I’ve been grieved recently by the message from a pastor and teacher who placed something above and contrary to the glory of God. When confronted about it, this teacher stubbornly reiterated his position, and then accused those who took issue of being like the Pharisees. God’s word will never fail, but people get accustomed to having certain teachers being reliable stewards of the ministry of teaching the Word. I consider John Piper to be reliable. Oh that he would never shame the ministry as has happened so often.
Tis a sad day when Christians would cancel a faithful minister who preaches and teaches rightly for one bad counsel (in many's eyes) he gave.😢 what happened to admonishment and encouragement. Too many have become like the culture in dealing with each other rather than dealing with others in a Christ-like manner.
@@rumbleyd we have admonished and encouraged him, he refused to repent and even took a swing at fundamentalists. We aren't cancelling him, church discipline isn't cancelling.
Not so. You are parroting what others have said on social media. Listen to Alistair Begg's Sunday evening message to his congregation. Pray that you will have ears to hear. To hear the heart of Jesus in His parables. Shun the letter of the law. The legalist path is wide, and many are those who take it.
What’s shocking to me is when you see a church leader fail, and then when they’re shown that their teaching or action was wrong, they then DOUBLE DOWN and make themselves an example to their entire flock of how to be unteachable and above correction.
I am so sad to see the bashing of Alistair Begg all over social media. I am so disappointed to see many who I thought knew better participate in this bashing behaviour. What a terrible example before a watching world . If someone disagrees with Alistair why not speak to him in private rather than get on social media and pass judgement It has greatly affected me and shown me the pure evil that is being directed at Alistair in the name of Jesus. I wish some of you would direct your teachings on this wicked response instead of perpetuating such unloving behaviour towards a dear brother But alas nobody will stand up regarding the terrible behaviour of those towards Alistair. It is a free for all of slander and self righteousness, etc in the name of Christ. So so disappointed . The amazing thing is the Lord knows Alistair’s true intentions and He will give Him strength in the midst of this wicked unloving attack
