Sad thing about half these series is they were cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons so the storyline ends on a cliffhanger or with some level of suspense… I loved Emerald City, Atlantis and Forever but most people just don’t like this type of TV. It’s sad
Forever was amazing- it deserved more than one season (filmed in actual New York, great soundtrack - though they changed the songs on later releases). It's a 'feel good show' - much like Ted Lasso.
The Outcast: cancelled after 4 seasons. Atlantis: cancelled after 2 seasons. Siren: cancelled after 2 seasons. Emerald City: cancelled after 1 season. Moon Knight: Hasn't been cancelled yet, 1 season out. Midnight Mass chances of getting a season 2 are very slim. Black: cancelled . Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell: cancelled , 1 season. Forever: cancelled after 1 season Penny Dreaful: cancelled after 1 season.
Penny Dreadful is great! Only thing I would critics is way story goes. It is more like multiple stories happening at same time and affecting each other only lightly. I believe, there was potential to connect them more and characters from one stories could become important part of different story. But that is more about what I like, that actual flaw, so it can be seen as flawless (to me). Number 3. (That British magicians) I read book, at its awesome! I didn't know, there's TV show. Thanks.
But that is what the original concept of Penny Dreadful is, multiple stories focusing on the exploits of detectives, criminals, or supernatural entities.
@@eloigillarty3285 Yeah, I just would prefer, if when characters from different stories meet and even starts have some sort of relationship (not just romantic, but including it) them when something important happening to one of them and they needs all help they can get and second character could be definitely help, they should play some role in their story, not be ignored. But that is just my opinion and preference. It isn't plot hole or anything like that.
Seen 9, 8, 7, 6, 2, & 1. I wish that Wizard of Oz show had more seasons Definitely gonna watch the others Suggestions off the top of my head Alchemy of Souls, Zoo, & Motherland: Fort Salem
Tidelands, Midnight, Texas and Grimm are also really great fantasy shows...it was sad that the first only had one season it had so much potential for those who love mermaids, Midnight, Texas has vampires, angels, demons, spirits etc and is about this man who runs away from his abilities to hide in the town his relative told him would be safe, Grimm is about a guy who can see monsters as they are not in their disguise and he stops them from hunting humanity...all three are very interesting.
@@Lucario9d I think what I loved about is was the underwater scenes and her siren voice...that was cool, but yeah it was a touch slow, of course most first seasons tend to be, not all but many are.
I've seen black the Korean drama, it was brilliant it had me pressing next episode all the time to see what will happen next it had an really interesting plot too really worth the watch.....
series from Amazon, Netflix, and Disney, it's a miracle if any good things come out from those 3....lol...Atlantis and Forever, are two rays of sun on a dark world...the first lasted 2 seasons and the second just one...
my biggest pet peeve in these types of genres (supernatural, paranormal, thriller. etc) is an average protagonist, or even worse, a coward main character, i know they are super normal to seem relatable, but to me it's pretty boring when the main character isn't brave or strong in a story that is all about supernatural mysteries and powers ...
Complete seen : "The Outpost", "Forever" and "Moon Knight" started but abandoned : Atlantis, Siren, Emerald City (not 100% sure if i saw it complete) so of course "The Outpost" is the longest series of them, and i really liked it, its also gets better and better with the time, but you don't have to be one of those people who abandon something just because "bad CGI". Its more the story here. "Forever" i would have watched more, sadly it was canceled 😥
The Outpost was a series that should have been the usual CW level awful but wasn't it just got better as it went along and main characters were killed very often...i think the final episode was just perfect one of the best endings to a fantasy show ive seen where everyone(still alive) gets the ending they deserved
Ive watched 7/10 and some are excellent,i`d highly recommend The Outpost Forever and Penny Dreadful some of the are great like Moonknight and Jonathan Strange but Black puzzles me because though its good there are certainly other little known fantasy Kdramas out there that are way better than anything on this list
