I kinda don’t want True to see this comment because I want him to learn this on his own. But just incase you see this True, it’s up to you if you wanna read down or not. It’s important to get basic minions earlier because the elite minions, especially with support ash who heals with every melee attack, can be exploited. In Necromancer, you want to be swarming. Swarming stunlocks the survivors easily. Possession builds aren’t as strong on Necromancer because you lose swarm value by investing points into possession, which means you don’t utilize the Necromancer. Plus swarm means you have better chances of interrupting healing and it means that you can spend a lot more energy at the dagger and pages locations. This is my opinion now, I think Flautist placements are better far away because I prefer playing patiently with a lot of setup. If they need to go out of their way to kill him, you can break up groups and get numbers leverage with more swarm on smaller groups. Clearly you have a very active playstyle so we might just prefer different things because you can utilize the energy income better by spawning him closer so your next portals are queued as soon as possible and your possessions and terrifies can be snappy. I think the healing mechanic needs a rework. The rate of recovering from heavy damage by drinking a potion or standing in someone's 'healing zone' seems WAAAAY too fast. These guys had no problem getting hammered, because they just regained massive amounts of health mid-battle and just keep tanking hits. It almost takes no time putting up the healing zones. I'm reminded by Left 4 Dead's healing mechanic, where you had to strategically time your healing because you are vulnerable to attack and have to rely on teammates to protect you for 5 uninterrupted seconds to get the benefit of the heal. Because of this, it made sense to interrupt their healing and force them to start over and create pressure. What's the window of opportunity to interrupt survivors here? It doesn't seem appropriately rewarded how much the healing is given in this game IMO.

When it comes to trapping chests, I place mini Ash's on common and rare chests, and Ash's hand on very rare and legendary chests. You already usually don't get anything from common chests, so stealing an item is just salt in the wound, whereas with legendary chests, there's no point in placing mini Ash's because there is already a ton of good loot. Plus, Mini Ash's don't steal the items that are in the chest, but rather something the survivor is carrying (usually matchsticks).
You can melee attack faster as survivor by animation cancelling your swing. Just tap your aim key between swings. Should work when you possess them as well. Flute boys buff range is massive as well, like 50 yards almost, you can drop him pretty far away from where you're gonna fight so he doesn't just get instantly murdered.
Won a game with 11 seconds left and yelled out VERY loudly, surprised the neighbors didnt say something. Heart Pounding endings are awesome in this game
Mini Ashes are great because they deal some damage and fear, but they steal some Ammo, Shemp's Cola, or an Amulet. Ash's Hand deals significantly more damage and fear, but that's it (I believe roughly 225 damage). I saw it was about 1/4 of Cheryl Williams' health and she has 900 base.
For necro the best start I've have had is to put 3 in energy first, then I'll go traps to 3 for the elites to spawn out of traps. Lvl up your basic and elites, preferably elite for better elites out of traps. Better to pay 25 for elite than 100. The rest should snowball from there.
People see an asymmetrical horror game and immediately jump onto the "let's compare it to DbD" train. Seriously man. It makes as much sense as comparing WoW and League. Can't we just look at these games as individual multiplayer games and be done with it? Every damn video has those "this is better than DbD" / "DbD is so much more fun than this" comments. They aren't even very similar.
Not trying to tell anyone how to play, but if you want to really thrash the survivors early on or at least really slow them down, heres a suggestion: You ignore your basic units. Those are the first you should be upgrading. Though they are weak, they are faster and more numerous than elites. At a full 5 tier upgrade, you can spawn 3 basic units at once, and if you let the spawn cd reset, you can do a total of 6 of them at once, providing you have full infernal energy. While the survivors are dealing with 6 basic units, you should be gathering more infernal to come back and spawn an elite, hopefully while there are at least 3 basic units left. Then rinse and repeat. Best way I've found to wear survivors health potions down fast. Spawn 6 basics, while they are fighting, gather enough energy to spawn an elite. If you get lucky and you get survivors who just run, you can spawn an elite while you still have all 6 basic units chasing them. Survivors run out of stamina quickly so by the time you can spawn an elite, they are out of stamina and just now dealing with the 6 units they were running from. Spawn that elite and either possess your elite or posses a survivor for an additional temp unit. It's easy for 2-4 survivors to deal with 1 elite. Not so much for even 4 of them to deal with 7 units at once plus any survivors you may have possessed. Or even your boss. The necromancer is best at numbers and overwhelming the survivors. Also, you should try to find the survivors asap instead of setting traps. Though that can come in hand later in game, there's only a chance that the survivors will go to the area you started setting traps. The survivors won't spawn near you, nor will they spawn near the objectives, so keep that in mind when searching for them right off. Your infernal points build faster when interacting with the survivors than just setting a bunch of traps. Though the chests fill your upgrade bar up about halfway so those are awesome when you are in an area with 3 or 4 of the chests.
