- I want to talk about linear diffusers, linear diffuser are custom made for every job I want to talk about hvac air flow and how the linear diffusers are designed based on the air conditioning equipment heating and cooling capacity, I wanted to show these templates and how they work and talk to you about the CFM is required per linear foot the I use no more than 50 CFM per foot, lot I make them taller but the biggest thing is to keep those Liner very quiet so I most of the time only use 5 inch and six inch flex, in order to have a very quiet air-conditioning system airflow is very very important in order to keep great indoor air quality we're also talking about the 5 inch filter media at the air handler and how that works with the return Liner Diffuser.
Thanks for watching!

This is very informative and helpful for me and my customers to understand these things over traditional vents and returns.
Thank you

Dear sir, kindly advise which part is called SHELL of linear slot diffuser. Thanks
Do you do calcs, I have a new custom home and owner wants to do some linear diffusers. But my hvac engineer doesn't like the linear for residential
One day when I build a home can you please come to MI?
can you hit a linear diffuser box from the side with a 5 or 6" duct when running inside a 16" ceiling joist?
No

After watching your videos i determined that my single return of 20x30 for my 4 ton unit is not enough. I am struggling to find an interior wall in which to place another return. Any suggestions for a return on a standard 2x4 wall that i will run down into the crawlspace? I dont want a return on the floor.
that size sounds sufficient, really. maybe you can find a grille with wider spacing (3/4" instead of 1/2"), or find one with lower deflection angle. that should allow more airflow.
Get a bigger return Grill 20X30 is more than enough for residential.
To give you size dimensions are
3 ton=12-14inch return duct
4 ton =16 Inch return duct
5 Ton= 18-20inch return duct
If you are using a wall cavity for return, the grill might not be the limiting factor. The amount of free area in the wall cavity might be what limits your CFM

Hello David I just got a trane xl20i unit for my house and I getting error 91 from my thermostat, any phone number that I can call to discuss about it. Thanks in advance .
Error Code 91 is "Loss of Communication between blower motor and control board", no line voltage on blower motor or inducer motor and 12 volt dc should be measured between 12v Pin and gound pin on control board E8 connector and at terminal 1 and 3 blower motor", hope this helps, thanks for subscribing and for your comments. Also helps to reset the breakers for a few minutes to reset the board, most times its the low voltage line that causes the issue.
