i literally have no legs so thanks for this
Hi Otis, thanks for positive feedback - really great to hear the video is helping you with your fitness training 👍
Good for you keeping at it. Hugs to a stranger keeping fit no matter what! Have a good day, dude. Pretty inspiring.
Hopefully you're keeping at it. Good stuff
Just sustained a groin injury. This was exactly what I needed
Sorry to hear about your injury, hope you recover quickly and the video helps in the meantime 👍
Beginning of the video: "no way I'm gonna burn any significant amount of calories with this"
Half in the video: *panting* *sweating*
Great to hear hear the workout hit the spot Valter! 👍
Try holding even 1 pound weights and damn!
At last a REAL legless workout, thank you so much 😊
You're welcome, hope it helps 👍
@Sam Omg same😂😂except due to jump rope my left toe got swelled so I have to resort to this
@Peyton Knott Bro and I have also a broken spine cant even lay down or sit forget working out for more than few mins at max 😂 Hope we both get well soon : ))
@Peyton Knott We both :)
This is really helpful and has given me some hope of being able to maintain some aerobic fitness. After nearly 42 years of daily running, I fell awkwardly and completely ruptured my quadriceps tendon, so I'm out of action for a long time. Getting back at 71 isn't going to be easy. So many thanks!
good luck!!
This is the BEST Cardio on YT! Easy to do but tough on the calories! EVERY SINGLE cardio has legs because its easy to increase those cals with legs but THIS is Gold! This is proven by the number of views of this video vs the Subs. Speaking of which @Triathlon Matt why did you stop, please continue growing this channel~
I am a senior citizen waiting for a hip replacement. Thank you for these exercises which allow me to stay in aerobic shape until my surgery. Thanks again!
I just had meniscus repair surgery. Last few months i procrastinated a lot, due to injury, i gained nearly 10 kgs of weight. I aim to lose 10 now. As i can't do any cardio where my knee is to be moved, i found this video amazingly helpful. I hope to burn 600 calories per day by doing this exercise 10 times a day, according to my rough calculations. God bless you matt. Thanks a lot, may Jesus bless you abundantly ❤
Broke my knee 2 weeks ago I am managing to still do weights but no cardio is killing me . Thanks for this video !
Thank you so much for doing this. I suffer from depression and anxiety so I view my workouts like taking a pill. I have been furloughed since march and turned my garage into a gym as I couldn't access my local gym. Last week I injured my knee and my mood had gone right down so I've been worried I won't be able to keep the black dog at bay. Having Found your video it has proven to be a life saver!! Thank you so very much!! 😊xx
Hi Kirsty, that's great to hear the video is helping you through the injury and the lockdown period. All the best for keeping strong both physically and mentally 👍
hey bro how u doing now
I suffer as well, and it's amazing how these simple workouts lift you spirit! Hope all is well!
Same here thanks matt
I LITERALLY have a broken femur right now! This is PERFECT!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Recovering from foot surgery with no weight on my foot for 12 weeks. This is perfect for me, I will have to sit on a bench, but this gives me options! Thank you
Thanks for the workout. A knee injury kept me away from running for a couple of months last year and it took me ages to get over it and get back into running. I have begun to feel similar pain in that knee over the last day or so. I am determined this time to me more intelligent about healing and this workout will help.
Thanks for the feedback Adam, hope the workout helps keep your fitness up while you concentrate on your knee injury 👍
Matt - thank you so much. You are helping me through a torn proximal hamstring ligament. I’m doing the video 3 times in a session and getting my heart up to 140! Just what I need.
I realize that this video is a couple years old at this point but THANK YOU for this video! I just sustained a tibial plateau fracture on my left leg ... three weeks after completing my official PT course for a dislocated knee + various tissue damages in my right leg. I’ve been searching for chair/sitting workouts that truly do not use your legs at all and this is one of the few I’ve been able to find. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thanks very much Matt. I got bone fracture on the neck of Femur while I slipped down during running. Conducted a surgery with screw in. Stayed in hospital for two weeks and now rehab at home. I am frustrated and down until I do this exercise of yours three times a day. It keeps my spirit up. Thanks very much. Your fan far away in Hong Kong!
