I am so impressed with how much effort you put into everything you've shown us! This was so fun to watch. It reminds me of a story/book I wrote and made in junior school, nothing on this scale. I will have to see if my mum still has it! Can't wait to discover more and more about Rimzies!

Like steph, I wasn’t satisfied with my toys and I like polly pockets. So I made tiny houses inside shoeboxes and would glue furniture into it from other toys or I would make my own. The walls inside were colored and the floors and there was windows. I also drew my own cartoon tv show that I was going to produce later in life but I was plotting the story and writing the themesong. I created character designs and wrote a storylines for all of them. They were a family called the quincy’s.

Rimzies part 1 and part 2 are one of my most favorite videos to rewatch. It strangely fills me with so much joy. Like reliving my childhood innocence in a video.
Haha looking back on it, it's kinda like that for me as well!
My weirdest childhood project was a comic called Super Bob. He was a boring guy with a muffin hairdo, and he found capes and masks in a dumpster, so he put them on him and all of his sheep (who also have muffin hairdos) and so he decided to become superbob. His secret layer was his house with a cape and mask on it. He bored criminals so much they rather be in jail, so I guess he was effective...
Edit: autocorrect decided "become" was two words... for a reason.
paranoiaprincess my childhood art thing was a comic of a super hero named super cheese man XD and he went around and used his stinky cheese stench to knock out enemies and his villain was evil rat... this was made when I was 5

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH LONG VIDEOS FOR THE WIN! ID LOVE TO SEE STEPH TRY AND RE CREATE A RIMZIE SCENE AS AN ADULT!💛
My brother & I made elaborate houses for a stuffed dog family out of cardboard and packing tape, decorated extensively. But my childhood "magnum opus" would be the work I did for our Bionicle world (Bionicle is a Lego thing: kind of like action figures, but built out of many small pieces, so heroes and monsters can be rearranged to make new characters). We started from the established Bionicle lore (the first movie) and rapidly developed our own characters, powers, and lands--and I drew many maps, kept track of our stories and lore, invented interesting new combinations... (My brother did all the building of characters). Ah, fond memories =)

Steph, I’m pretty sure we would’ve been best friends as kids! I absolutely loved doing this same stuff! I was obsessed with Polly Pocket and Neopets for the same reasons, and I got into roleplaying in Runescape pretty young. I never had anything of this level though because I couldn’t focus on one project for more than a couple of months. I had a lot of similar stuff but not all in one thing. The biggest one I can remember is when I put fairies up for adoption - I drew them on paper plates so they were sturdier and made paper doll style clothes. I was a greedy child though, I sold them for a quarter each and extra for accessories. I loved this video and it gave me so much nostalgia, thanks for sharing!

You're SO not alone, Steph! I used to make tiny paper houses and shops, too! And not only to myself, but to all of my friends as well, so we could play together. I was the creative, artsy kid haha! This video brought back so many memories! I relate so much with collecting random materials to build these worlds with, like plastic from you boxes, pieces of foam, cardboxes and stuff haha! I wish I still had at least one of those things I used to make but alas, they're long gone...

You should do a new series! Where you and Adam each make your own paper town! And each episode you both make the same type of building, but in your own style for your own folder! You could make characters from previous old videos like your frogs and cat lady! I know it would be time consuming, but it would be cool if you remade this because this is cool now, but I can’t imagine with your amazing art style how crazy awesome you could make this!

This is awesome! As an author of fantasy books it's basically what I did for my stories, just in written form. Created my own language, designed my own cultures, histories of created nations, even made my own planet with wars and empires just to flesh out a setting for my series that I've been writing for 5 years now and have published the first book. Like you said, it's like your magnum opus. And I loved Neopets as a kid too! Thank you for sharing this, it was really enjoyable and made me nostalgic for my childhood when I had the most time to create :D
when your trying to untangle your earbuds while they are plugged in and the video is playing and you just hear steph and adams voice every time one gets close to you. hahha
This was the kind of stuff I was into as a child, although I was never organized enough to put it all together like this. Still, I fondly remember making a cast of characters that consisted of tiny fruit, and laboring over a Barney versus Godzilla one-time event poster 🙄I've been struggling to World build for a project and I think this might be the way to go about it. I've been trying to be so mature about all of my art projects. Thanks for reminding me that that's really not necessary all the time.
