Yes,but he is not in many of the scenes he is narrating so there is no straight connection from the scenes to him personally. How would he know how his father shot arrow to that Alaafin in the middle of the night?
Thank you for mentioning the pubic hair beards😂😂😂😂 Honestly a very good movie overalll although the story line was a bit confusing for the first few minutes.
You're welcome. Plot was a bit all over the place but i expect good things from her next time. I hope the Kuti film she just made is good. I hate the poster
Overall, it was a good movie. I would love for filmmakers to tell more of these stories through movies. Another historical movie from BAP that I love is the biopic of Funmilayo Ransome Kuti.
"facial hair that looks like pubic hair" 😂 If they wrote this line on a paper and asked me to guess who said this, I'd still be correct 100% 😂😂😂😂 In general, the movie was on point. My major issue is the fact that as a Yoruba boy, I wasn't sure if I should categorise it as fiction or parody, because the movie deviates so much from the history of GAA and Yoruba history as a whole. For instance, Ibadan did not exist in Gaa's era.
@@EkwemReviewsbut you know, for people who know nothing about history, it's easy to get it twisted. A different title should have been used then. I was expecting 100% depicion of Gaa's life, because of the title, "house of Gaa".
Monopoly of madness😅😅...but nobody really gave that guy... On Oyemekun's part, I guess his role as narrator ties into him being the only person who survived the annihilation of Gaa's household.
The butterflies you were feeling was you missing Nigeria and our languages 💀 Also, why did you keep chuckling while mentioning the most beautiful girl in the village? 🌚
Sorry, didn't see your replies. Still learning my way around the youtube dashboard. Omo, the babe is not even themost beautiful among her own friends 😑
Haha. I didn't review it against the history. I knew artistic liberties were taken but Oyemekun didn;t really have an arc. no use doing all that training if he never really uses it for anything asides a duel
@@EkwemReviews The trainings if things had gone well, would have been useful . Because eventually he would become a Governor or something close. But since you didn't review based on history line, then I understand your review basis then
I’d give it to the costume on Femi Branch because it really gave him this look of a very horrible person! He really delivered on his role as the main character too! Nice recap💯
I just felt the main character cld hv been someone else. His acting wasn't so authoritative. Also why use Stan Eze that his yoruba isn't so fluent for such a role? Even thou it was just 1 scene, it's such a no no

It definitely makes sense that Oyemekun is narrating because he is the only one that lived to tell the tale of the house of Gaa.

@@EkwemReviews Ah I see your point
Amazing work, hilarious delivery😂 and yes!! I’d definitely be watching this house of GA. Welldone 👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
The opening line is everything😂
😆😆 I couldn't resist
Short and Sweet! Also, Femi Branch, happy to give him flowers anytime.
He really earned his paycheck. I keep shouting Odimule!, something he said to the Oyomesi in a thunderous voice

The opening line with the PUBIC HAIR killed me
I couldn't help it

Just saw the trailer. It doesn't look interesting o. Looks like form over function.
2:22 is the real depiction of “the arrow that flies by night” 😅😂
Hahaha. true

They never said based ‘based on a true story’ Sha.

Please review the movie "Who killed captain Alex" 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Not heard of that one before. I'll see if it's interesting
She won't disappoint me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Amen o

Yh, but they didn;t have to. They could have just told the story normally.
You knew Bolanle would not disappoint even though you have never heard of her???
I like yoruba movies in genera. I'm usually partial towards them, to be honest. They have to be REALLY bad to be bad to me.
amazing, good review
Thanks!

Loool. Thanks
It's the pubic hair for me...😅😅
Weldone.....But you go come Oyo Ilé and understand the story, so you no go confuse and think Oyemekun is a coward.
But weldone with the recap

I found the whole slave girl story arc ridiculous but overall somewhat decent outing from BAP
Quite ridiculous. A whole Bashorun bothered about the heart of a slave. Mchew.
Dey play óò.....lol
You know if the slave na winch😄...Baba needs to dey guided always
Let's find Yoruba name for Ekwe ASAP
Sadly it was voice dubbed for us. South Africa
Really? That’s terrible!
@@EkwemReviews Hate when they do that but job creation for voice over professionals, I understand.
Well, that dilutes the experience, I think. I insist you find a file with Yoruba audio and English sub 😵💫😵💫😵💫

Pubic what??
Watch it on netflix before you judge me :(
