@AmberRooster6 forced vibration? You mean if you hit something repeatedly and thus create a frequency of vibration different to the object's natural frequency of vibration (like, if you hit it only once)?
it's much easier to learn when you see it, ask your professor or teacher to let you perform that experiment yourself, if your school carries those types of tuning forks.
Imagine you are sitting on a swing. The frequency of the swing is the time it takes it to swing back and forth. The frequency of the sound is the kicking motion you make with your feet to swing. They need to be matched in order to boost the swing higher and higher.
I'm asking this questions to many video creators-what happens if you have hundreds of passive tuning forks surrounding the one active tuning fork? If every one of them resonates, can that resonance (vibration) be captured, converted, or used in any way? It's a genuine question-my only experience in using sympathetic resonance is as a musician in the context of creating ambience.
Press the numbers in this order: 1,7,2,5 if done correctly you should hear: Move it back and forth to pick up the *DONGG*. Its called resonance Nice explanation professor
"You got it, physics, yay" - Quote of the century.
This dude is the Bob Ross of Physics
twitch should start airing his lectures
I love this guy. I randomly see him on the learning channel. Channel 22 on my tv. Hes the best physics teacher ever! He makes physics fun :D
The hunched/bobbing body posture is eerily similar to the ShamWow guy.
They sped this video up.... We used to watch this guy in Physics class, the best videos ever.
Can you link me the lecture he had over this? I remember there was a longer video but I can't find it.
wait wait wait chuck norris explaining physics now what is going to explode, my monitor, my ears or ?
Took my comment, have a like
chunk Hewitt
Yeah the Prof is CHARISMATIC !
"you got it, Physics, yey!" :)
I'm intrigued by his ideas and would like to subscribe to his newsletter.
i love how enthusiastic this man is!

I had this guy as a teacher in college. Still is my all time favorite teacher outside of Bob Ross.

But why does this happen? Why is it that a certain frequency coming through the air causes an object to vibrate when another one doesn't?
Lol this man is funny!
@Accountmaniac
Ah, you realized something had to be between the antennas to conduct the waves?
Hhaha, damn hippy! This video is so funny, this hippy needs to lay off the wacky tobacky. I just lost some braincells.
My teacher is making me watch all of his videos!
That's physics!
physics yay... yay for being useful... not yay for being failing ur class and ur ap exam
hit the other fork with the mallet at the same time and another frequency will follow
"But you need to order now, cause we can't do this all day"
Just kidding. Nice demo.
here i have a fork of frequency frequency, same same. Watch listen i mean.
SAME SAME!!
@platecalifornia
sound travels faster in solid then air, yes.
Thought the guy in the picture was Chuck Norris. I was wrong..
Awesome, they did this at stone henge with piezo stone drums
Because SCIENCE. Learn it.
OMG IT"S SCIENTIFIC CHUCK NORRIS!
i like d way he says....' its called Resonance ' !
Just 1 minute I can get it more than read 1 hour
yay + double fist pump = "ugh dad leave us alone"
The Hippy Dippy Weatherma...I mean Physicist lol!
my tcher showed us this video in class. so funny!
Chuck?? O.O
Can you link me the lecture he had over this? I remember there was a longer vid but I can't find it.
hmm he doesn't mention about prime numbers
i felt like i just watched a shamwow video
i was all "wtf i understand radios now?!"
@diewitsjonathon LOL you're right there!
i was all "wtf i understand radios now?!
i was all "wtf i understand radios now?!
WHY DOES SPAMMING 1 THEN 2 MAKE ME LOL
Yes, I got it. Thank you.
yum yum physics.
is this is designed for the hood?!
IS THIS YOUNG GEORGE CARLIN???LOL
This guy reminds me of Bob Ross
Holy shit, radio isn't magic!
This guy is a hero !!!!!!!!!!1
lol
this guy is something else
WOW Excellent sir

Yay Here After 12 Years,...😂
oh god it's chuck norris!!!
He really talks down to you
lol. I resonate!
Oh, it's like selling "Schticky" ... yey!
YOU GOT IT.
PHYSICS.
YAY.
Maybe twelve year olds would appreciate this?

OMFG CHUCK NORRIS !!
Click 5 a bunch.
physics yay
Why is 70's George Carlin teaching me physics?

Nice explanation professor
Great
hey alex
Resonance
this video is soooo good, amazing explanatiion of resonance, oh and i love alex
nice
i thoroughly enjoyed this short film about physics. Thank you for bringing this too my attention will bring this on board ;)
YEa! Me too! Even if my classmates think its too hard. Haha!
its called RESONANCE xD
Love this guy
Meth is a hell of a drug.
He's kinda cute.
Outstanding book ( I have an early version) and demo videos.
Exactly the same principle as between people, the ones you like vibrates with you!
noriss:-))!
THIS GUY IS EDUCATIONAL, AND COOL!
that... was a years worth of physics in a classroom.
cocaine is a hell of a drug,
It explains a lot !!
wow galinga oh!!
good job hewitt
cool...
Physics. Yay.
