They literally had to fly that Airbus to and on the runway. Airline pilots are true professionals, they have an awesome responsibility from wheels up to wheels down, to me that's the best job in the world!!!!! The view of the Swiss Alps after takeoff was incredible!!!! HEY, everyone is driving on the wrong side of the highway..............
I always hate turbulence and dread landing conditions like these but top marks to the cockpit crew for their professional work ensuring everybody was safe and could arrive at their destination the second time around.
The Swiss cockpit-crew took a very professinal job during this flight. Very nice and somehow symphatic cabin-welcome announcement after touch-down in LHR
Excellent video thanks! Judging by the little lake before landing the second time, the wind had dropped quite a bit. BTW hardly any cars in the Hounslow Asda carpark - the weather must have kept the shoppers away!
Average Alien flying is the safest. Its very unlikely your plane will crash... It's a fraction of 1 in 2 million. And if you do crash it's a fraction of 1 in 11 million that you will die during the crash
Little Boy16 Bullshit. 1 in 11million chances of dying if your plane crashes? Are you high? You and I clearly have very different definitions of what constitutes a “crash.”
A touch and go includes a configuration change from landing to T/O configuration. This was rather a go around with ground contact. ;) However, very impressive and nice catch!
Flying from Sydney Australia to Wellington NZ September weather was bad. Took the pilot 3 attempts to land before giving up and redirecting the flight to Auckland
Awesome vid, thanks for sharing! Do you have (or can point me towards) a similar full video of an aborted and successful takeoff? (from on board or the ground) Please! Thanks!! 👍✈️✈️
Undoubtedly they discussed go-around procedures but I doubt they were expecting to ding their landing gear quite so hard before having to implement it.
I've flown a lot but have never heard engines make such a buzzing sound. They seem obnoxiously loud too, although I guess that could be the phone's recording.
Depends where you’re sat & the type of aircraft. If you’re in front of the engines it’s louder if you’re behind it you won’t hear it. Completely normal for any airbus with this type of engine though.
That one event probably cost the airport a hundred thousand pounds or more. London Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, and if there's ever any delay in landing or departure, there's knock on effects for the rest of the day.
Didn't exactly land, it bounced. And in the wind, still very unstable. Much safer back in the air than not being in control on the ground or near the ground.
on first touch down the engine throttle was at near idle position, then the pilots decided to initiate a go around, and full throttle was applied. thus the engine made a hell of a noise in full acceleration. the aim of a go around procedure is to climb as fast as possible.
This videographer has to be commended for this film. Resolutely staying with the action, no panic. 10 out of 10!
Jeffrey Morris i know right
Bravo indeed, I’d have been up to my knees in my own cow pat
This ain't touch and go this is Hit and run!
tate maibach Dammit man I'm in an office and couldn't help but laugh out loud
Technical term is bounced landing and a go-around maneuver is said to be the best recovery method for it
@@jbreezy101 r/whooooooosh
I would take a shit out of my pants
"Thank you and we hope you enjoyed your stay on board .." .. giggles from the passengers lol
The Takeoff Is 10:20
1st Landing Is 42:46
2nd Landing Is 51:38
Seat belts coming off for the classic mad dash for baggage in overhead bins begins 55:35
Thanks 😂
Excellent video! I love a go around, adds value to the fare.
How?
+Hollyweed Action!
Hollyweed You get more flying time!
extra take off and landing
you normally dont experience TOGA power
Roar of the engines thou
they sound beautiful right
More of a buzzing than roar. Sounds awful.
The only thing I can say is it's where the skill of pilots really shine any landing is a good landing great video
Excellent video, and engine view and roar sound! That’s why I love A321s

On the continent we think the position of our position on the road is self explanatory. It is just right to drive on the right side! :-P
Great job by the pilots.

Awesome video!!! I came here from the landing sequence video. Man that was some bank on the runway!! Glad you all made it out of that one.
Now that first attempt almost took out the landing gear. It don't get much harder than that before the gear collapses . Great video
One hell of a go around! Awesome job by the pilots! Had to be one of the most difficult approaches for them.Great video! Thanks for sharing.
OMGOODNESS!! The landing gear is already on the ground broken in pieces. geeeeez good job pilot
It won't. Any harder and that may happen
Excellent video thanks! Judging by the little lake before landing the second time, the wind had dropped quite a bit. BTW hardly any cars in the Hounslow Asda carpark - the weather must have kept the shoppers away!
Love the applause at the end. That's how I feel every time my plane lands, even on the smoothest flights.
Landings like that happen a lot due to sudden wind shifts cross winds. This is why pilots are trained to act in these situations great job.
Those CFM's working hard on that approach lol
+JelleNetherlands Try the CF34 on the CRJ 200, they sound like a washing mashine!
Excellent video, loved the go around and bumpy approach, even if you didn't :o)
Love you video's, keep them coming!
Nice film, pilot was very calm
I'm so happy that you landed safely!
its hard to imagine that flying is the safest form of transport in these conditions

@@Jcreek201 Yeah he probably meant average relevant mechanical failures or something
Jcreek201 you have pretty high margins of surviving a plane crash. I heard from a flight attendant that it’s about 80% chance of survival.

