Southampton fan here. I’m not here to gloat or rub it in - all season there has been practically nothing between these sides, as was proved again today. Sometimes it’s a coat of paint, but ultimately the reason that neither you or us went up automatically was the consistency and staying power of the two teams above us both.
The Championship is the best league IMHO, blood and guts exciting football without the huge financial chasm of the Premier League.
I honestly know how it feels to be totally devastated following our teams, but it is the very occasional high that keeps us all watching it.
All the very best next season, and I hope you put in a decent challenge just like you did for this one.

@@stephenpisani1730 The two CMs are good, it's the fact we don't have a 10 pulling the strings in front of them that's the issue. Rutter is great, but he'd be better as a winger, what we are missing is a Pablo type in the middle creating chances.

@@control2XSGruiv is nowhere near PL quality. He looks quality against low quality championship sides but has been bullied and outclassed when playing Leicester and Southampton. We dropped points at the start of the season which couldn't be helped but after closing the gap the team let themselves down after the international break. 99% of Leeds fans knew in their heads and hearts we would never get through the play offs.

Why did Farke not sub Piroe? Why not make changes at half time? Why play the same formation and method that had already been diagnosed and countered by Southampton previously? Why are we so bad from set pieces? Why pass the ball around and back, when we are 1-0 down? And why not ask him any of these questions in this 'interview'?

Really he got it tactfully wrong we played Southampton twice playing narrow and we lost so he does it again in the final waits to long to make a change when it’s not working on the pitch he has to go.

Im all for farke trying again next season, but i am not standing by the team , we need alot of new players next season if we are to go up , half the team is not good enough and constantly let the fans down again ! Hope the board take notice and fix this

We tried to tika taka our way through a wall of Southampton defenders. The only likelihood of us scoring for most of the game was a moment of magic. But Southampton seemed to have 3 men on summerville all thr time
Banging on about 90 points means fuck all no autos or not going up though playoff . I’m done with farke and his stubbornness and willingness change the team for the better. The same formula and team when it’s not working and excepting a different result .

1-0 ..get the goal ..double up on Summerville and Gnonto and park the bus. We struggled to break them down…as we have against bus parkers all season. Better in the final 15 minutes. Go again next season MOT.

I wanted to see gritty performance today win or lose and I would have been proud. What I saw was Russell Martin again put in a masterclass over us and Farke did exactly the same thing once again, Piroe up front, defence walks through our press and once again overrun in midfield. If you keep your job, please look at being less predictable a layman could work you out never mind a professional manager

@@control2XS not the season, that's been good, just today as an example of what's been happening all season. We really do have to get a proper centre forward for next season. Bamford playing that role makes the whole side better focused. Unfortunately his injuries tend to take a long time to recover from, and in consequence there are protracted periods where the side plays below its full potential.

90 points after last year and the summer we had, and you say he has no tactical nouse? Yes, I wish he made his changes earlier, but honestly I don't think there are any other managers at this level who would have gotten 90 points with the hand he was dealt.

How can anyone defend Farke when you’ve got McKenna with a clear defined style of play beating Leeds to promotion with that squad. Rosenior at least has an identity. Farke is slow build up and hope Rutter creates something out of nothing. Totally inept. Needs a reset. Would be dangerous to think we could do better next season
I was there today and I can tell you first hand that we just didn't deserve to win that game, maybe the second half we had spells where we looked better than the first half.

We could and should have done better. Gnonto should have been hooked at HT. We need a striker, a proper striker. As for set pieces, don’t get me started. I knew it would be an excruciating watch and so it proved.