Best thing to do early game is max out your traps and place as many traps around anywhere you think they might go as possible. It’ll cripple them all the way up until you unlock boss and can start really doing some damage.
I really hope this game sticks! And allows for a new horror game to somewhat compete with dbd, this game seems to have a fun touch to it, then again, it is brand new. Need that longevity factor!
Another thing about the "endgame". If survivors are down when the Dark Ones are destroyed they can't be revived. Even if they were down before they are destroyed.
A game that has a similar play style to dbd, minus the flaws, the main flaw with dbd was people resorting to playing like spineless worms instead of playing the game how it was intended which can’t be helped due to the mechanics, and to get rid of that they’d need to make a game like this, were tactics like face camping for a 1k and bringing a flashlight party to troll a killer won’t be a thing.
Some tips are to not take over cars. It takes a lot of energy and doesn’t do much. The only time I’d do it is to prevent them from leaving just yet cause there’s traps nearby and stuff. Also, if you’re gonna go for possession, you should check out puppeteers since they specialize in that whereas the necromancies specializes in overwhelming the survivors with loads and loads of enemies
It looks like you hadn't noticed but the upgrade points you have left to spend are shown in the top right of the upgrade UI and the number beneath the eyes in the bottom right of the screen. Also, a good strat for your playstyle could be, spawn an elite and then posses someone and double team someone else. Having one less player to help and using randged attacks alongisde a melee skeleton could hurt a lot
Yeah their team comp is probably the ideal one for this game. Maybe just replace AoD Ash for ED2 Ash because his ability can get rid of your possession of players or basic and elite units
these survs are barely even good lmao maybe a three stack max level supports are so broken once you play against enough of them you'll see how cheese being surv is in this game.
Game looks cool, and looks like fun overall; kinda reminds me of Zombie Master from waaaaay back... I won't know until I play, of course, but the actual melee combat looks iffy to me - from what I can tell it's primarily waiting until someone misses an attack, and then it devolves into a button-mashing induced infinite stun-lock, and then you just get hit from every side until you die, lol.
They need to improve the spawn points a bit for events. I had the dagger close to the old ones a few times and was exorcised so far away that by the time I got there they had already killed the old ones. I had zero chance to win after that.
my only problem with this game is the characters clunky long animations. I hate getting hard locked in an animation. Still waiting for a game like this but with Rune's combat style.
I have very mixed feeling about this game i feel like if they keep adding survivor's and demons or maps it could be very good otherwise it could get stale too quick
Have you had the unfortunate encounter of execution stalling? I used finishers on basic minions to stall out solo on necro end phase for almost 2 minutes. Idk that sort of cheese probably wouldn’t work against you but I haven’t seen anything about it on RUclips.
You should really play more survivor to help better your fighting when possessing them, I notice when you possess someone you hardly dodge when engaging melee combat. It can really make of break how impactful your possessions are. Wasting their heals and abilities just before pages or dagger can really slow them down
this game needs to stop being compared to DBD, it's more like friday the 13th if they need be compared. DBD has it's own little charm to it but this game i feel is allot more fun for both sides as it keeps both survivor and killer pretty busy throughout unlike DBD or friday the 13th in that in those games you could possibly not have to run into the killer and there are no NPC's to fight. it's allot of fun and i'm happy with this game untill the cheaters and nerfs come at least :/
The gameplay, while it does look cool and exciting, still seems extremely frustrating for the demon. How many times in this video do you down someone and they get picked up like 5 seconds later? Or you're beating on this one support character with a sliver of life left, they put some green thing down in your face, and then they just WILL NOT DIE? They need to fix this shit so that a well-coordinated team doesn't just stomp your minions and revives instantly in the middle of combat.
They should just have a maximum limit of being downed. Going down for the third time = death. It feels like this games gonna have the same survivor sided problem again.
It really is a cool game. Though I can see it dying off quickly, there isn't enough to it to keep it interesting. There's only 1 demon, and all it does is summon and possess. I dont know enough to talk about the survivors, but right away I don't see enough variation going on to make it not exactly the same game every match.
I like this game. That being said, do we really think it has longevity for a streamer and viewer? Or a DBD contender... It is novel right now. But I don't see the game flourishing at the end of the day. I don't see any particular way to show off great luck or insane skill. No flicking headshot to signal a comeback victory, no crazy chase that ends with a satisfying mindgame. The game has no micro skill 'show offs', and is a culmination of a war of attrition. There are fewer times where this game hinges on a singular moment, that a person would sit at the edge of their seat to wait for a sudden skillful outcome.
