    Ancient India is just mind blowing. To understand it, leave all the current Indian religious systems behind and look into it with complete neutrality. People may disagree, but they weren't just barbarians like rest of the world and had a very intellectual approach to the universe and creation, especially to their age of history. In today's India, not much of this stuff is discussed or researched, which is a pity. The only good educational documentary made so far is the "discovery of India" and those who haven't must watch it.

    • @sadenb
      @sadenb 7 лет назад +3

      Spirituality and Material progress in Ancient India were integrated and cannot be separated. All sciences of India are in forms of sacred science where knowledge is considered sacred and material natural science is not the ultimate. Where mathematics and astronomy are secondary subjects compared to philosophy and spiritual techniques.

      Why were we colonised for so many centuries by foreigners such as such as Kushans, Huns and Greeks in ancient India and Turks and Mughals in medieval India and English after Mughals. How had China remained unconquered and independent. If we had been so prudent and wise no body could have dared to enter India. It was because our society had remained disunited on caste, language and religion and there was no concept of India as such. Allegiance was owed to the kings and there were so many kings fighting each other. China was better placed as it had only one Han race and one language and they had got so many dynasties of big empires since ancient time such as Shang Empire in 1600 BC, Zhou, Han, Yuan Empire , Ming Empire and Quing empire from 1644 to 1912. while we have got only three big empires namely Mauryan and Gupta in ancient India and Mughals in medieval India. and after Mughals ther ewas no empire since the death of Aurangzeb in 1705. Thereafter Nawabs, Marathas and Mughals started fighting each other enabling British to colonise India. Probably British empire was blessing in disguise as English language enabled people of North, South, East and West India to communicate with each other and unite together in independence movement. English language also helped Indians to dominate in IT sector .

      EVERY country in the former British Empire has demanded Britain resume full political control now it has proven it is great again.
      Kenya’s president Uluru Kenyatta said: “We never wanted Britain to stop ruling us in the first place - why ever would we? -
      “Don’t worry about giving us voting rights or any of that nonsense. Now you are once again a proud, resurgent nation unafraid of political correctness, we have absolute trust you will act in our best interest. And the world’s.
      The UK now commands a fifth of the world’s population and one-quarter of its total habitable land, which is as it should be.
      Retired headmistress Margaret Gerving, from Guildford, said: “I don’t know why America is insisting on being independent. I’m sure they’ll stop being silly eventually.”

      "Dravidian theory" is a propaganda based bullshit..."Dravids" DID exist but NOT as an altogether separate race but as a sect of Hindu mass. As like a Bihari can NOT say, 200 years hence from now, that "Bihari was a the True (separate) race, at the start of the millennium. True culture of India."
      *Its "Dravids" that comes from "Bharat", and NOT otherwise.*

      For your information the turban or any type of Hear gear was part of the traditional Bharatiya way of life..... Although I dont agree to your point of view that" Dravid" is a separate race but even if I do still almost all great South Indian kings are portrayed wearing some sort of turban and I am referring to the pre mougal Kings . The various Gandhar artifacts also give a clear indication that wearing a head gear made out of cloth was pretty much common practice in ancient Bharat.

    • @Galavya41

      who said anything about Punjabis??? The topic is about The Turban being an ancient indian practice". Cool Down friend...and still no There is no such race as" Dravidian" ...I too come from a supposedly' dravid' family and have spent my life researching this ...There is no substantial proof of a seperate race known as Dravidian or Arya...Entire Ancient Indian Literature of both South and North India is amazingly silent on the matter . The term ' Dravid ' is almost always used to denote the cultural aspects of people and never racial. Similarly the word " Arya" is always used to denote the moral and spiritual superiority of a person and not his Race...

      South civilization was never superior to north..especially Kerala and tamilnadu was never supreme in building s in ancient times...only cholas in 13th century build something's remarkable..Kerala have nothing great ...keezhadi and all excavations are even later than Asoka the great..only adichanalloor is a bit older excavation site. And that's just a burial site with skeletons in it..no buildings no roads no alphabets...no utensils..just some earthen jars and skeletons in it.

This pillar was brought there from Magadha empire. Ashoka's Pillar has four lions facing four directions, which is symbol adopted by Indian Govt. Thanks for watching and taking notice.
