@LostOnes bro do you have a job? You give me a teen female vibe here. Getting a job today is a huge deal first of all. Following dreams requires money. And I never said sister should not follow her dreams. If the elder sibling is responsible for younger sibling, that means the parents are out of picture. If parents are alive and they want son to wait until daughter is married, that only explains their concern cuz they have seen the world more than us. I have seen in any house with unmarried sister, she becomes a servant UNLESS SHE IS STUDYING OR WORKING somewhere. If youre sitting home then its moral responsibility to contribute in house work. But eventually the brother's wife will bear kids, and the kids will become the sister's responsibility or the wife will take responsibility for kids but will make the sister do all house work. This happens in every village and majority of Indians live in villages. Every practice becomes backward practice only if it's forced on someone. I have seen my maternal aunts torture my grandma mentally and emotionally. At the same time I have seen my paternal grandma mentally torture my parents. Everything is not a fruity delusional fairytale. These "backward practices" arose for a reason. I can see a positive start to so many "backward practices " which evolved into something bad over decades and are now frowned upon. And how Is a wife wanting husband to stop talking to his sister a "women are burden" concept? Who is burden in this situation? Wife or sister?
It's true in most households in India. The elder brother is responsible and head of household who had to take care of everyone in the house. It's a big responsibility but these days since dynamics are changing, everyone in the house contributes to share these responsibilities.
Let me tell you a mind blowing fact. DOWRY was introduced in Indian society by BRITISHERS, before that there was no concept of dowry (only there was tradition of stree dhan in form of jwellery and ornaments, that a mother gives to her daughter and only women have control on that). No historian mentioned about dowry system in Indian culture. It's britishers who used to take dowry, then introduced that in their colonial world and then indians practiced it as it is mandatory.

Oh jaby doing these old joke is like a tradition now whenever she's the guest co host . Only the channel legends know this 😂🤣
Raksha Bandhan festival is a celebration of brother-siater realtionship
I didn't realise many parts in India has tradition of marrying daughters before sons. In my area, older sibling mostly gets married first. But I have noticed that in Indian society If a sister lives in the same house after her brothers wedding for too long, she basically becomes a servant especially if shes unemployed
I really like the voice of Ms. Green 💚
This movie gives quite a general gist of indian households . So this is quite close to what an indian households is likee

Hey Jaby Shamshera Teaser launched few minutes ago.
You can react to it looks promising .
This movie is all about Indian culture of marriage, basically arranged marriage and all the good and bad about it, the dowry and the wedding expenditure, the culture that the brother marries after her sisters marry but only when the age gap between them is very little, if the brother is a lot older than the sister a brother can marry before them.
It feels some kind of injustice 😂😂
Because I got no sister
Its so stupid how people in India want girls in a family to get married first and how getting a girl married is viewed as a responsibility. Getting married shouldn’t be the ultimate goal for everyone. You should only get married if your independent.
finally some common sense
Really lovely trailer
I like most this video!
Elder brothers are like Dad here,. If you have your dad is alive or not.
