It’s true, it can be a tricky thing to wrap your head (and hand!) around! I’m glad to hear you’re getting the hang of it and learning new things 😃

Hi Alaina I want to know how you have your settings and preferences for your brushes. I’m having a lot of spikes while using these brushes. I can’t seem to get it right. Thank you

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble! There is a troubleshooting section in the PDF guide, have you gone through those steps? The most important is probably that under settings -> prefs, "dynamic brush scaling" should be toggled ON and also that if your ipad and/or Pencil are low on power it's important to charge them to at least 20% before using the brushes, as the low battery can cause jerkiness. With the dynamic brushes as used in this video, the pressure is how to make it bigger or smaller so it's also important to check your pressure and smoothing settings and reset the pressure curve if its been changed.
Other than that, if anything has happened with your Apple Pencil like dropping it etc, it could cause some issues, so if you can test whether it works correctly with default procreate brushes which have pressure and tilt sensitivity, that can help you determine whether anything is wrong with it. You can look at this with an apple customer service person or send me an email at hello@alainajensen.com and I can help walk you through how to test that its working properly.

Hi Marie, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble and happy to help out! Are you using an Apple Pencil? The pressure sensitivity requires an Apple Pencil. If you are already using one, you can check the troubleshooting tips in this video to make sure that it's functioning properly: ruclips.net/video/oMvP_wvwy6w/видео.html and if you're still having trouble after trying those steps, please drop me a message at hello@alainajensen.com so that we can investigate further.