some good stuff on this list but please point out that this is for America and not everywhere for those like myself who dont and have never used a VPN to sidestep country codes, thx for the vid regardless
Did 1 , 2 , 4 ,5 , 6 and 7 get endings , still showing or cancelled ? Just don't want to start a new series and it ends up going nowhere .Usually a netflix thing .
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Many of these series are not available on streaming services in the US, including Forever, Jonathan Strange, and Black. I liked Moon Knight, I don't think it went to a second seaSon, sadly. Midnight Mass was a limited season btw and REALLY good, something of an allegory of how people who find some decent quality about belief wind up overlooking the evil potential. Black is one I've missed but intrigues me very much, but Penny Dreadful is REALLY good, well written, very sexy if that matters either way, but if that doesn't bother you and a period piece that features an A cast man... you've gotta try it.
the caveats that should be added are shows that were cancelled/did not finish story arcs/ended on a cliff hanger which is nearly 1/2 of these shows making them not so great
Yay .. great series 😍😍👍👍I was just so happy it was never canceled because people complaining about "cheap production" and "bad CGI" and this kind of stuff.
Emerald city whas canceled after 1 season hated that. Im still watching the video but whas thinking about dominion got canceled after 2 seasons whas amazing to
What's the point of talking about series that haven't finished and whose continuation has already been cancelled? What's the point in even starting to watch such series?
Spoilors... ish. Sirens was a good show. Canceled after the third season, which ends on a clift hanger of if one of the main characters is still alive. It's still worth the watch. I still think about this show to this day even though it's been over for a couple of years. Emerald City is pretty old but also a good show. I can't remember if it ended on a clift hanger, but it did end after one season, but I'd still watch it. I don't remember regretting watching or feeling like I wasted my time. I actually really wanted a second season though. Forever was good. It ended after season one kind of on a clift hanger. Nothing that's like omg what's going to happen next. He tells the detective at the very and some other stuff. It's worth the watch. I actually recently rewatched it and it holds up pretty well. It's free on the CW app. I personally couldn't finish moon knight but I might check it out again... Midnight mass was solid. One season. Cut and dry ending. A little edgy. Slow paced but fast story line.
I have watched Moon Knight, and Penny Dreadful, and enjoyed both immensely. However, I also watched Atlantis, and JONATHAN STRANGE AND MR NORRELL, and did not enjoy either.. Atlantis was just too juvenile for me, and JONATHAN STRANGE AND MR NORRELL ended up being dry and boring.
That actress in "Siren"... She looks at the same time pretty and scary...Probably good makeup... I should google her, I have no idea who she is, but I guess her face is not such...weird.
I watched The Outpost when it was on the CW. It lasted long enough to get a good ending. Sorry, but I found Atlantis unwatchable and gave up after a few episodes.
Siren- the storyline surrounding Rin is the only thing good about that show. I found every other storyline boring. I liked the special effects but of the actors were meh.
The outpost my 2nd fav Atlantis Siren my fav 💗🤭 is my very 1st before forever which is 1st Emerald city 3rd fav🩷🩵 Moon knight but I have not finished watch it thou😢 Midnight mass it was good Johnathan is ok Omg forever is my 1st fav because it’s 240years of him Penny dreadful is good for horror I-can say that I watched all but oh well I haven’t watched Black
I didn't know they renamed New Amsterdam to Forever. I heard the series was cancelled because of a law suit. I think it ended on a cliffhanger? One of the best shows of the season. I think they tried to shop it around but couldn't get any interest. What a shame.
I absolutely LOVE Siren. I hate that there are no more episodes. The story ended with so much more to explore.
So do I! I really love mermaids! I wish there was more too, but that’s what fanfiction is for! Do you think Ben is alive?
You’ve just made me watch this 8 minutes in and I’m loving it
Sad thing about half these series is they were cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons so the storyline ends on a cliffhanger or with some level of suspense… I loved Emerald City, Atlantis and Forever but most people just don’t like this type of TV. It’s sad