Thanks for the kind comments and hope your recovery has gone well. Stay strong in Hong Kong, wishing you all the best back from the UK!
THANK YOU MATT!!! I have some kind of Psoas and IT injury, anything with hip hinge or folding forward KILLS me next day, back and hips screaming, this was literally upper body only, I love that I can adjust speed if I want, or hold really tiny weights. Finally I found this, all 'upper body only' videos have leg lifting/ movement too. Thank you
Edit: I'm doing the twice a day, it's perfect for escaping to the bathroom or a hidden corner at the office for a quick wakeup or stress relief without having to break out a yoga mat (which is gross and impractical in the medical field), and only takes 10 min. Thanks again
I added one pound baby weights and WOW it makes a difference!!!
After losing quite a good bit of weight via my home elliptical, i twisted my knee after stepping off of the curb wrong. I was determined to continue to do SOMETHING to keep my body/heart pumping. You just saved my life. Im doing this every day (looping it 3 times for a 30 minute workout). Going to up it to twice a day.
Please don't take this down from you tube. Thanks so much for posting it.
Just found this video today. I had both my legs smashed to pieces a long, long time ago. Got pretty sedintary for awhile, but once I finally got the ability to stand up and walk back, I've been trying to take better care of myself. Still don't have a full range of motion, never will, but stumbling onto this video, even though it's five years old, it's a big help. Hope your Triathlons are still going well 👍
Thanks for the feedback and kind comments.
Really hope the video is of use for fitting your requirements.
The triathlons are going OK thanks as I thankfully got back to running fine as well.
At the beginning: Not sure if this is going to help.
By the end: This is a game changer!!
Really helpful routine, thanks.
Thanks for the kind feedback - great to hear it's of use 👍 stay strong any way it takes mate 👍
Thank you so much Matt. I'm a 14 year old regional swimmer and i recently pulled a muscle in my quad. I am used to doing a half an hour run plus a big workout each day. Doing your workout has helped me keep fit and now I'm on the road to recovery! Thank you so much!!!!
Hi Lenny, thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear about the injury. Here's wishing you a strong comeback 👍
Man thank you for this, I have been seriously overexerting my legs because I use exercise to release stress, but this workout enabled me to give my legs a break every once in a while and still be able to work through the stress!
Great to hear it's of use keeping your fitness balanced 👍
Thanks so much! I have a knee injury, and I really didn't know if I could get a real cardio workout with just my arms. I just tried this sitting in a chair, and it definitely got my heart pumping!
Thank you SO much!!! I hurt my knee just when my cardio workout routine and weight loss had been blossoming for 3 months. I need to keep it moving! This videos upload is just the ticket! Thanks so much!
Dude... Yeah I can do that. I have perthe's disease which causes a lot of pain in my legs if I use them a lot. I'm lucky that I otherwise have full mobility, but makes exercise super challenging. This is definitely something I can do, and kinda have done a little bit on my own. You developed it into a full blown workout though which is awesome. I'm trying this tomorrow!
Terrific idea and program. I am waiting for my hip operation and want to help keep my blood pressure down via cardio work. Can't place any weight on my right leg, so these exercises are perfect for me. I do them in my desk chair. Thanks so much.
Thank for this Matt. Cam off my bike yesterday and fractured fibula so no cycling for a while. Tried out your workout and will be great whilst recuperating. Did it on a stool and wirked perfectly. Good luck with your recovery.
Thank you and great to hear the video was of help. Stay strong too and best of luck :)
Thanks! Hurt my toe a few days ago and wanted to do something while it’s healing! Heart rate got up to almost 160!
