Thank you so much. My nebulizer machine came without instructions. I just tried it for the first time. I was prescribed 3 ml every 6 hours. I watched a demo by a respiratory therapist so I know how to use it correctly but I am not able to take a deep breath at all. Any suggestions? Also, how long should I expect it to take before I can feel any relief? 5 minutes? 10? 20? I appreciate any and all suggestions you might have. Thanks again.

What do I do when my brand new nebulizer pump does NOT work.... it turns on, and makes a quiet sound, but no air is coming through?!!

My compressor was checked and the pressure went up to a 12 but it still won’t Mist. The part where it looks like white smoke coming out when you breathe. I picked up a new kit and hooked it up and it still won’t Mist.

@@joseneri6306 This was very helpful thanks. I had washed the parts out with soap and water in the sink. I didn't realize I was missing this little cone piece. Had to go back and find it.

Sir my kit is ok. Air is also coming out with pressure but there is no mist.
I see no up to date comments here, but, I have a nebulizer like yours here, but, needed to replace the tubing and all.......but at each end of the tubing there is a little slightly larger end that hooks onto the machine and the other one hooks onto your breathing mister...........anyway these two ending pieces on the new parts will not fit my nebulizer........wonder why, I am past the time to return them, is there anything I can do to stretch them??,,,

iam not getting alot a vapor takes me around 45 minutes to do my treatment clean everything, do you think my pump may not be strong enough?
chuck scicluna Sounds like yer pump is going out or you have a plugged/fowled nebulizer piece. Have you tried it with a brand new nebulizer on the same pump?

I poured the asthalin into the nebulizer but it does not mist. Do you know why?
Hi Love - I have a Medix AC2000 unit that cost me over $200 AUSD, so it wasn't a cheap one. It worked ok when I needed it for a respiratory infection late last year, but now, just like yours - mine produces no vapor out of the chamber when it is running. I know that the parts need regularly replacing - but which parts would cause this problem? If you find out any more let me know. Steve.
Try taking the filter out, i was just having the same issue and thats what fixed it for me

Not recommended to use just cos you want to. No, use proper medication

Actually, cleaning with vinegar and water needs to be done DAILY (for those that use it daily). Also, it needs to soak for at least a couple of hours, or overnight. This nebulizer is designed to nebulize anything in this cup. Therefore, this is why it is important NOT to use detergents (ie dishwahser, bleach, ... ). Simply rinse with water before using. Better yet, ask your MD for an MDI with spacer... works just as well, less expensive, and you don't have to worry about contamination.

Chakitta Johnson Just cleaned the tiny hole that atomizes or nebulizes the solution into vapor. Used a clean toothbrush and dish soap. Works fine again. 2+ year old nebulizer. Also cleaned the air filter pad.
Chakitta Johnson Honestly, take the pipe part (or gun, dunno what else to call it) and tap it on a table top. I have to do that all the time.