Emerald City is a very good series. I love the vibe, the atmosphere of the world building. Too bad it was cancelled after 1 season
The Outcast: cancelled after 4 seasons.

Midnight Mass is amazing, the story and the progression is marvelous. I waited for the second season
Loved Atlantis. Wish they would have done a third season to finish the storyline.
One of the best lists I have seen so far, that don't just do the same usual 10 main shows!
Penny Dreadful and Siren are both amazing IMO !!!
Seen 9, 8, 7, 6, 2, & 1.

Grimmmmmmm was very interesting
I personally hated tidelands. It holds the spot for being the biggest waste of my time. Felt super slow and purposeless.

LOVED SIREN, PISSED it ended after only 3 seasons !
LOVE SIREN. I heard they are actually making a season 4. I hope its true cz i need another season
Outpost went so downhill after season 2, so repetitive. Atlantis was fun, Siren was very good, sad that it ended.
@Round4flix bro which ai did u used to edit this video any insights can u provide me about this ai would really love to knw !
Emerald City and Penny Dreadful (the first one NOT the second one City of Angels)
Are those series available in Canada as well?
LOVE SIREN!!! PLEASE one of the streaming giant to continue
This list is dope. Penny Dreadful is one of top favorites of all time
Ooooooo I love moon knight! Wish there was more!
Beulraek looks interesting I cant seem to find it anywhere, I really liked Penny Dreadful
I love Forever and I can't believe it only got one season.
Black was released years ago on tv though released on Netflix now , it's one of the best k-fantasy thriller
my biggest pet peeve in these types of genres (supernatural, paranormal, thriller. etc) is an average protagonist, or even worse, a coward main character, i know they are super normal to seem relatable, but to me it's pretty boring when the main character isn't brave or strong in a story that is all about supernatural mysteries and powers ...
Siren 🫶🏽, outpost ehh, Atlantis 👍🏽, midnight mass beautiful, and penny dreadful was chefs kiss
All of them bar one or two got cancelled on a huge cliffhanger so it kinda defeats the purpose of watching them now in my opinion
What the name of the song playing in the background
Complete seen : "The Outpost", "Forever" and "Moon Knight"
started but abandoned : Atlantis, Siren, Emerald City (not 100% sure if i saw it complete)

Love siren 🥰 gutted it was cancelled, same with forever
midnight texas is a great show the originals, the order, salem , alchemy of souls

two words, pirate bay
Moon knight was Amazing , i'm waiting the next season
Did 1 , 2 , 4 ,5 , 6 and 7 get endings , still showing or cancelled ? Just don't want to start a new series and it ends up going nowhere .Usually a netflix thing .
Moonknight was my favourite pity there's one series.
Siren is a gem sadly they stopped working on it 😢
Sad bc I can't watch most of them even tho I have all platforms possible 🙃
The series Forever on Prime Australia is a completely different show with completely different actors made in 2018
The narrator of this video sounds like the male version of Siri..🤔🤔
This is quite enlightening! If you're curious for more, a book with a similar approach is recommended. "Galaxies United" by Olivia Whitestone
JONATHAN STRANGE AND MR NORRELL was extremely good, unfortunately it was canceled.

Actually my best movies is outpost nd siren
Outpost Started great. But then seems like they run out of ideas to add seasons
Sirens y Rice by Wolfe!!!! Área diferent AND interesting story AND Penny Dreyful a love
you'll know the whole list is amazing if you got to watch all of em... but i loved "The outpost " the most sad the placed it 10
Outpost reminds me of xena warrior princess
Midnight Mass was good too
I remember Forever sad it was cancelled too soon but after it came Lucifer which was much better.
' Black ' & ' Penny Dreadful ' amazing show...
' Emarald City ' also gd but lost its plot at climax..
Forever was a good show. Sad that they didnt have more seasons
I love The outpost❤

Dont invest time into Netflix series - they dont care about fans and kill anything just after 1 season if numbers are not perfect.