This is AWESOME! Healing from a ruptured hamstring repair surgery so can't do my normal swim, bike, run. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much! I run to cope with stress and I'm off due to a minor injury for a couple weeks. This really helped.
Thanks Kelly, great to hear the video is helping manage your injury time positively, best wishes for a quick return to the running 👍
Brilliant! Swollen knee with arthritis, so I need to continue with upper body for a bit. Thanks heaps!
Thanks so much for this! I am a runner with an injured meniscus and this is helping me to maintain fitness during recovery. I am able to gently bounce on a rebounder as I do these exercises!
I have double hip and knee arthritis, so walking long distance is not an option for me which can be quite depressing. I’m glad I found this video. It got my heart going which felt good! Thanks for this.
Thank youuuuuuu. I've a fractured femur and tibia 😢 and need this soooo much xx
I just did this on a bar stool - doing this standing doesn’t make much sense as I’m not full weight bearing with my boot, but on the stool I can ‘run’ a bit with my legs & swing my arms behind my back. Thanks for this! I’ve been doing various RUclips injured foot videos for months and this was a total change from the usual. I’m putting it into the rotation :)
Matt, thank you. I tore a thigh muscle in a motorcycle mishap a few months ago. Can't run and shouldn't use my legs too much at the moment and so many upper body workouts I found rely heavily on the legs. Glad you posted this.
Best of luck with the recovery and hope you come back stronger 💪👍
@@TriathlonMatt cheers, Matt. I'll go for a follow up MRI in July. Hopefully my leg will show significant recovery.
As someone who is used to working with resistance, this is a new expirience for me.
thank you for showing us it's possible to get a great workout even if you're compromised
Dude you're awesome. I have adductor strain and this is just what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
Thanks Vasiliki, best of luck with recovering from the adductor strain 👍
Some of the best warm ups I've ever seen. Amazing, really. And thank you for the enjoyable sensible music
Thank you so much! Messed my knees up and have to take a break. This was fun!
Thank you. I just started working out again and then had stitches on my hip, leg bend area. This worked great to give something I can do and can barely lift my arms after 😅
Thanks Matt! I was not able to do my proper exercises after the knee injury. Now, I can join you for the warmup. I hope that you recovered well already.
I've been recently diagnosed with Morton's neuroma so can't go on runs or do anything where I put pressure on my foot. So a friend suggested that I search for cardio workouts on youtube that don't require legs, and I found this video. Good workout to ease into after almost a month without having done any cardio. Thanks Matt.
Hi Anfernee - thanks for the feedback and great to hear the video is of help. Very best of luck for positively managing your situation.
Matt you should make more of these, they are a good cardio work out.
My 12 yo super sporty son cut his foot open at Easter and has been getting really twitchy not being able to do any exercise in lockdown and this has been brilliant for him! Thank you so much!
Sorry to hear about your sons injury, best of luck for quick healing and great to hear the video is of help 😀👍
Thank you for sharing. Just done an ACL injury. Missing cardio at the moment.
I am recovering from a knee arthroscopy and have been looking for some seated cardio to keep my cardio fitness and burn calories while I am recovering from the procedure and starting rehabilitation. Thanks for putting this together.
Thank you so much for this! Torn meniscus with pending surgery has interrupted my daily 5k trail run. This is just what I needed! Did NOT want to lose all the cardio I maintain by running, and I believe this will at least minimize that!
Sorry to hear about your injury, hope it heals quickly 👍
week 3 of my 8 weeks of aircast for broken foot...right in my half marathon training....thanks for this...my shoulders were burning haha...
Excellent exercises while I recuperate from my leg injury
Thanks for this. Got to say I was surprised at how much this got me breathing! 4 weeks into a meniscus cartilage injury and I’m going nuts not being able to run/ride, or even walk that far, particularly with the nicer weather. Think my wife will be glad I’ve found a way to use up some of my energy, and hopefully I may even sleep a little better too. Thanks again.
