You are so blessed that they will help you. My brother would never do what they do. 😢 Can’t wait to see it finished. All your hard work will pay off!! ❤
I love, love, love remodeling/renovation videos. They always inspire me to do more creative things around my home. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, Leah. You are inspiring this grandma to do more.
As a mother of 3 under 4 and in dallas i would really like to get an insight in how your parents raised yall and your childhood. Yall aree all so productive members of society and i would only hope to instill high values and will into my children as your parents. Please whats there secret 😅 goo leah!
Start early letting them help you. It won't always be perfect and you have to be patient. But that's what my parents did. I was always helping them. I usually screwed or unscrewed everything. Sweeping, but they showed me how, not to kick up dust but collect material on the floor. Now I can do anything, or figure out how to do it. I am teaching my kids the same way. Really requires the parents to have a lot of patience. Especially if you are a perfectionist. If you redo it, which you might have to as they learn, don't do it in front of them. And whatever you do, praise them not just for a good job, but tell them why. "I am so impressed with how you kept the screw straight. That's not easy. You did a great job of cleaning. That's important when you are working to keep your area free of debris." Hope that helps!
I just started watching. Thank you for sharing. I just wanted to say you guys are doing a good job. If you get a chance to look there are so many different storage ideas out there so don't throw your stuff away. different closet hangers and such. Even bathroom over-the-toilet cubby's and things like that. I am so excited about stuff I found for my camper.Great job everyone.
First video I watch and I will be back ...why. wouldn't I got a few laughs from it.....one you say I did that too when you brother hit the ceiling. you taking out the hideaway bed in the couch was hilarious. congrats on getting it out by yourself
Thank you for sharing your new home and all the tender loving care given to create this home. I'm blessed how your brothers helped in their spare time. ❤
I felt that bonk to your head lol! Well done on your hard work cuz you certainly ain’t work shy that’s for sure. Amazing work so far and good luck on the rest. Go careful and don’t over do it. Love Debbie in Bristol uk xx
I’m really enjoying watching this journey! My husband, toddler, and i have been living full time in our camper for almost 2 years now, it has its own set of challenges but we love it and it’s helped us save up money for a future home. I look forward to renovating ours one day!
Girrrrrl all I hav to say is What I've always said in Life " WHERE THERE'S A WILL THERE'S DEFINITELY A WAY" an You're Handling everything for your age Like a bad A Boss 🎉🥳🥂👏👏 Goooo Leah 😅 I'm here for it 🥰
girl i love this series!!! i feel like we're seeing a new side of you & more of your personality and its so likeable!!! do more long form content like this please
I'm loving that your helping and not just expecting it to all be done and trying to learn as you! Will make it even better that once it's done you will have taken part in literally building your home ! And hey you tried! Thats all that matters your not dumb just tried to make due with what you had
You are freaking wonder woman!! Such an inspiration to see you tearing up the carpet and taking stuff off of walls.gives me confidence to try it. Sending love from Santa Rosa CA
I have just come across your RUclips channel, I have subscribed, can I say you are so organised and so kind, how great doing your sisters room, I need someone like to organise me, but I am in Australia. Cannot wait to see your camper all done ❤️😊
I’m amazed at you young lady 👏👏👏👏👏Bravo for such dedication and determination to get it done. A special thank you to your wonderful brothers 👏👏👏. Family love is awesome. I subscribed today all because of your hard work. A crow bar is your friend 😂. One more thing guys make everything look easy
Good luck with the Reno work Leah 😍 just a thought: if you buy a mic 🎤 to attach to your sweatshirt, your voice will be crisp while recording in and out of the camper. Good luck 💪🏻
I rarely comment on anything but I need you to know it's OK to be proud of yourself 🖤 That's hard work & you persisted. I think that's really admirable. I just started following your journey. I'm excited to see where life takes you.
Wow its been a big job so far! Just wanted to say make sure to caulk around all the exterior windows too! The caulk wears down on those every couple of years and needs to be redone. It might be part of the water damage issue you are finding.
Great job and such good brothers. You should wear eye protection and gloves and be cautious of the air quality ripping up the old carpet and flooring. Keep up the good work. ❤
Yay! It’s here!!!! I have been checking daily for pt 2! I just started the video and I am so excited and honored to embark on this journey with you! ❤😊 Im rooting for it!
Its good to see how you think outside the box. Now spray foam the side walls or use other insulation sealed, as well as the bottom and underside in the "basement" as well as get some lift jacks for long term stay versus the ones found on the unit.
Unfortunately the carpets on the slide outs have to be glued down so that they don't wrinkle up and prevent the slide out from sliding in. I hope that helps☺️
I knew there would be a full with how the shorts ended 😉 i am completely enjoying this journey!! I cant wait to see the final process AND to see my gurl living her own best life ❤️🥰🙏🏽
Awesome job. Amazing brothers. Please wear safety glasses to protect your eyes, safety gloves when working and a mask when cleaning. 🎉 Congratulations 🎉
Alot of the camper furniture they put inside Before they close the sides, we were told that if you ever need a new fridge, they have to take the slide out out in order to get the fridge out, and put a new one back in. Best wishes.
You are NOT dumb. You simply, 1) didn't have the correct tools and 2) simply no idea how the rug was hooked down. I think you are doing a great job! Taking that loveseat out and not giving up....2 thumbs up!

I can’t wait to see the end! Camper living is a minimal possession situation but being a solo person will give you more space.