+Luca Privatpilot Thank you. They also take time to spool up. Go around was initiated before the touchdown
Just passed by this video again, great stuff!
I've flown this & Swiss Air was GREAT !
Was it just me or did I see a Concorde right before the second landing ?????
yes i saw it 51:42
+Jpr993 Yes, I see a British Airways Concorde, both first and second landing
+Heathrow Aviation Pity she no longer flies!
+Jpr993 And before the first attempt too
Such a marvel of technology. Can't wait for the Aerion Corporation's supersonic business jet.
43:20 sounds to me like it's cpt. Thomas Frick from the PilotsEye.tv series speaking :) or maybe its just me
is tha concorde in the background at 51:42?
Yaakov Salomon certainly is
Yaakov Salomon
yes its a concorde
So sad to see it just parking there....
He's just chillin' there all day and telling exciting grandfather stories from 55k feet above to all the A318 young guns starting their career :b
Yaakov Salomon yep
First landing attempt ends at 43:06, second landing attempt ends at 51:48, gg, one loop takes about 10 minutes
yiu yeung Kan Its Heathrow so no other question. Heathrow is a Busy airport.
Flying from Sydney Australia to Wellington NZ September weather was bad. Took the pilot 3 attempts to land before giving up and redirecting the flight to Auckland
Wah
Good video. nice work.
Second Landing is done perfectly
Would like to see strain gauge readings from that landing gear before putting it back in use.
43:05 AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😱😱😱😱😱
Great pilots clapping for them 👏👏
Great video, little frightening to ! :) why different sound quality sometimes ?
omg first landing which wasnt in poland which people clapped amazing !
We had a big applause and an outbreak of "we're all going on a summer holiday" when we landed in Rarotonga on an Air NZ 777-200
In overcast but still conditions too
Matthew Morison hahahaha that’s hilarious!
Lovely. Thank you.
very good video man! check the engine sound......very nice
Awesome vid, thanks for sharing! Do you have (or can point me towards) a similar full video of an aborted and successful takeoff? (from on board or the ground) Please! Thanks!! 👍✈️✈️
I really mean this very talented crew.
So cute when people clap after the plane lands
xD
Take Me Back to Dear Old Blighty.
Routine for the crew - I `m sure they discussed the possibility already in pre flight briefing in Zürich.
Undoubtedly they discussed go-around procedures but I doubt they were expecting to ding their landing gear quite so hard before having to implement it.

What is it white thing jump flying low at 15:17?
those constantly changing engine sounds were very scary
jschrager23 very soothing in my opinion
Better than the crew NOT moving the throttles in all that windshear
very cool sound for me
wow! that very cold -57 c high 36000 feet
Must be nice for the pilot to make a good landing after that go around
That was crazy
Cockpit must've been crazy... Any ATC recording?
I was the 500th person to like this video! SWEET!!!
why is the glass so dirty? Are those scratches?
I'd be worried if the gear would hold up 2nd time around...
they are made to withstand a 1.5 times load so you can rest easy.. :)
IAE V2500’s?
That one event probably cost the airport a hundred thousand pounds or more. London Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, and if there's ever any delay in landing or departure, there's knock on effects for the rest of the day.
Luckily they didn't lose landing gear at the first attempt.
Look air new zealand at 54:20
kalo di Indo penumpang komplen2 mungkin, disini malah tepuk tangan karena meng apresiasi pilot dan co pilot karena mendarat dengan selamat.
Is that the one with CFM56 engines?
+FlyingMiner Yes
sounds , wow
which app did u use to check the speed?
41:01 last video of hard landing
PC 🤩
why does it sound like a saw at takeoff and afterwards for quite a time?
Full throttle in TOGA mode. In high power settings, the N1 (front) fan in the engine is literally chopping air apart as it sucks it in.
@@haroldlipschitz9301 thanks for that info! And what makes that wobbling sound here? Lowering the frequency.
ruclips.net/video/8eQIVu8HjYk/видео.html
a321 has crashed in rivers and corn fields. No one dies.
He said thank you Mr Boeing.
bet they were happy to get of that airbus lol
Amazing but I dont wanna be on this flight !
I would scream like a girl from fear, no second landing helps if the plane is damaged
People waited to clap after touchdown. Who knows!
I would've had 3 heart attacks!
I notice that
I recon a bit of poo crept out on that approach... just a bit.
I don't understand the round of applause.. this isn't a theatre performance! It's just a plane landing?
it was not even necessary he could land easily because he already hit the ground
Didn't exactly land, it bounced. And in the wind, still very unstable. Much safer back in the air than not being in control on the ground or near the ground.
That’s not how landing works, if you’re unstable the plane will obviously not be in rotational stability and risks toppling or other danger
wut? ain't nobody got time for that
holy sh*t
а потом трещины идут от таких ударов и колеса отваливаются
Why it sounds so horrible????
Not horrible. It's how the engine works.
TheMDGamer true. scary though
Sneha Paranjpe Hehe, nothing can beat the scariness of the IAE v2500! Not even a GE90

An airplane with a cross on it...Gulp!
I'd have been spraying the cabin with vomit.
бортпроводница наварила ведро кутях во второй раз, поэтому молчала!
the sound is all fucked up.

Are you a Female?
+Arjan Sandhu Neutral 😐
It should be illegal to clap when landing
Which app you use for speed?