Thank you for this workout! I hurt my leg running recently and i can't see my team due to covid, but this workout made me feel more satisfied and capable than i knew i was. thanks!
Thanks Matt, I really enjoy these exercises and they are helping me a lot while my knees are recovering. Have an upvote and a comment to feed the algorithm. Cheers mate!
Hi, Matt! This was a lot of fun and felt great! I haven't been able to do Taekwondo for a few years now since injuring my knee, so finding alternate cardio is always fantastic! Planning to incorporate this into my semi-daily routine!
Thanx .have severe knee pain.for high cholestrol dr advised cardio.i was disappointed. Thank God I found your video.
This is my second day of working out until I'm not as chubby, and my legs are really sore but I don't wanna give up. So thank you for this.
I’m recovering from a mole excision procedure on my thigh (five stitches) and my doctor said no exercise for two weeks. I’m so happy to find some cardio I can do without using my leg. Thank you for this!
Thanks for the positive feedback - great to hear the video is of help :)
Matt killed it!
Tore my achilles a few weeks back and needed a sitting routine without legs or machines. Great routine for me, don't want to gain any more weight than what Covid has already packed on! Thanks for the upload
Love this, thanks Matt! I just injured my ankle and was feeling gutted about losing my cardio routine: finding this video and doing the workout has been a real morale boost. Smash it, smash it, SMASH IT!
Thanks Natalie, great to hear the video is helping you with your injury. Keep on smashing it and best of luck for a quick recovery 😀👍
Nice one Matty. I added my 2kg wrist bands which jumps up my heart rate with your routine. Hope u recoverd 110%!!
Thanks for this! I got a toe injury but still wanted to “close my rings” so this was a wonderful way to get my heart rate up while still not harming my toe in any way. Appreciate it!
Thanks Erin, hope you're getting over the injury OK 👍
This video helped me maintain the joy of working out despite my leg injury. Thank you so much ! I will be using this workout regularly until my leg is all healed up ! And maybe even after that:)
Thanks Jamie, really great to hear the video has helped you 👍 hope you recover quickly
Just what I needed after spraining my ankle carrying my bike down stairs and missing a stair… most other chair workouts are not intense enough but this one was good. Doing it twice is even better!
Thank you as I lie here with an elevated knee for weeks. Motivation!! Great to do alongside ligament rehab.
Thank you so much loving this, I’ve had a knee joint replacement a week ago so feeling I’m back in the game.😊🎉
Thank you for this! Gives me hope, have had hip leg pain for years. Its nice to start somewhere with help.
Thank you for this. I broke my left knee cap a week a ago and almost my whole leg is in a cast. This will help since I have to stay of my leg for like 6 weeks. You got a sub for this 😄💙👍
Thanks Jo La, very kind of you to say. Best of luck for you recovering quickly 👍
Thanks so much i usually run a mile or two a day but I hurt my knee playing basketball so it was impossible to do, I really appreciate keep making great content
So helpful! thank you from an old lady with hip osteoarthritis!!
Thanks very much, that was a great workout while I am not able to weight bear for long.
Nice. I’m trying a new program where I run 3 times a week but want to rest my legs between my run days. This is great.
Great to hear the video is helping between your run sessions 🏃 👍
i have knee problems and my doctors didnt discover yet what it is... so i dont like to do exercises that include my legs bc i can have bad pain from it or even my knee dislocated. so thank you for this!!!! it is gonna benefit me a lot:)
Thank you for this, i had my leg fractured so needed this 🙏🙏🙏😊😊😊
Some sort of knee injury here - waiting for my MRI appt but I know I can’t run so this was perfect. I am used to running for hours but wow 10 minutes of this arm workout and I am pretty sure I will be sore. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this Matt! Great way to start the day
Thanks Tia, great to hear it helped 👍
This really helps me to stay a little fit. I have one leg and have difficulties with normal cardio workouts. I really like this workout. Thank u! :). Im interested in more of these workouts!