@@TrU3Ta1ent True. Saying 'has no micro skill 'show offs'' isn't true at all as that clearly isn't the case, don't know how I let that slip through... In general my intention is there is a greater ability to appreciate a wider range of gameplay elements and skill in DBD (both survivor and killer sides) opposed Evil Dead. Which I wager will be a dominating factor in determining the success/fail in terms of longevity and being able to compete in the same marketspace as DBD. Also not saying it isn't worth investing time and effort to stream/play. This stuff is awesome and is a great watch in general. Just elaborating some observations I see in regards to sniffing out a true contender for DBD. Who knows, maybe there will be this insane meta that crops up that is just so interesting to see games play out.
@@TrU3Ta1ent nearly impossible to do when they counter everything I throw at them, half the time they don’t make a single noise and I don’t find them until they start the page or knife. Even when I do find them and focus one of them it seems like they are nearly invincible sometimes. The knight dude and ash are immortal it seems and they will not die no matter how much higher in level I am. I’m consistently able to kill the 2 others types but it doesn’t matter cause those 2 will just rank through anything I throw at them even maxed hordes of basic skel’s.
Really stupid game in less then 20 seconds match heros found all map parts before I could lay any traps and could unlock any my abilities and burn down my weak demons it's ridiculous how they spawn them all together with indications to find eachother unlike Jason who has a better chance of killing anyone in his horror game i didn't even waste time trying to try kill them but comment how unfair this game is.
Didn't play the game. Just watched the five videos you played with Otz and this one. Looks like the time before the final fight is just a waste of time? (Stage 3+4) The survivors won't get killed if they are not new and very easy to heal back by the healer. Only the final fight the killer have a chance to knock down all of them at a same time.

Groovy!
Keep it up!
Game needs to be balanced with friendly fire
It just came out chill LOL I'm sure you'll have better matches
Hey True I've been really enjoying this game alot been playing the warlord and I kill the last player with the motor boat attack 😆 🤣
You should really play more survivor to help better your fighting when possessing them, I notice when you possess someone you hardly dodge when engaging melee combat. It can really make of break how impactful your possessions are. Wasting their heals and abilities just before pages or dagger can really slow them down
Top 10 game
I love your dead by daylight videos I haven’t seen anything of this yet is it worth to get or dead pretty quick?
this game needs to stop being compared to DBD, it's more like friday the 13th if they need be compared.
Evil ash is to op
Has True determined if this game is better than DBD yet?
The gameplay, while it does look cool and exciting, still seems extremely frustrating for the demon. How many times in this video do you down someone and they get picked up like 5 seconds later? Or you're beating on this one support character with a sliver of life left, they put some green thing down in your face, and then they just WILL NOT DIE?
They need to fix this shit so that a well-coordinated team doesn't just stomp your minions and revives instantly in the middle of combat.
They should just have a maximum limit of being downed. Going down for the third time = death. It feels like this games gonna have the same survivor sided problem again.
Why not get basic portals? Odd
It really is a cool game. Though I can see it dying off quickly, there isn't enough to it to keep it interesting. There's only 1 demon, and all it does is summon and possess. I dont know enough to talk about the survivors, but right away I don't see enough variation going on to make it not exactly the same game every match.
Isnt there 3 demons the knight the fat lady and that radio/static demon?
Damn 30 min video ??? How long are the matches in general? For survivors and demons.
30 max
You still get the stuff in there lol
You do lose quite a bit of health though.
Disagree 1 perfect possession of a survivor with a legendary gun and then some good aim with smart dodges can down a whole team in seconds.
@@solidcell6568 just give it time id say.
No it'll die off it's basically exactly like Friday the 13th with possessions the hype will die off dbd is the better game
@@wreckinhose7906 You do realize Friday the thirteenth died due to licensing issues not because of dbd but due to bugs and no nee content
How is your game so stable? I play for 10 minutes and get "EDtG will now close. Fatal error" ...
I've gotten the same. :/
Whenever I play they stay in one fucking Congo line and whenever I try to fight them they instantly kill any enemy I place or possession on them I do
Its because you let them win the power creep. You need to keep harassing so they don't become to strong
@@TrU3Ta1ent and fsr they can just stunlock me into oblivion whenever I single one of them out.
There's gonna be an army of darkness map
Really stupid game in less then 20 seconds match heros found all map parts before I could lay any traps and could unlock any my abilities and burn down my weak demons it's ridiculous how they spawn them all together with indications to find eachother unlike Jason who has a better chance of killing anyone in his horror game i didn't even waste time trying to try kill them but comment how unfair this game is.
Killer is even easier in this game to win with than DbD.
Didn't play the game. Just watched the five videos you played with Otz and this one.
Looks like the time before the final fight is just a waste of time? (Stage 3+4)
The survivors won't get killed if they are not new and very easy to heal back by the healer.
Only the final fight the killer have a chance to knock down all of them at a same time.
This is about intense as tom Jerry pile of sht
turn your tips off.
I have this was like day 1 lol
@@TrU3Ta1ent thank the Lord.
