I could listen to this for ten hours straight while mindlessly mining in Minecraft. So I will! (crafts an entire shulkerbox of diamond picks to enchant)
I love how u handle the synthesizers used in the prime series I may have requested this many times if u feel like making more super Metroid recreations but can u do Ridley’s theme with Metroid prime instruments I just at least hope u acknowledge the complement to your metroid prime stuff
This is going to be my last recreation for a while because of how difficult it is to make a track sound really close and accurate to the original. Thank you so much for the compliments!
So perfect. You recreate the Metroid Prime Sountracks flawlessly and they even sound better than in the actual games. Any future plans in recreating the Crashed Pirate Ship Orpheon?
Bro this is one of my favorite tracks from video game history, and you've managed to recreate it. Big props to you my man, I've been waiting for this day for a long time
I made a spectrogram of this version and compared it to the original. Here are some differences I found that can also be heard: That Eb to Gb at 1:28 is played legato in the original. The Gb upwards legato of one octave at 1:30 should be linear (its not linear in your version). The legato should also start on the 3rd beat of the 52th measure, instead of finishing the legato on the 3rd beat. Also the vibrato from the Gb note should continue into the Eb instead of stopping. The piano sample at 1:56 is way lower in volume on the original. The piano sample at 2:35 should be played an octave higher. At 3:35 the "F12 Past mind" is way louder on the original. Also the virbato is missing on the Gb note. Same thing at 3:49 for loudness also the Ab is missing vibrato. Also fun fact about this song is it never exceeds 8KHz
This is my favourite track from the Metroid Prime series and I'm so happy you finally did this! So nice to listen to with my headphones, you did an absolutely perfect job recreating it!
It's funny, now that i'm going into electronics engineering, i might actually be able to reproduce these from the ground up using just math and some jury rig shit. You're doing good work dude, these mechanical deep dives are such a blessing for us all.
This is excellent! All of the HD rips of this track online have some clipping issues during parts of the track. I can only assume that's just how it was compressed initially. Good to finally here it perfectly clean!
I understand that it might not be possible but all this research and time you've put into this, you've been a trooper finding all of this out.. it'd be nice if it could be compiled some way. A book might not be multimedia enough.. I don't know, a Wiki? I wonder how much those cost to host (not a Wikia page, heh)
Unknown and I are hoping to have some sort of archive compiled for all this data. I also have a spreadsheet that has all the presets and samples that have been found so far; this will be released to the public soon.
@@JawRaptor Its a great game. But most people whove played prime 1 say prime 2 isnt like prime 1. Go into prime 2 with small expectations. However Prime 2 is my second fav game of all time.
Wow, the recreation is awesome Torvus Catacombs is one of my favorite Ost in metroid Prime 2, love the chill, mysterious and aquatic vibes Very good Job
This is dedication dude. Followed you since years and I've always loved that you allow us composers to use the old, very nostalgic Metroid instruments. Cheers and thank you a fricking lot!!
Geeezums bro. If you hadn't have told me, I would have thought this was the original track. That was insane man. You gotta have a super keen ear to get it just right like that I'm sure.
I just ordered an HDMI Adapter for my GameCube after having that urgent feeling I HAVE to play the Metroid Prime games again. In anticipation went looking for MP music and stumbled upon your interview with an Aussie dude and that then brought me here. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how appreciated your time and effort in making these recreations is! Respect 🙌🏼
SynaMax, if you ever recreate the escape soundtrack from Prime 2, I hope that there is at least a version in which the droning alarm in the background is absent. That's all I got.
I have a question on the korg M3r, is it possible they use the korg m3r for Super Metroid? Funny that I have a Roland d50 one of the patch warm string sounded like Metroid.
My friends and I are trying to get the "past mind" patch working on our microkorg, but we only have the lower split. Do you know how to work around that and get the lead patch to play?
My friend "unknown" had to make this Sysex file for me to get the Past Mind whistle to work on the Microkorg. Here you go! www.mediafire.com/file/9tstno8j5kdaun8/ms2000-past-mind-single.syx/file
This is pretty much indistinguishable from the original. You'd need to play them side by side to potentially find any subtle differences and even then it would be tough.
You remembered to include the "pin" sound at 3:46. You're a real one.
Oh my god. This is a *recreation*?! This just made my jaw drop.
I could listen to this for ten hours straight while mindlessly mining in Minecraft.

I always find it impressive to recreate such music, it must require an innate talent for detail🤯

@@SynaMax ok that’s understandable lol maybe you’ll do it some day who knows your synth patches videos are so impressive though

I used to go to sleep to this song. Glad to see it on your recreation playlist
They should put that under "epic video game music to help you sleep or relax". 😂
Same. This is THE #1 track I use to fall asleep to, followed by my namesake.
It is very easy to overlook this is not the original version made by kenji yamamoto. I am very impressed 😱
That past mind whistle sounds exactly like the whistle I heard in the original Ben 10 transformation sequences. It's just that good.
You went all in on this.
I can't imagine the months of hours it takes to get the sound just right.

Holy crap, the visuals tell another story here.
I'm confused what you actually did, maybe I need to listen with headphones. This is so accurate to the MP2, that it just sounds like uncompressed OST.
everytime I listen I tear up
This sends chills down my spines.
I'm really glad you did this song. This is one of my favorite tracks from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and you did it so PERFECTLY
Cant wait to play it. Not even half way with Prime 1 tho

Excellent recreation, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that this is just a reupload of the original track.
Also...

10/10 you nailed it!
*chefs kiss*
so awesome.
One of my favorite metroid soundtracks of all time! Very nicely done!
And surely enough you recreate a masterpiece in the Metroid series. Beautiful.
Someone needs to make a song and sample this shit. This shit got me levitating.
this is absolutely amazing
I bet this recreation is so close that Shazam would recognize it
I hunger for flac or wav of dis. I HUUUNGER

Incredible work
I love the multiples spectrum views!
As always your work is VERY good. Your attention to details is insane!
Good job!
This made my day! Amazing work right there! 🙂
Mission complete
God
This is just majestic. 🥰
Ooh, I like the new layout!
Unreal
Now I challenge you to do the same on the KORG DS-10 for Nintendo DS!
DUUUUUUUUDE!
Amazing work as always.

I think RUclips may have deleted my dub from you; but, here’s my resub just in case.💙💚❤️🖤😎
lost my mind hearing this
Been waiting to see a video on this since you shared some early versions with me
i absolutely love seeing when you upload. fantastic content video after video :)
I have a question on the korg M3r, is it possible they use the korg m3r for Super Metroid? Funny that I have a Roland d50 one of the patch warm string sounded like Metroid.
Wow
Recently subbed, think you can make an crashed underwater frigate one :D?!?!
Will Magmoor Caverns make an addition?

Is this on Spotify? I would love to add all your Metroid inspired songs
I'm too musically ignorant to notice the difference lol