Thanks Flo, great to hear the video is helping your fitness. Tip to make some of the moves harder you can use a resistance band too 👍
thank you so much for this, recovering from a knee injury and it's extremely useful! the only problem with this workout is that my cat seems to think its ok to lay in my lap while im doing it
Ha ha, glad to hear the video is helping with your recovery and entertaining your cat too! Best wishes for a quick recovery for your knee 👍
I’m late to the party but I just have a lipoma removed from my hip - so no running or riding for me - and this is a lifesaver
Thank you !! My legs hurt a lot because of my last workout session and thanks to you I finally could do some cardio without using my poor legs XD
Thank you for this video Matt. I am two months post-op for the same injury. It'd be great if you posted a video of how your recovery went after the month and how long it took you to get back to 'normal' and how your pain levels were and what they were It's all quite changeable from day to day for me. Thanks again.
Hi Claire, thanks for the feedback - hang in there and keep up with the physio rehab and the pain should ease off. I'm now 7 months and back to run training which is a big plus - I'll have to do a follow up video soon 👍 all the best with your recovery
Thank you so much for this video. I also have leg injury so it’s nice to be able to still have a good sweat!
Really appreciate this! I was in a car 6 weeks ago and cracked three vertebrae... I've been walking but it's too much and starting to cause a glute troubles, so I needed some way to get active and keep my lungs strong
Sorry to hear about your situation. Hope the recovery goes well, follow your medical advice and rehab and hope you come back stronger 👍
Thank you exactly what I needed as both of my knees are in need of seeing to.
Perfect
Amazing! Thanks :) Very frustrated with my posterior tibial tendonitis, which has had me off running for a year and has now flared up again also keeping me from walking and cycling. I love the boxing moves at the end- the whole workup got my heartrate up and also great to let go of some of that frustration.
I really hurt my knee a few months ago so this was really helpful, thank you💗
Thank you so much for this. I found it looking for support to stay fit while I wait for a knee replacement, but I wish I could forward it to my younger self, who definitely relied too much on the lower body for fitness! Everything is sore after doing this but I intend to make it a regular part of my exercise practice. So much gratitude for you Matt!
Thanks for the kind comments, great to hear the video will help you keep fit around the knee operation 👍
Awesome
Ty this is great for my leg injury, can do warm up properly next week.
Thank you so much! I got kicked by a horse and cannot walk due to an injured quadriceps. This helped a lot!
Hi Sharon, sorry to hear about your injury and great that the video is helping whilst you recover. All the best for coming back stronger
Thanks! Bad move on the gym yesterday left my hamstring unusable for a few day. Glad I can continue my daily cardio with this routine.
Sorry to hear about the hamstring injury - hope it heals quickly and the video helps in the meantime 👍
Thank you Matt. I’m a runner who snapped her achilles on a mountain bike 2 weeks ago and this is the first time my heart rate has been higher than about 78bpm (doing qigong)!
Glad to hear the video is of help, best if luck with a quick recovery for the achilies injury
Thanks so much. Have a knee injury and really struggled to do cardio.
Thanks
Thank you I really needed this, because I have recently gotten a stress fracture in my tibia.
Great to hear the video is helping you keep fit - hope the stress fracture heals quickly 👍
@@TriathlonMatt Thank you! I hope so too.
This is so amazing dude. Thank you so much. I had a stress fracture in foot and was looking for something like this. Thank you once again.
Hi Buddharatn, thanks for the kind feedback - great to hear the video is of help. Best wishes for a quick recovery for you 👍
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you sooo much. I have knee Osteoarthritis. Your video is excellent. Half way through the exercise and I started sweating. Great video. Perfect.
Great to hear the video is of help 👍
Thank you so much -really effective. I just had a total hip replacement so this is great.
Thanks. Most "upper body" cardio workouts I've found on YT use the legs a lot too. I have gluteal tendinopathy and can't over work my lower body, but I still want to lose weight and improve my health. I think I'll try this with light weights.
